The best authentic Mexican food I’ve had! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and tasted just like homemade. You can truly tell they put love and tradition into their food. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back and 100% recommend this spot if you’re craving real, authentic Mexican food!

My husband and I make it a goal to try out a new Mexican restaurant every time we are craving it and came across this one while searching online. We live in Airway Heights and so decided to take the trip to Cheney and I'm so glad we did! The food was so delicious and was made and brought to our table so fast! The portion size of the food was huge too! Prices weren't too bad either! I was very impressed! Everyone was so kind and friendly! We will definitely be returning❤️❤️❤️ Thank you guys for a wonderful and delicious experience!

By the Gods this is some tasty Mexican food! My daughter and I came in today for the first time and order dinner very nice and welcoming the girl who helped us is super friendly and gave my daughter and some chips and salsa and bean dip while we waited and then a glass of water..thank you very much good prices and the Barbacoa was so good. .so good thank you again we will be back

Small hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant. This place was definitely hyped up and didn’t match up with our expectations. The food wasn’t horrible but wasn’t as great as the other reviews suggested. There wasn’t a whole lot of room to sit comfortably. The server was kind and friendly, the salsa tasted like watered-down tomatoes and I wasn’t a huge fan of the beans. The chicken was seasoned well and everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves.

Excellent, fresh Mex. Actually has flavor. What I mean by that is, most Mex places in the Spokane metro area cater to your great-grandma's palate--or your toddler's. This wonderful family has been part of our Cheney community for nearly 20 years, and deservedly has our appreciation for their comida delicioso. It's not a big place, and has an open-style kitchen area. In that regard, it can get a bit hazy with cooking aromas and such. To me, though, that just adds to the charm. Great little joint...

The food is excellent! It's a hole-in-the-wall type place with amazing service and food! I had the fish tacos, and I was surprised at how good they were!

I got the Tacos Ranchero Mexican, and it is my favorite. The flavor of the meat is chefs kiss. My BF always gets the Carne Asada plate, and he loves it. Even craves it! This is one of our favorite places that we have to eat at least once a month if not more! Also, they make big party platters that look awesome.

Our visit was amazing. Even though it was later, the place was packed. The hostess kept great communication with us and we were seated in less than the time she quoted. The staff were hopping getting things out timely, and they had a lot of door dash orders to go through too. The hostess was very kind and we appreciated her service! My daughter now lives in Cheney and her and her roommate will be back for sure!

Great place to eat, good food and great prices , great for a college student, my burrito feeds me twice when I get it

I'm just staying the night at the Holiday Inn Express. I've been traveling for two days from Nashville to go to a graduation at WSU and this place was only a 5 minute drive. Of course I got on Yelp and checked out the reviews and pictures. I came with two friends from Olympia and we all enjoyed our meals. I ordered the (2) combination with Chalupa and chimichanga with ground beef. I also got it deluxe w/sour cream and guacamole. It was very good. Our server was sweet and rushed to clean off a table for us. The food was delivered fast and hot. It was too much food for me and I could've been fine with just the chimichanga. It's located in a small strip mall and there's not a lot of seating and they were busy. No alcoholic beverages here. If I lived close by, I'd go back.

I give Arturo five stars because it is truly a wonderful blessing to meet such a wonderful human who is cooking your food and producing a very high-quality yummy food that is different than everybody else. It's not the same thing you get everywhere else on any level he handles his foodfast smoothly and the service is incredible but the food is really really excellent. I truly enjoy eating there.

Just a hole in the wall joint... not at all fancy, BUT it was damn good. The gal serving us was magnificent, she seemed to be enjoying herself. I had the pollo campesinos, or something close to that, which was on special. It was tasty and came with 4 tortillas. My friend had the burrito that was also on special and was also very good, and BIG. He took 1/3 of it home. Basket of chips and some salsa when you are seated. A great lunch. And the place was fullup by the time we left at 12:30. The locals KNOW!

