My wife and I recently stayed at the Art Hotel Amsterdam, and despite a few challenges outside the hotel’s control, our stay was truly exceptional. The staff were absolutely amazing - friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. A special mention to Betty Launay, whose warmth, professionalism, and dedication truly stood out. She made sure every detail was taken care of and made us feel like valued guests from start to finish. The spa and gym facilities are outstanding - beautifully maintained, relaxing, and among the best we’ve experienced. The spa, in particular, was a highlight and the perfect place to unwind after a day in the city. If we return to Amsterdam, this will be our hotel of choice without hesitation. Highly recommended!

I recently returned to art'otel Amsterdam and had a very enjoyable stay. Check-in was flawless — extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, with excellent access to parking, public transport, and a wide variety of restaurants, shops, and bars. I felt safe and comfortable at all times.||The room was clean, modern, and well-finished, though a bit compact. The lighting was limited to three preset scenarios, and a broken window was a minor flaw. However, the comfortable bed, working air conditioning, and thoughtful welcome sweets with a personal card as a Platinum Elite guest made up for it.||The bathroom was clean and stylish, but the glass toilet door was faulty and stuck to the floor. Public areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean, and the staff was outstanding — professional, warm, and attentive throughout.||Breakfast was decent, though service felt a bit disorganized, and the bread selection could have been better. Still, the atmosphere and rest of the offering were great.||Although the stay was quite expensive for the room size, the overall experience was positive, and I would happily return thanks to the service quality and unbeatable location.

I stayed in this gorgeous hotel for one night while in transit through Amsterdam. The location simply can't be beat - once you walk out of the central station, it's right there. More shopping, bars and restaurants than you could possibly hope to visit in one trip lie within easy walking distance. The room was spacious, luxurious and tastefully decorated, offering excellent quality of sleep. My only regret is that I didn't have more time to enjoy what looked like a serene pool and well-equipped fitness center. One caveat: While this is a luxury hotel in a prime location, be prepared for a price tag to match, not just on the room but on extras as well.

I recently organized an event at art'otel Amsterdam. Our participants loved the look and feel of the venue, the quality of the food and beverage, and the warm, welcoming service. I'm also extremely happy with the value for money - we’ll definitely be back to host more events in the future.

I stayed during 17-18 July, arriving quite distressed. The day before I hiked too much, and before I found myself at the hotel entrance by chance, my Uber was canceled. In hindsight this was for the best as I was car sick also. I had to find some place cool asap. I was overwhelmed, exhausted, had heavy luggage and was in pain. I decided to enter the hotel, I kept my composure but could tell the wonderful receptionist completely picked up on how worn out I actually felt. Every single staff member was absolutely comforting and professional. The room was very spacious, and had a makeup mirror. (I usually go to 5 star hotels and this is the first hotel ever for me that actually has a makeup mirror) The massage was amazing and my masseuse was very thoughtful, my legs already felt so much better after it. The pool was a very nice treat too. The food was incredibly good as was the service. This 4 star hotel and staff has exceeded other 5 star hotels I've been in, in many ways. Thank you all for everything, that stay had a massive positive impact on my health in various ways. I'll be back 💕🧚

What a refreshing change from the usual hotel experience! The hotel itself is an art gallery, with a whole range of modern design features. most of which come off beautifully. The few exceptions are the complex light switch arrangements in the rooms and the dim light in the lift but the overall impression is light and happy and just plain fun. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful, the ARCA restaurant is exceptional and the location is perfect. Definitely looking forward to getting back again.

Wish we could have stayed longer! This hotel is located right across from the central train station, convenient to everything. It is located in an old historic building, but everything about the interior is contemporary and very avant-garde. The rooms are well appointed, including bathrobes, and very quiet. Our room faced the street and the train station but there was no street noise except for the occasional siren. There are bicycles for rent for a very reasonable fee, complimentary umbrellas, and a breakfast to die for. Did I mention breakfast is available until 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM on weekends with cooked to order eggs? The front desk staff and the concierge were very helpful and always cheerful. There is a beautiful and very peaceful wellness center including an indoor pool and huge gym. We just needed more time to experience. This is definitely a hotel I would book again.

