Arturo Joe's

Arturo’s is a nice restaurant. It has a romantic, classy vibe. The food was good. The stuffed mushroom caps, pesto fries were a nice start. Those fries would definitely benefit from a fresh squeeze of lemon and a side of marinara. The cavateli bolognese was good and very filling. The haddock was buttery with bread crumbs and tasted fresh. The Steak Dominick had good flavor but it was tough and there was a fair amount of gristle. A party of 35 sat before us so I am going to give the wait staff some consideration. Our entire meal end to end was 2 1/2 hours. Even with help, the drinks were slow to materialize with long waits in between and at one point we were like, where is our food. I was dying to leave by the end. Then, it was a pain to get the check. Bottom line. The people were friendly, the ambiance nice, and the food good. I’d be willing to go again.

I came in a little bit before close and Katrina treated us with so much respect. She had our table giggling and gave very good recommendations for the food and the specials. The restaurant had an amazing ambiance. Katrina was amazing overall 10/10 loved her.

Food was subpar, red sauce too heavy for pizza. The clam pizza had hardly any clams on it. The Lobster roll was mostly celery, truffle fries were plain and flavorless. The servers also put all the hot plates in front of our 15 month old baby.

Loved the atmosphere. Incredible service. I really loved the pizza. Highly recommend renzo pie. The clam bacon and scallion. They knocked it out the park. The only part I didn't like was the bread. I also thought the food could use more seasons or flavourings.

The only issue was that the appetizer came out just before the dinners were served, so we didn’t end up finishing it. The dinners were good.

Excellent classic Italian!!! Good sized portions. Waitress was excellent!! Atmosphere rated a 4 only because we would have like a little more light. Otherwise, good! I would go again!

Arturo Joe’s was the venue we selected to host my son’s rehearsal dinner. We had a private room with a buffet service for forty people. We had craft pizzas, salad, chicken parm, pasta for dinner. Stuffed mushrooms for an app, coffee and fresh deserts.The servers were very attentive and efficient. We have a great evening!

There was only 4 tables and the waitress and kitchen were slow. Had to listen to the cook pound meat our entire time here. Staff took a table to keep their silverware as they didn’t have extras for their dessert- party tonight. The rose pizza was good and flavorful. The crust was too crispy for my liking. The chicken sausage Anthony was bland.

Went Wednesday night and had a very nice experience. One of the owners went around the restaurant greeting his guests. This is not the 1st time I have been there and witnessed him talking to people. Very impressive. Our waitress was an adorable college student from NJ and was very personable. A definite asset to Arturo's!! She was very patient and accommodating. The food was very good. I had Veal Brandy. The veal was tender and seasoned just right. The Lobster Ravioli and Veal Parm were also very good. The atmosphere was nice in the front room. I have been there before and dined in the backroom which was to loud and not as enjoyable. The bar is comfortable with couches to sit with a group. I don't usually leave reviews but felt since our waitress was awesome and the owner took the time to stop by our table they deserved a review.

First time here. Met with a friendly greeting when we first walked in. Sat down right away. We ordered some appetizers, clam chowder and a side salad. Chowder had a nice deep flavor of seafood, and the salad was fresh. We ordered a chicken parmigiana and seafood ravioli. Ravioli was light and creamy full of lobster. Just right. Chicken Parmigiana sauce could use some beefing up but other was good. Service was great and the bathrooms were clean. Definitely be back. Prices are reasonable.

Food was ok. Service was slow and we were the only people in the dining room. Our server was nice once she got to us. Food was pretty bland and sauce was ok, not great. The breading the beginning was the best part of our meal. Don't think we will be back.

One of our favorite spots to have a family dinner. My parents traveled from Maine and we had dinner last night. We were a table of 10. Food, portions, prices and service were all excellent. We will continue to dine here!!!

