ARTSY Cascais

My wife and I spent a wonderful four nights in Cascais.|||We stayed in a superior bedroom in the Artsy Cascais - a room with a balcony and a sea view. ||What more would one desire?|||On arrival we were met by Madalena at reception. Her friendliness accompanied by the required professionalism set the ||tone for our stay. And all of the staff whom we encountered in the hotel were very much up to that mark. Helpful and courteous at all times. |||The hotel itself is situated a few hundred meters from the beach and the town centre. A perfect ||location.|||The room was well designed, roomy, but cosy at the same time with an extremely comfortable ||bed and linens. The bathroom layout was ideal and coupled with that rainfall shower, was just||fabulous. Instant hot water and a so easy to use mixer set (often an issue in many hotels).|||The hotel has a plunge pool and loungers on the roof – I availed of this on just the one occasion.||A thank you to the helpful Rod (Rodrigo)!|||The hotel is typical of boutique hotels – quiet, both day and night. For drinks and meals with ||sauntered into Cascais and the wonderful sea walk from Cascais to Estoril is one not to miss with||plenty of choices to stop along the way for a cocktail or a coffee.|||Marks: I give the hotel top marks for staff, comfort, location and overall ambience.|||The only quibble we had was with the breakfast – the coffee was a little weak (to our taste at ||least) and while the breakfast was well presented it too lacked a little, particularly the scrambled ||eggs. On the plus side, the Eggs Benedict was perfect.|||We’d suggest better coffee with the option of a coffee pot, rather than refilling cups. That said, ||we would like to thank the breakfast staff for their warmth and friendliness each morning.|||So, overall, we rate the Artsy Cascais very highly and have no hesitation in recommending it to ||visitors to Cascais and we will look forward to returning in the hear future.

This stunning, relatively new hotel in Cascais is not to be missed. The location is unbeatable—set beside one of the most beautiful marinas we’ve seen, right on the main walking path to the historic center, and just a short stroll from lovely beaches. The hotel itself is a chic work of art: elegant, romantic, and thoughtfully designed. The rooftop pool and lounge area was extra decadent and a wonderful oasis. Every staff member was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and eager to help. We stayed in an attic room, which was magnificent, with a balcony offering incredible views of the marina and the sea. Simply unforgettable.

The Artsy Cascais is a beautiful hotel with wonderful, attentive staff. The 'Cosy' room was bigger than I expected with a very comfortable bed. At breakfast, the food was altered to accommodate my dietary needs and I was encouraged to try as much as possible! The rooftop pool is a lovely place to spend some time too. I am said I only got two spend a couple of nights there and wish I could have stayed longer. Truly five star service.

We had a great stay at the hotel and highly recommend it. The location is very convenient and walkable into the town, staff were super helpful and nothing was too much trouble, their recommendations were all great and they were super accommodating. The breakfasts were amazing. The pool is perfectly situated and a great place to hang out. The children (not so young, 21 and 17) also really enjoyed it.

This hotel was in a great location. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. On day one, we were warmly welcomed and met the manager of the property. The restaurant serves only breakfast and lunch. The entire restaurant staff were wonderful. By the end of day two, the service at the hotel dropped off significantly and any request was met with annoyance by front end staff. My guess is that once the manager left the property, the attention to the guests was not a priority. As a result of not having a full service restaurant, they have in room mini bars and a roof top "honesty" bar. Neither were restocked after day one of our stay.

The staff is incredible… very warm, professional, hard working. ||The website/expedia was not too clear about the restaurant - the restaurant is only open for breakfast and lunch and the rooftop has no service unless you ask the front desk to bring you drinks/food etc… and usually it’s one person taking care of everything - check-in, valet, baggage handling, customer service, etc - really not fair to the staff and to the customer. Also - no sit down bar which was annoying because the promotional videos have a mixologist preparing drinks for clients (misleading). ||We also had an issue getting our car back to the hotel the second night - the city closed off the streets for the light festival. Not the hotel’s fault but we should have been advised. It took us 2 hours to figure out a parking situation and then walk back to the hotel with our bags! That annoyance could have been avoided. ||Besides that - the hotel is very clean and pretty and in a beautiful part of Cascais.

This is small, boutique hotel that is beautifully done. The rooms are very comfortable and appealing. The Manager is personally available all of the time. The Staff is pleasant, friendly and excellent at their jobs. This hotel is a must.

Coming back to Artsy was like coming home. it is one of my favorite Boutique Hotel I have been. The rooms are fabulous, service absolutely professional and very nice and competent