Loved our stay at art'otel! The location is unbeatable—right by Central Station and close to everything. The rooms are stylish, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and a cool, artsy vibe throughout. Highly recommend for a fun and easy Amsterdam stay! My Mom and I (both from Romania) connected with Denisa during the check-in process and she was so sweet and wonderful!

Yelp
Funky, modern hotel located conveniently across the street from the central train station and in the middle of all the city center action. Our room was nice and quiet for sleeping. Location is walking distance to many things. Very touristy area, though, so that kept us walking right past most of the shops and restaurants that were nearest to the hotel. Much of the art on display throughout the hotel and in the guest room is quirky and a bit racy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, both at the check-in and concierge counters. They even helped us book tickets for a canal boat tour. Our room was very spacious and clean. We even had a bit of a view from the window (mostly street view, but also a bit of the canal). Like so many modern hotels, the bathroom area was a bit atypical, with the sink and (ample) counter space mostly in the open, while toilet and showers are contained within their own separate stalls. There is actually a switch on the wall that let's you frost or unfrost the glass walls of the bathroom, according to your preferences... definitely don't share a room with someone you won't trust with that power! The hand lotion and soap smelled very nice, FYI. A few quirks. They apparently have to manually unlock the fridge/mini bar from the front desk when you check in. We learned this when we found our fridge was locked upon our arrival. Our room didn't have a remote control for the TV, which didn't really matter since we weren't going to use it, but we wanted to turn the TV off since it displays a room directory by default. Finally, it seems like someone (another guest?) stole the "Do Not Disturb" sign from our door and our neighbors' doors at some point? The front desk helped us with all this stuff, but just some weird things to share. Amsterdam hotels (and particularly in the city center) are wildly expensive. Credit card points helped us stay at this conveniently located, pleasant property.

Yelp
We had dinner here one night, and overall it was a good meal. It was pricey which isn't a problem for me but I was surprised to be charged 8 euro for bread and only receive one roll and a minute amount of olive oil. I got a fantastic octopus entree (it was cooked perfectly) and my boyfriend got iberico pork entree, also very good. The desserts were the highlight to me. The one award winning dessert with the peanut butter I wish had more peanut butter as we didn't really discover it till the last bite and it was so tasty. The other passionfruit dessert was so unique and different, I would definitely order that again. Restaurant itself was hip and modern and the service was as expected for an upscale place. I would return again.

Yelp
What an excellent hotel !! Steps away from Amsterdam Centraal. This hotel is clean and the staff is nice. We got in quite early from our flight and by luck my room was ready when we got there. Check in was super smooth. I can't say enough about this hotel. Right now, 15/07/2021, food options in the hotel are not operating, it they're working with the restaurant next door for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This will be my go-to hotel when we visit Amsterdam.

Yelp
One of the cleanest and nicest hotels near the center of everything. The have a good restaurant and a cute bar inside. Far better than most NH collections. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This is a very modern hotel that truly embraces form over function. It is immaculate but they go overboard trying to be artsy and hip. The rooms are DARK and laid out in a very disfunctional manner. We will find another hotel for future stays in Amsterdam.