Arturo 's is the BEST Mexican food in the area. We live in Cheney so it's convenient for us. I've tried numerous of their menue items and enjoyed all of them. If I lived in Spokane, it would be worth the drive to Arturo's. Pleasant Mexican decor, with good service. They also do catered service to go, at reasonable prices. If you haven't already, go check them out & enjoy!

Ordered the chicken taquito appetizer for the very first time and a side of the cheese dip with chorizo to go. The appetizer came with a flavorful sauce. To my delight, the cheese dip with chorizo was spicy and so tasty and I slavered this on the appetizer as well. I was aware that it was their peak dinner time and I was warned about a half hour wait which I gladly accepted and it was ready then!

Reviews were what got us tot his place but it was mediocre food with subpar service, I'm a foodie and wasn't impressed at all

Outstanding in all areas. Great people working there. Great food!! Service exceeds most others. The place is a bit tired, but don't let that slow you down. Try the tacos de barbacoa. Best Mexican food I've ever had. The quantity of food is well above average. The price was so low, I thought a mistake had been made. It's in a strip mall, but I don't care if it was in a walk in clinic...I'd still recommend it and eat there again.

Dropped by Cheney on a road trip to pick up some Mexican food at what we thought was a newly opened restaurant that already has a place on Hamilton in Spokane. We discovered we'd have to wait a couple weeks for that one to open. Arturo's was our reward for not checking first. We noticed the very good reviews on this platform and decided to give them a try. This is what I would classify as a hole in the wall gem. It is pretty dated inside, but that's not what matters. Service and quality of food always win out and here that is exactly the case. These guys rocked the food and were very nice while feeding us. Chips of course come first and the salsa was excellent. I had an amazing burrito that was also massive and my wife enjoyed the Fundido's. I'm not sure I've ever heard her talk more about how good a dish was. Pricing is also decent in todays market. Yes, it is worth the trip from Spokane to visit this little gem in Cheney.

Too much flour? Not really sure but very bland flavors. Even the sauces seemed watered down? Not much of a risk taker on this flavor, perhaps it's no dice, no risk? Not really spicy, and not much for hot sauces. That's right Mexican without spice? Insides very odd, kitchen connected to dining area, which is more of a hallway.

My friend suggested we have lunch here and it was so good! We were seated and given menus right away with warm chips & yummy salsa. We each ordered the Chico #1. She had a tamale with rice and beans and I had a tostado with shredded beef and the rice and beans. The service was good and the food was freshly cooked and hot when we got it. You won't be disappointed.

My review is for take out. This place is a gem in Cheney for good Mexican food. I have gone there three times now. Their selection is great, I like the seasoned chicken they use and the seasoned thin cut beef is yummy. The staff was really helpful and nice, especially when adjusting our order to remove the delicious cilantro that approximately 10% of the world thinks tastes like soap, that includes my partner. I can't comment on the dine-in experience, but take out was great and I'd recommend this place.

First time in, found it driving by during a local visit. This place has awesome service, is clean, and Amazing food. I thought Mexican food was great town! The spices on my Burrito Mexicano and my wife's nachos were the best we have had in recent memory. I will definitely be returning on my way into Spokane.

Just tried this spot for a group lunch working on a photoshoot yesterday. Boss showed up with the biggest platter of all different kinds of tacos and the platter was GORGEOUS. I am telling you. I do not make it out to Cheney often but now I think I need to. There are some gems in the area. SO I am assuming he ordered a taco platter, and it came with beef, chicken, pork and some mixed tacos. I tried one of each because fueling on tacos is a must. The GUAC is heaven. Chunky and flavorful, just how I like it. I have no idea what the individual sauces were but those were authentic tasting and absolutely delish. We had about 15 people enjoying this platter and there were still some to take home. YUMS.

We have eaten here regularly since they were Corona Village. It's the same wonderful family. We ordered a big take out dinner, for a mid week break from cooking during covid time. It was as delicious as it is when we have a sit down meal there. I make a really good posole, but if I can order theirs I always do. I get enough bites of other family members meals lol. We love Arturo's.

Always a friendly counter person, the food is consistently good and you never have to wait.

