Food is bland and salty. Ask 4x for napkins, received 1 Never came back to see if we were good nor how was the food 😔 It's overpriced for what you get.

We rode up to Prescott for the weekend and I was in the mood for some good Mexican. We looked at some reviews and pictures and decided on Auturo’s Mexican Restaurant. It is a cozy place with friendly fast service and the chips and salsa they brought to start was som of the best I’ve had. I really brother salsa, it was not overly hot and just has an excellent flavor. My wife ordered the Taco Salad and I had the cheese enchilada special. The rice and beans were both good and my enchilada was also really good. Her Taco salad was good too and had very tasty shredded beef. Overall an excellent place fork some tasty Mexican food.

Google
What a life saver! My husband and I were starving from driving for hours and randomly chose this place to stop and have lunch. As soon as we arrived they gave us chip and salsa, DELICIOUS! The food was delivered in less than 10 mins! Staff was super friendly. Fair price for the portions and service. Chimichanga and enchiladas recommended. We left with a full belly and ready to hit the road again.

Cyndi

Google
Totally disappointed! Shredded beef taco tasted old and stale. So did husband's ground beef taco. Green corn tamale was undercooked and mushy. We were so hungry too. Over priced too. Now we know.

Google
I've passed by here for years and finally stopped. I will go again! Salsa is amazing Green Chile burrito might be the best Prices are a tad high though Crispy taco solid I was disappointed with the albondigas soup

I used to go here when I lived in Prescott. I'm glad I found it again. Good service and the taco Tuesday deal was a great option.

Google
Our go to for dining. Food always good and affordable mmmmmmmm Camerone's de Theresa. Back again for our weekly visit awesome

Google
I thought this place was kind of expensive. However, my wife had a green corn tamale and I had a bean and cheese burrito beef taco. The food was delicious. And I stopped by McDonald's on the way home, their order was more expensive!!!

Diane N.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Chips were hot. Salsa was chunky and you could add extra hot sauce to that that they make homemade and food was amazing and Veronica was a great waitress. definitely would come back again.

Yelp
Went to Arturo's and ordered a burrito for 15.00 and I got a little burrito with a lot of lettuce and a little bit of meat No smiles on the waitress's

Yelp
What a great value Hispanic restaurant. The food is great and service as well. The prices are great value. I enjoy their chili rejeno are excellent. Actually all of their food is. PS. This where the Hispanic nurses and cnas go. The interior is good.

John Y.

Yelp
Had high expectations and didn't look at the reviews and dreaded that from the moment the salsa came. Very, very bland. We asked for something hotter and it was the same salsa, but blended with a teaspoon of red chili pods and had a weird sweet flavor. Ground beef taco was soaked with grease, and tasted as if the beef was very old on the verge of spoiling. The red beef burrito had a bland flavor I can't even describe what it tasted like. But the microwave red beef burrito you get gas stations, were way better than this. Beans and rice tasted like they been cooked a week ago and microwaved. Not sure where all these raving reviews are coming from. Del Taco blows these guys outta the water. Upon check out, the cashier asked "how was everything ?". I told her her "you don't want me to tell you! ". Absolutely horrible !

Yelp
Excellent food with good service. Large selection. Will enjoy their food again and again. Casual setting good for individuals or families.

Yelp
Arturo's Prescott I am so sad because I grew up eating here and loved it! We just went there tonight and had the absolute worst experience. The service was HORRIBLE. She was very clearly intoxicated and then didn't even ring in our ticket, and tried to just charge us a $10 pre tip and $10 tip on top of that to equal the amount our dinner would have been (basically stealing from the restaurant). She then cussed us out when we asked her about it. I can't even believe it because it used to be one of my favorite places the bartender that served us was named anita

Yelp
Very quaint place. Family owned and operated. Friendly service. Fresh warm tortilla chips and fresh salsa. Just a hint of spice but good flavor. Had the tacos since it is Taco Tuesday. One of each; ground beef, chicken and shredded beef. Taco shells are fresh fried and good amount of meat on the taco. All in all very tasty. And prices very reasonable. Will definitely go back to try the other things on the menu.
google avatar

Sabrina K.