Yelp
Very new and nice, but be warned: "It is very eclectic with modern art and a very modern style. You have to make sure this is your taste. It is very clean and staff is very nice. Nice location

Yelp
Fantastic hotel in Amsterdam all around! Great location, trendy, clean, and friendly. If your in Amsterdam and want to try a unique hotel that is upmost professional and clean this is the one. Swanky and artsy it's very entertaining to stay here. Everything is very modern with a twist of pop art flair. The rooms were clean and simple. The beds are beyond comfortable! Everything just felt crisp and clean. Slept so good! It's the little details like the aromatherapy gifts or the blue mood lighting that really got my attention. It's hard to explain you'd have to see for yourself. Friendly service as well from start to finish. Everyone was lovely. The best part of the hotel is how professional and accommodating everyone was. I felt very welcomed here and safe! Also side note: great little morning breakfast restaurant on the main floor up the stairs. Some of the best fresh apple juice and eggs I've ever had. I know it's silly but that's one of the breakfasts I remember from my trip. All in all a great hotel, I'd highly recommend anyone to stay here if they are in the area.

Yelp
Loved the Art'otel. It reminds us of the 21C in Louisville. Did Marsha's shady boyfriend steal their playbook? Perfect location. If you take the train from Schiphol to Centraal Station, you just walk across the street to the hotel. You can board trams, canal boats and buses right there as you explore the city. Staff can hook you up with attraction passes if you need them. Their concierge was great and provided us with a lot of good tips and insight. We had a big room at the end of the hall that faced the station. It wasn't loud at all. Relaxing king bed, desk and chairs, iron and board, safe, flatscreen tv, robes, slippers, soaker tub, rain shower, large sink area and an espresso machine. In short, all you'll need. Housekeeping was spotty, but nothing that would give us a moment of hesitation at returning for another stay. Breakfast was included at the hotel restaurant. It was the same each day, which could be shaken up for some variety. The dinner we had here at 5&33 was one of the best of our trip and not to be missed. Modern art touches all around the hotel and a lower level gallery to explore.

Yelp
As good as it gets! I LOVE this Hotel. We stayed here for our 18th Anniversary mini world tour! Love Amsterdam by the way it is so beautiful. Side note: Coffee shops are cool. Get the sativa muffin :) Moving on, the customer service was amazing. Charlotte and Janise were so lovely checking us in, taking our luggage, whatever! Once we arrived, we needed ice of course because it was time to make a drink. As soon as my hubs opened the door to get some, there was a nice young fella at the door with 2 glasses of champagne for us. How sweet! Right outside of our window was a lovely view of the canals. This place is located in the Centraal area, thus is central to the whole city. Transportation, walking, canals, whatever. You can walk to Red Light, Bars, Restaurants, Boats, Bikes, and whatever you little heart desires. Kai at the bar was great and his hair is super cool. He even walked us from the bar directly to our table where we dined. I don't remember the meal much, however the service and atmosphere was good. All in all, I will return to this art'otel. Hopefully we will luck up with the same room.. That would be amazing.

Yelp
I love this hotel. It's been two years since my visit and my friend and I both talk about it! The hotel itself is right across from the train station which was glorious when we arrived in the later evening via train from the airport. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The common areas were lively. It seems locals visit the bar for drinks and dinners. The food is amazing! I still want the octopus two years later. Yes the hotel has a sex theme which might offend some. I found it to be hilarious considering how close to the red light district you are. This is Amsterdam after all and sperm sculptures in the courtyard definitely make sense here. The rooms were large and modern. Added bonus for me as they had ABBA on demand which drove my friend nuts. The bathroom was mostly red glass and the amenities were nice. My only regret was not staying longer.

Yelp
Everything about this hotel and our experience here was 5 stars. As my husband said, they have a "yes" philosophy about service here. No matter what you need, they will try to find a way to accommodate your request. From the second we stepped into the hotel from our very short walk across the street from the train station, we felt the warm atmosphere of hospitality. The hotel looks very hip and fancy, but the attitude of the staff is not pretentious in any way. Our room was not huge, but it was well appointed. We were obsessed with the Illy espresso machine in our room. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the breakfast. Fresh squeezed OJ and the most amazing fresh apple juice I've ever drank along with whatever coffee drink I wanted was something we looked forward to every morning. The breakfast pastries were delicious. I've never been a fan of porridge (oatmeal), but the kind they make at art'otel is delicious. I'm sure it was made with full fat everything, but I didn't care. It was amazing! This hotel has spoiled us for all other hotel stays!