Went Saturday night for dinner and drinks (3/2/24). We sat at the bar in the separate bar area. The bar area is modern, cozy, very clean and has good seating space at the bar and with tables around the bar. The place was very busy. Our bartender was Christian. He was very pleasant, welcoming, very efficient with a packed room and very professional. The food was awesome. We have the Italians Pizza and tortellini carbonara which were both awesome! We also had hot & dirty martinis and expresso martinis and Christian rocked them both, one of the best for both martinis have ever had. Would definitely go back when in the area!!!!

Only complaint to start is the service which was slow, but they were severely understaffed. Food was delicious and portions were huge. Nice and clean dining room and great drink menu. A must try for locals and visitors alike!

I have been to Arturo Joe's many times and I must say this place is phenomenal. Having grown up in the tri-state area, I have had my fair share of great Italian food. Arturo Joe's has some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Far and away the best Italian food I've yet to try in Rhode Island. The restaurant and bar itself is constructed well and has a great environment. To top it off, the service is always flawless with every bartender I have had. They are personable, efficient, and caring. A must try when in the Narragansett area.

This is our go-to place. Open everyday and later than most restaurant in the area. Food is excellent and the service is good. Large portions of food and great tasting, also have great pizzas.

Italian restaurant? Is it? The bar area is fantastic ! Great place to have some drinks. We have had much enter Italian food at Olive Garden and try at is not saying much. The food is priced right and the portions are good, but I think the flavor was forgotten. It's obvious evening comes from a freezer and cans. Eh

First time here. Four of us for lunch. Calamari appetizer was soft and not crispy, overall it didn't taste fresh cooked. Bruschetta appetizer was served warm and not hot. Three of our meals came out together (all just luke warm) and the fourth came out ten minutes later. Everyone else's meal was cold by the time the last luke warm meal came out...no explanation or apology from waitress. All four meals were not fresh tasting and I would assume had been pre-prepared and just barely warmed for our service. Ordered coffee after the meal and it was warm, not hot, bitter and old tasting. The waitress gave us five tablespoons of cream for four coffees and no spoons, I asked her for more cream and spoons before she even left the table and neither ever came. In summary, I will not be returning to Arturo Joe's as I was very dissatisfied with the food.

Yummy Italian food with large portions. My daughter loved her chicken Parmesan. It's a bit loud inside but we will return.

Tonight we came in right before close and wanted dinner. We were one of "those" but the restaurant was really forgiving and they sat us outside because the lounge was super noisy! It was the perfect night for dinner al fresco! Christian our waiter was amazing! He impressed us with his memorizing of the specials and funny personality. He also had a blonde woman helping him who was just as personable! The Mango Sangria was DELICIOUS! Seriously good! They started the table off with WARM bread- an oil- which was amazing! Our entrees came out soon after and I ordered the chicken Parmesan and my bf got the veal special my son ordered the pasta with butter. Our meals were both delicious and we were really surprised to find a good Italian restaurant so close to the beach. The food was great, service was great, and drinks were great. We would definitely come back! 5 stars!

This resterant has been our go to lately, it always has great food. If your looking for good Italian food this is the go to in Narragansett. The sauce reminds me of moms, good old fashion Italian American, thick meaty flavor. The broccoli Rabe is perfect and one of the few Italian Resterant's that still serves veal and peas which are delicious. The wine pours are similar to what I pour at home and the service is fantastic!!

This review is for the catering. We had a graduation party and used Arturo's as our caterer. Our guests raved about the food. We have also eaten at Arturo's for dinner. It's always a great experience. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff is fantastic

I had my birthday here. The food was the best. They just about let me do whatever I wanted with my decorations. The service was wonderful. We played music my guests and I sang together. It was great. Thank you Arturo Joe's for a wonderful birthday for the record.

I took my boyfriend for his birthday since we were in the area. The service was horrible, the waitress was miserable and never checked on us. We got bread after being there for 30 minutes. We both had chicken parmigiana. The chicken was dry and gross. I felt awful for suggesting this place for a birthday dinner. I won't ever go there again. You know the saying stick with what you know.