I LOVE this restaurant. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town! So, it really sucks that I am writing this review but, I did not have a good experience here at all tonight. The lady that took our order was extremely rude. I come here often and have only seen her about two times, usually it's another young lady who is always so kind. Anyway, tonight I ordered "to go" as I usually do, and before leaving after I got my food I decided to check it to make sure I had everything and because my last couple visits they have forgot to pack my flour tortillas which is absolutely no big deal but, I just wanted to make sure I had everything this time. So I check my food and am elated to see my tortillas in there, but continue to go through it and see that I had half a plate of shredded lettuce along with my rice. I ordered the fajita sampler. That's my go to order and I have been ordering it as - no steak just shrimp and chicken, with the sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole on the side, no cheese and no beans just rice with flour tortillas. Well, last time I ordered this, I got half a plate of lettuce along with my rice. Instead of subbing out the beans for more rice, I got half a plate of shredded lettuce. It was a bit disappointing but I thought "no big deal I'll just make sure to ask for no lettuce next time". Well I also realized that I really don't even touch the sour cream or pico de gallo, so I also thought to myself "I'll ask for nothing but the rice and guacamole ON THE SIDE next time". I'm one of those people that hates when their different foods touch, so I'm very picky about certain things being on the side. Tonight, I ordered the fajita sampler - no steak just shrimp and chicken with nothing but the guacamole but specifically on the side. No sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce, or cheese. When I realized I had yet again another half plate of lettuce with the guacamole on top of it (so not on the side) with my rice. I took that to go plate to the counter and asked if I could get it on the side because I did specifically ask for it on the side. I wasn't rude, I was respectful about it - I asked nicely. I absolutely love this place, the food, and the cooks! They are so sweet and kind and always ask my friends and I how we're doing, I would never be rude to them over a mistake on my order. But for some reason, the blonde lady that took my order was right off the bat extremely rude. She took my plate and brought it back, and I noticed the lettuce was still there. I wasn't going to say anything about the lettuce, I thought she would take it out and put it in one of the little containers like the guacamole and it wouldn't be half a plate of shredded lettuce like it was but no... it was all still there. So I went up to the counter again and let her know that I actually asked for only the guacamole and nothing else. She proceeded to very condescendingly say that she specifically asked me if I wanted lettuce, I replied and said yes I recall, but I did say no, I only want the guacamole and I want it on the side. And she just kept repeating herself. She was very rude. She finally said "if you just want a thing of rice I can give you a thing of rice" I said "ok yes please can I have a plate of rice". I wasn't looking when she came back with it but my friend said that she might as well have thrown it at me because she sort of tossed it onto the counter and it almost slid off. So that's one thing that was extremely disappointing tonight. The second thing was my fajitas. I order this plate religiously. It's usually a good even mix of meat and vegetables, but tonight was probably 70% vegetables 30% meat. The main cook that usually makes our food wasn't there tonight so I wonder if this is why but ya the service was just overall very disappointing tonight!

10/10 would come here again and HIGHLY recommend. We visit Cheney to see our in laws and we tried this place out reading Yelp reviews. Holy crap this place is better than any Mexican food I've had in Seattle. Hands down the best food and friendly service. I got the burrito with steak and it was delicious. Come try it out if you're in the area. It will not disappoint.

While in town to visit my son he said we have to go to this little place in town for carne asada tacos. Glad we did! Staff was very friendly and big supporters of EWU. And the food was delicious and modestly priced. We will be back!

From the street style tacos to the Arturo's burrito, this place no matter what meal you pick you will be full. I go and often just get 1 or two street tacos and a drink for about $7 best tacos on this side of the state for sure.

Arturo's is a place my boyfriend and I always go to first when we're feeling hungry! The food NEVER disappoints and the cooks/ dishwashers are always trying there hardest to be quick even when it's busy. Everyone who works there is hardworking and kind! If I can recommend a dish, I'd say the Burrito Mexicano, it's so flavorful and has all the right ingredients! If you're thinking about going to Arturo's, you will NOT regret it :)

It doesn't look like much and if you can get past the noisey fan running, the walls with chipped paint and left over food partcles, it's good food, presented well.