Yelp
Art'otel is the best. Just the best. We stayed here for two days, and it's literally one of my favorite hotel experiences ever! LOCATION The hotel is literally across the street from Central Station, so whether you're flying or training in its ridiculously easy to navigate to. While you're there it's walking distance from all your favorite Amsterdam attractions and a ton of great bars. It can't be beat for convenience. BREAKFAST You get free breakfast... I mean come on. I'm Asian, I can't help but love free stuff. The wait staff are all lovely, and you can pick through the buffet or have eggs made freshly for you! Slight warning- the omelette presentation is interesting but not offensive. The eggs are beaten heavily and then served by itself. All traditional mix ins are served separately. The coffee is tasty, but we agreed it was low in caffeine. But hey- it's free! ROOMS Man the rooms are fantastic. Gorgeous lighting, beautiful amenities and high end toiletries. No rock is left unturned! They have everything from Elermis q-tips and soaps to a lovely nighttime aromatic pillow spray. They even give you a mini Elermis lip balm! Need more towels? Our floor had a permanent toiletry cart so you can grab what you need at will. And the coffee machine.. Oh my. It was amazing to have fantastic espresso right in your room! The jasmine green tea was also amazing, I wish I had brought some home : ) STAFF Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. Like almost uncomfortably nice. They were seriously the best. CROWD It's funny because on Trip Advisor some people cry about how this hotel has identity problems, but I don't think so. The crowd is generally young and sexy, but it doesn't feel smutty. This is perfect for young professionals who are NOT okay with hostels, but who don't mind the cheeky artwork/nod to what Amsterdam is famous for. You are just steps away from the red light district, after all I can't say enough good things about this place. So so recommended if you're staying in Amsterdam!

Yelp
We stayed here in October. The hotel is located literally metres from Centraal station, so superb for domestic and international travellers alike (20 mins by train from Schipol airport). The hotel is within a short walk of central areas, Dam Square, Damrak, Red Light District and canals/coffeeshops are all under 5 minutes walk away. Inside, lots of high ceilings, luxurious furnishings and quirky artwork everywhere, there is always something interesting to look at. Absolutely stunning bar/restaurant area with lots of moody lighting and flames making up very nice looking fixtures and sculptures. The room itself, WOW. We stayed in the art room with iconic view of the station. There are complimentary Elemis toiletries, and lovely free teas and coffees. The room has different light setings to suit your mood and free wi-fi. The bed was divine, the best I've ever slept in...luxurious sheets, extra large bed. Blackout curtains too. Breakfast is included, cooked to order by the talented chefs. Absolutely fantastic stay, we will be back. Visit now!!

Yelp
How I love this hotel! I had several drinks there, spend one night here, and enjoyed the dinner there twice, and I will be back! For food lovers: you MUST try the ox cheeks. Delish!

Yelp
All other hotels I will stay at will now be measured against this incredible stay. It is the best of the best and made my stay in Amsterdam extra memorable. First of all, the staff are incredibly lovely. When I came early to store my luggage before exploring, they took the time to ask what my plans were and pull out a map to recommend certain spots that I shouldn't miss. And they were totally right! The room was perfect. Most comfortable bed in memory and all the amenities you could need. The bathroom was sleek and upscale, and there was even an espresso machine for your use! Obviously, one of the highlights is the free breakfast. Their spread is massive, with bread, pastries, cereal, fruits -- and hot breakfast to order. TIP: Get there early. I really enjoyed my breakfast when it was relatively empty in the restaurant area (~7a) rather than later. It wasn't bad, just more peaceful the earlier you go. The location cannot be beat. It's directly across from Centraal Station and walking distance to EVERYWHERE. Or, if you don't feel like walking to Museumplein, the trams are steps away from the hotel and take you anywhere you need to go. All in all, I am trying to make plans for the next time I can be in Amsterdam both because I love the city AND this hotel. Look no further, this is where you should stay!