Service is great at this bar. Its one of the only places in Narragansett to serve meals past 10 pm. Food is tasty and menu has a lot of choices. Linguine with clams is one of the best around. Bartenders are awesome as well. Only bad thing we had on the menu was mozzarella sticks. Other than that, this place is severely underrated

One of my favorite restaurants in Rhode Island. Great cocktails, and great meals. Calamari is amazing and I highly recommend the veal saltimbocca. Service is always great!

I ordered chicken saltiboca. And this is the crap they served me. Chicken caprese is what I know it to be. Lmao. Manager knew I did not like it or ordered it but gave me a whole glass of wine inside of taking shit food off check that I did not eat. A whole 7 dollar glass of wine that cost him 75 cents. Don't waste your time here. Just gross.

We have been coming to Arturo Joe's for years and the experience is ALWAYS great. Great food, great service, great ambiance. This is our "go-to" for great Italian even though it is 40-45 minutes from home and there are plenty of closer Italian restaurants. Will be back soon.

Great food! But don't sit at bar only regulars get served. we moved to dining room all other parties got their drinks even people that came in after us. Maybe just order wine??.

came to treat myself after a long 3 hour and 34 minute shift at wendys to take the edge off. First i was offered a drink menu which gave me a giggle because i'm 17. I ordered a coke but one was never given to me so i had to ask again. she asked for our food and afterwards i expected bread. but as time went bread never came. it was like i was in a desert, and i saw an oasis. but it was a mere mirage. When our food came we had to ASK for our bread. disappointing. my food was so yummy, light, and creamy!!! mmm!!! yes!!! creammmmy. On the contrary my friend got a MEATY pizza. The poppy. So meaty, thick, cheese like a white yummy cream. Maybe i should try putting in the meaty poppy into my rich creamy alfredo. The cheese drizzling into each crevice. in other news, bread came out and was dry. coke was bussin bussin.

The service and food were absolutely top notch. Our server was fantastic. Her recommendations were perfect. What a great family weekend.

Great local spot in Narragansett for some Italian cuisine. Great staff and someone is always checking on you. The most important part is the food is great. Good sized portions and flavorful menu. Everyone in my party enjoyed there meals and desert was awesome. Great place to enjoy a meal!

There was a party next to my table & they were super obnoxious. The food was average at best. The drinks were top notch. Probably won't go again. Management was rude.

This was one of my favorites but I hadn't been here for a while, and finally returned. Food was just as good as I remembered. Service was excellent. Overall a very good dining experience. I will be back again.

We were vacationing in Narragansett, RI and looking for descent Italian restaurant to go to. Arturo Joe's exceeded our expectations. There were five in our party. Two of the folks had the Shrimp Scampi and they loved it. I had the Cavatelli Bolognese. It was awesome. The youngster in our party had the typical Pasta & Meatballs and had no complaints (she ate the whole dish). The last person had the House Salad topped with the Salmon. We all had desserts. What was incredible was the Tiramisu which is made at the restaurant. Alone this could be split 4 ways if you wanted. Anyway, Arturo Joe's is not your typical Italian restaurant. It is definitely a step above and the prices are reasonable. Also, the restaurant owner/ manager stopped by our table to see how things were going and if there was anything else we needed. The service was great even though they seemed to be extremely busy with limited staff. You have got to tr4y this place if you are in the area. I could be tempted to make the two-hour drive from my house just to have another meal at this restaurant. Buon Appetit!

Extensive menu and daily specials. Our server, Alex, was attentive and personable. The seafood is freshly caught and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous and the basket of breads to dip in olive oil was delicious. Our cocktails, tall and tasty and main dishes cooked exactly as requested. We had baked haddock and a ribeye special with vegetable of the day-eggplant,carrots and onions. The interior is cozy and not too noisy. The friendly staff and tasty menu will have us returning soon.