Yelp
Definitely a nope from me. I came here years ago and swore I never would go back cause it was so not good. Came in today with the family because the cinco de mayo celebration seemed appealing. Nope. Food is a nope. Prices are a heck nope. I mean it this time when I say I will never come back.

Yelp
I'm sorry. I'm no food connoisseur-just a simple man born and raised in Southern California, who has eaten a lot of Mexican food in my 32 years of life. I'm just going to say it bluntly- the carne asada burrito is awful. And I'm one of the most easily impressed people I know when it comes to food. It was about the size of a frozen burrito or something that would be on the kids menu back in California. Here? $15. You want it wet? $3 up charge (that they DO NOT tell you about when they ask you if you want it wet, fyi). Yes, I paid $18 for a burrito that at most should cost $10 (if it was delicious). The tortilla was that consistency of tortillas that have been stored in the fridge for awhile. The meat was pretty tasty actually, but there was maybe only a small handful of it. The enchilada sauce was forgettable. And you know what else? They put lettuce INSIDE the burrito. What in the French toast?! As one man said in another review, the salsa was the only redeeming quality. The chips were warm too. I know for a fact the people that run this joint, who were decently nice to be fair, are not eating this quality of food at home. There is just no way. 1 star for the chips/salsa. 1 star for the adequate service. But BRUH, the burrito is minus 3 stars. It's truly the best I can do.
google avatar

Travis G.

Yelp
Great food! Great price! Great service! I wouldn't have come here based on the 3 star rating. Definitely deserves at least 4.5!
google avatar

Patty R.

Yelp
Service was very good. My problem was the quality of the food. My beef and chicken enchiladas had no flavor and I could barely taste the meat.
google avatar

Joseph R.

Yelp
Not a lot to look at and the food kept up with the same theme. Not bad food just not over the top or even close to it. Carna asada burrito was ok just like my wife's tostada everything seemed to be missing some flavor. Maybe it was salt and pepper but it all seemed very bland. The chips were by far the best thing we had. Just middle of the road.

Maise J.

Yelp
So disappointed in the lack of support for other local business. I went to Salt & Pepper this morning they had the whole lot was open I was told I couldn't park there. I could understand if they where open but they could support their neighbors while they are closed

Tracie W.

Yelp
Waitress was nice, salsa was very good. Ordered veggie fajitas- totally bland no seasoning not even salt!

Tammy F.

Yelp
We had a pick up food service of 200.00, the food was cold! The food items were not marked! Worst service ever! Now I remember why we stopped going there. Food was put into bags without identifying which orders were what! Items were left out! For that amount of money- it should have been great and THE FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE AND WE WILL NEVER ORDER FOR THE OFFICE FROM HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!
google avatar

Melinda C.

Yelp
The food is good! The location is good! The service is good! I think the whole vibe of this place would be completely different if the had music on. Right now, Saturday @ 3:30pm... f*ckin silent. And when I say music, I ONLY think it should be appropriate to the vibe. (Do not put on some top 40 bs or country) I.e. maybe some Tommy Gurerro, maybe some flamenco, possibly bosa nova... Spanish guitar maybe... I know Prescott people may not be able to handle straight up accordion mariachi, but comple silence, is a no go for the overall vibe of this place. The silence makes it weird. My only complaint. Hopefully management will read this, and I will change my review to 5 stars when you get the tunes figured out.

Yelp
Checked this spot out because a very knowledgeable realtor gave it high praise. I'm glad we did. Was a little awkward at first, waitstaff saw but didn't acknowledge us as we stood at the front for a bit, but once they came over the service was warm and accommodating. The waitress that took over after we were seated was exceptionally pleasant. Some people simply have the gift of amicability, and she has it in spades. We opted to split a chimichanga, which was a happy choice. Got the chicken, it was perfectly crisp to the point of being easy to cut lengthwise and the contents were nice and flavorful. I also was happy with the iced tea. Iced tea is easier to screw up than you'd think. Look forward to returning to explore more of the menu!

Yelp
Run don't walk to Arturo's Mexican Restaurant on Tuesdays for Taco Tuesday!! Get there early, it gets real busy by 4pm!!

Lori H.

Yelp
I love the small town feel of the Prescott location. Their chips and salsa are so good! We frequently buy a large container of salsa to take home with us. Every time we go I order the chili relleno which is superb. Food is always delicious and piping hot.
google avatar

Troy M.