Yelp
Art'otel was by far the best hotel we stayed in on our 2 week trip. I love the modern and fun decor and the incredibly comfortable bed. The hip vibe might not be for everyone; it does seem to suit Amsterdam very well. We were offered head-of-the-line passes to major attractions when we checked in and although we didn't get to use it, I thought that it was a nice touch. While the room was not large, it was perfectly designed and had everything you need and little touches that you wouldn't expect. My favorite part was the cute "peekaboo" switch between the bedroom and bathroom area. Breakfast was included and consisted of a very good buffet of pastries, cheeses, fruits, and cereals as well as made to order hot items such as eggs, bacon, and sausage. On our last day, we had to catch an early train and the kitchen prepared a lovely to-go box for us with fresh croissants. The hotel is located directly across from the train station, which is excellent because of the easy access to other European cities, the airport (15 min train ride from airport to train station) and local public transportation (basically all local trams stopped at the train station). It's also a 5-10 minute walk to the Red Light District, Dam Square, and many other points of interest. We were very satisfied with our stay, which we booked with Club Carlson points through a co-branded credit card. It was a very good value for our points (although less so now since there has been a recent devaluation) given the high nightly price of the hotel.

Yelp
We had a room on the fourth floor facing the station, but there was only minimal noise. The room was nicely furnished, clearly seen some use, but still clean, contemporary in furniture and lighting. (The only real part that should have been corrected were some large scuff marks from furniture on a wall.) The breakfast was very good, but somedays when the restaurant was full the staff was clearly undermanned and their scurrying about was an annoyance. The hotel has a largish gym and a pool (about 7*4m) with a finnish sauna, all of which in good order and not too busy.

Robin K.

Yelp
We were planning to stay at this LOVELY hotel in Amsterdam before a cruise next week. Obviously all cruises have been cancelled because of pandemic, and most hotels and airlines are being generous with thier refunds and vouchers. Not Radisson. They are offering a one year credit, valid only at the same hotel. They have thousands of hotels, yet expect us to stay in the same hotel across the world, when we will obviously be unable to use it. After multiple emails and phone calls requesting that they allow us to stay in any Radisson Hotel, I was simply sent a link to their policy, stating that this is their COVID-19 policy. No refund - must stay at the same hotel. I'll never stay at a Radisson Hotel again, and advise you do the same.

Yelp
Convenient location across the street from Centraal Station, cool artsy interiors, and a good included breakfast buffet. Friendly, helpful staff, especially Noelina who gave us our initial tour of the property and looked after us while we were there. We'll be back.

Yelp
Some oddball design elements here, but most of it they get right. The staff was ON POINT though and you can't beat that. The facility has a great gym in it and the location is great for not getting lost .

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were not guests here during this trip however we had such an amazing experience we will be staying at this hotel the next time we visit Amsterdam. We had to catch our train at 7:15 and were extremely hungry, their restaurant opens at 6:30 and is right next to the station so we stopped in to grab a quick bite...Florence, the lady at the front desk was more than accommodating. The buffet was clearly for guests only however she rang us up and we were able to go in, her co-worker at the time (I will butcher his name so not going to attempt) also checked our luggage and as we ate Florence checked which terminal our train was leaving from so we would not have to worry once we arrived at the station. Even though we were not staying at the hotel the staff made us feel more than welcome and definitely went above and beyond! We can't wait to visit your establishment in the future!

Kelly B.

Yelp
Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and stylish. Amenities are good, as well. Hotel has excellent ambiance and decor, and the bar boasts a fantastic club scene. Breakfast is varied and high quality, and the location couldn't be better. Definitely stay here.

Mark K.

Yelp
This is a review based on the cafe/bar area only. dated interior, rubbish art and piss poor coffee.