We came here while on vacation. Hubby really wanted a pizza and I did not. He orders a pizza with sausage and really enjoyed it. I ordered a chicken portobello entree. Finally an entree that delivers on the volume of mushrooms that o think it should. The chicken was very moist and served over pasta of choice - mine was cavatapi. The highlight of the dinner was the unexpected flash fried angel hair pasta that was in the bread basket. Maybe this is a New England thing but this gal from Michigan never had that before.

Not too many complaints, but no enthusiasm either. Good-size portions, adequate service, and reasonable prices. Mixed fries were good. Being the only diners at lunchtime could have had its benefits, but instead it felt like they'd rather have been closed. Sniffling waitress bolstered my support for guaranteed sick-day laws.

My family ate there tonight. 5 different meals and they were all excellent. Service was professional, courteous and attentive. While the meals were prefect and hot, the toasted ravioli appetizer was average at best. I had Cavatelli Bolognese which i strongly recommend. We took home a Tiramisu which was delicious.

I have gone to this restaurant a few times and it was decent but recently on March 12 2023 my husband and I went there for dinner. I ordered cavatti bolognese and it came out with no meat in the sauce just a thick sauce. it was dried up so I sent it back. I ordered salmon and it came out raw. The salmon was totally uncooked and disgusting so I sent that back also. Manager comes over defending the meals and practically chastising is for not eating the awful meals and sending them back. We argued back and forth and said we would not be back. The bill came and the 24 dollar salmon dish was on the bill. He came over and said I charged you because you said you weren't coming back! We paid for our other food and got up and walked right out. Awful food and awful manager. Do yourself a favor don't go there

We love Arturo Joes all of the time as it is our go to place . But it's been our tradition to go there New Year's Eve . Again this year they did not disappoint us. The peach sangria was the cocktail of choice. Appetizers were the arugula salad and Giovanni Calamari which were served exactly with requests for items on the side. Entrees were scallops Florentine, chicken with figs and caramelized onion over penne , and veal saltimbocca. To finish off this delightful meal, espresso gelato , lemon cream pound cake and tiramisu . Great food, great service with Tori , I would recommend this restaurant again and again. Ordered pizzas. Crust was dry, and upon inspection there was no sauce on either one. Menu did not indicate this clearly.

Outstanding. The veal brandy was lights out. Possibly better than any entree I've ever eaten in Federal Hill or the North End. Variety of calamari apps. Fantastic tortellini. Very reasonably priced. The entrees were so good I'm not sure why people would come here to get pizza...but I'm sure it's excellent.

Arturo Joe's is a great restaurant with something for everyone. The service is exceptional, the food is delicious, and the pricing is appropriate based on the portion sizes. We dined here on our way home from the beach a few weeks ago. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan which came with a dinner salad. The salad was fresh and the eggplant was perfectly cooked. We will be back next time we're in the area.

Had two different types of calamari, buffalo and regular both were great. Lobster ravioli was very good, so was the clam pizza. Restaurant was hard to find, could use better signage.

A little over a month in advance, I began looking for a venue that could accommodate a party of 20 for a luncheon to follow my son's baptism. Many places told me they were unavailable for the date I needed, they do not take reservations for a party that big, or that they did not hold private events during the summer months. I wasn't sure what I was going to do until I decided to call Arturo Joe's. My first question was to ask if they had a maximum on the number of people who could be in one party. The hostess who had answered the phone asked what I had in mind. When I said I needed a space to hold a luncheon for 20 people, she did not hesitate. She simply asked me whether the front room or the back room would be better. Our experience was fantastic! We arrived for our reservation early and the server was still setting up for us, so we were able to hang out in the bar area until the table was ready. She came to get us when it was time to be seated. Our meals were fresh and delicious. The service was top notch! I am so grateful to Arturo Joe's and the staff for making our day so enjoyable! If you are looking for a space to hold your next event, definitely consider Arturo Joe's as a top option, you won't be disappointed!

i walk in and instantly feel welcomed and at home. Managment and staff are unbelievably kind and respectful. The owner is warm and welcoming. The food is great and the bartenders especially Christian are out of this world. Christian always lights up a dark bar with a wonderful smile and a quick joke to keep his people at the bar on there toes. The man needs a raise asap. Lorenzo though!! if none have had the pleasure of meeting him he is truly great man. He pours so much in the establishment and is not afraid to get to work with them. Thats a man who not only teaches but leads by example. All around I highly recommend this place!