I had driven past Arturo's several times and not noticed it. My wife asked me to bring a chicken quesadilla to her, and I ordered a chili rellano. Both were excellent, as was the salsa, and the guacamole. Both take out meals had a generous portion of the fried rice, and the chili rellano had a nice portion of the refried beans. The service was quite fast. I highly recommend Arturo's to anyone who likes Mexican food.

I've been coming to this restaurant since 2010 and it still is one of the top Mexican Restaurants I've ever been to. I always get the Chicken Campensino which is like a Smokey extra delicious version of pollo a la creama. It's delicious. The staff are very hardworking and kind. Love this place!

Such a great spot for a little town!! We are from Texas and have some pretty unbeatable Mexican food... but let me tell you!! This restaurant has most of ours BEAT - hands down!!! Great job guys!! They were swamped (for good reason) but were on top of their game and still made us feel welcome and important! I was a little skeptical of the mango enchiladas, but I am SO glad I tried them, they had a touch of sweetness in the sauce and the shedded chicken inside was perfect! My husband's beef enchiladas were seriously the best I've ever had! I'm generally not a huge fan of enchiladas, but these were phenomenal! Oh and we had the chorizo queso and that was perfect too!

Arturo's is small but mighty restaurant, you can order in or take out the best Mexican food. Staff was very fast and very friendly, if you are in Cheney Washington check this great place out.

Here's a little secret all Cheney residents know... We have fantastic Mex in this town. All three of them are noticeably different from each other, and we year-round residents win. Arturo's is mine and my wife's date night Mex joint on the West Plains. It is very intimate, from the limited seating, to the open kitchen where you see friendly caballeros making everything fresh. The fare here is most like what we've experienced in hotel stays in different parts of Mexico. Call that authentic? You can if you want. Good food is good food, and these guys provide a very nice experience with fabulous flavors. Our hostess was great tonite, and sweetly put up with my fractured Español with ordering and chatting with her. We have always loved this place...

Pretty decent Mexican food. Best of its kind here in Cheney in my opinion compared to the others. I always get the chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. Could never go wrong ordering that. Pretty good. I like the salsa and chips they give you with your order as well when you order to go so very nice of them to include that

Excellent overall. I typically prefer taco trucks but this place is the real deal. Family run and you can tell the moment you enter that they take care and pride in the place. A nice, modest little restaurant with good seating and easy parking in front. The food is outstanding. Excellent chorizo, excellent carne asada, excellent chips, salsa, tortillas, guacamole and horchata. One of the better horchatas I've ever had- including in Mexico. Everything was delicious and had tremendous flavor. Highly recommended. I will be back.

This was WAY BETTER than expected . I've lived in Texas and New Mexico and Arizona , worked for Garcias of Scottsdale . So I have a bit of experience eating Mexican food . WOW , this was just great . Best I have had in years . Atmosphere ? Clean Table , a view of the 'kitchen' , good food . I don't need pinatas or waitresses in Faux Mexican dress (uniforms). I don't even need a cervesa (beer not available) to enjoy food this good . Yelp, an online directory for food and businesses, is reportedly planning to "double match" employee contributions to pro-abortion groups opposing the new Texas Heartbeat Act, according to the Wall Street Journal. So go there , prices are pretty rasonable considering the quality and quantity of food . BTW the chips are obviously made in house and the salsa was just right .

Bigger than Chipotle burritos! Holy cow- if you are just going to eat one meal a day eat here! (College students!) I loved the grilled touch on the burrito tortilla as well as the refried bean dip brought with our chips and salsa. Great, prompt, friendly service and the chef even checked in on how everything was. I'll be back when I'm in Cheney for sure.

New to town and decided to try out some mexican food for dinner. I noticed there is a few options in the Cheney area but decided to go with Arturo's Mexican restaurant. The ambience was great! Felt right at home. The customer service was wonderful and even gave us recommendations on what to get! The tacos are where its at. If you want some good tacos, arturos is the place. Their enchiladas verdes were alright as well. But don't get me started on their Horchata, *Chefs kiss*! I recommend this place and will be back for more.