This place is great! Love the bread when you sit down, and the food was amazing. Any of the pasta dishes are really rich and filling, might be sharing a plate with a friend next time! They give you a lot and the service was great as well.

Too bad food is good service at the bar however was terrible . There on friday 9/3 at 4 pm nice bartender im the beginning . Female bartender comes in at 430 never comes over totally ignore with empty drinks in front of us . Talking to her regulars checking her hair in the mirror . Regular bartender comes back also ignores our empty glasses. Sorry to say we checked out and left !! If i was management i'd have a staff meeting called customer service !

I was looking for an Italian restaurant down in Narragansett and settled on Arturo Joe's. As I entered the restaurant, I noticed there was not much social distancing between each table, with the exception of a curtain blocking each table from seeing each other. In my personal opinion, this acts more as a privacy barrier than it does a virus protector, because each table was less than 6ft apart from each other. The service was spot on, with our food coming out in less than 20 minutes, and waiters being attentive to drink re-fills. Unfortunately the food was overpriced for the quality and flavor. I ordered the pink penne Alfredo with chicken, and although the sauce was good, it was definitely something I could make at home for half the price. The chicken was disappointing. Yes, they were generous and gave two chicken breasts- but it was absolutely bland. I'd recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and are dead set on having Italian, but for what it's worth I think with a good recipe you can cook up something equivalent at home for half the price.

I really dig this place. I love how the bar area is separate from the restaurant. Once you walk in, there's another door you walk through and there is a huge bar and lounge area. Leather couches and chairs, little tables and big screen tv's. It's a great place to chill and have a couple of drinks while waiting to be seated. I have been here a few times and the food is always delicious! Their Calamari Balsamic app is just to die for! I get it every time I come here. My entree's have been the Lobster Ravioli (my fav by the way), the Tortellini Alfredo and the Penne Pink Alfredo. Their menu has a good size of options including wood grilled pizzas. I have nothing bad to say about Arturo Joe's at all. They can accommodate large parties but just make sure you call ahead to make reservations.

This will be my " go to" Italian restaurant in south county We made reservations on a very busy 4th of July weekend at 7 pm They took us promptly. Service was very good There was a wide variety of items I would order .. along with the traditional dishes Prices were reasonable . Portions were very generous Treat yourself and go!

Service was great! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Came here last minute looking to try a new place but didn't have a big budget. Definitely got my money worth with the reasonably priced menu! Would recommend if looking for a good Italian meal.

Some great things and a not so good thing.It's a nice place that is very attractive . Everyone was very nice there as well . We shared a salad that was very large in size. The problem was the salad was not washed before they made it. It would have been a very good salad, but was totally inedible. We had two pastas that were very very good . The carbonara fettuccine Alfredo was outstanding! My wife enjoyed hers as well. The waitress was very good. enjoyed the wine and cocktail is well. She was attentive helpful. We enjoyed our meals and our time one mistake did not ruined our experience. We will be back.

My friend and I came here on a Sunday night. There was no wait and we were seated right away. We were offered drink menus, but we had to decline since we were underage. We were waited on for our drinks, but my friend waited a while for her coke and had to remind our waitress to bring it. The bread was in the oven when we were seated so we were unable to get bread until about 15 minutes into our dinner, and after our meals arrived. I got the poppy pizza and my friend ordered the penne pink alfredo. The meals came warm and were very good. When the bread and oil got delivered, my friend tried to pick up the bowl of oil and it slipped right out of her hands. It came too slippery with the oil on the outside. However, it was very good and was worth it. Our checks were brought right away and besides the coke and bread we had a great time. I would recommend Arturo Joes to anyone who likes Italian food.