Yelp
Quaint and nice. Food was good, portions were good. All in all a solid place. I will go back real soon.
google avatar

Michael B.

Yelp
Just love this place; they are consistently tasty and friendly. Fresh made salsa and chips!
google avatar

Debbie K.

Yelp
Delicious. Fresh salsa and chips. Spouse enjoyed lunch chicken enchilada. I enjoyed the lunch shredded beef mini chimichanga. Outstanding service. Thank for Arturo's.

Ron A.

Yelp
Went in tonight with a large group. Service was the worst I have ever experienced. You could not even get a refill on chips or salsa. Don't go there and they are so expensive.

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Not sure where to start.. food was meh at best and the service was horrible and the price was ridiculously high for what we got. Will not return

Yelp
Catering Review - Arturos worked with us to help identify the right amount and type of food to offer given our social club kitchen set-up. Not able to do tacos as only have warming trays now - no oven. However there was one more issue - we decided on tamale as one of the two menu choices and given the shipping issues no corn husks to make them so they kindly substituted another enchilada choice with green norteno sauce. Then they gave us gratis their fabulous mild salsa and their wonderfully delicate chips - yum!! I could hardly lift the trays they were so packed full of ingredients. We had 40 residents attend and EVERYONE wanted to know where it came from - they loved it!!! Thanks Arturos for your great catering food.

Jloonz P.

Yelp
Ordered a burrito and it was dry as hell not even a side of beans or rice way over priced didn't ask if I wanted it wet or anything waitress wasn't very pleasurable to deal with not worth it

Aidan M.

Yelp
Friendly service, the food was below average. My carne asada had 5 little pieces of beef in it for almost 15 dollars. It was just a burrito and a place. It looked boring and the tasted even more depressing. Definitely I don't want to go back again.

W P.

Yelp
The food is bland and expensive! The tiny size guacamole is $3.89. Northern Arizona just doesn't have any good Mexican food. Go to fiesta Burrito in old town Scottsdale. Excellent food and for a very good price!

Rita B.

Yelp
The taco's are ok & margaritas watered down. They offer a basket of chips for a table of two but if you are a table of 9, you will only be offered 2 baskets of chips. If you ask for an additional basket there is a charge which is pretty unfair. The manager likes to mention she's the manager (although she is waiting tables) but does nothing to offer a fair amount of chips & salsa for the amount at the table & blames the owner for her indifference.

Yelp
This place is so good! We haven't been able to find a delicious Mexican restaurant in Prescott since moving from Phoenix... until now! I ordered a Cheese Enchiladas and a Tostada with rice and beans and it was all really good. The best refried beans I have ever had and that's saying a lot! The tostada came on a separate plate (I typically ask for this and forgot, but they do it anyway) and had a super crispy shell. Very good, cheesy enchilada too. My wife had a chicken chimichanga and loved it too. The food came out quickly and our server was friendly. There are just a few reasons for the four stars. The salsa is pretty basic, I like more heat and there is none. We had to wait probably five minutes or more to get our check once we were done and there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time. Not a huge deal, but still something they should be aware of. When we drive by at peak times the parking lot is packed so we aren't the only ones who enjoy this place!
google avatar

Delaney W.

Yelp
Delicious. Very authentic Mexican food. Good cheese crisps and superb enchilada sauce.

Ron A.

Yelp
We have been going here for years. Unfortunately they have raised their prices to the point we cannot continue to eat here. Service has been slower and with higher prices you ran us off.

Debbie J.

Yelp
The food is great but I probably will not go back. They up charge for EVERYTHING! I like to get their green chili burrito with easy cheese. They wanted an additional $2 for easy cheese inside. Come on! They even charge for Picco de Gallo. It's very costly.
google avatar

Phyllis H.

Yelp
Busy restuarant with free parking and usual fare with home cooking flavor. My experience was good, and plan to return.

Rich T.

Yelp
We ate here a while back and were disappointed We decided to try again and came away with the same impression. Food kinda OK but very salty ( much netter places in town) , Service was marginal. The cost was high for the quality and amount of food you got NOT Authentic mexican food. Just very bland
google avatar

Roddy B.

Yelp
Love to come here for Taco Tuesday. All the choices are good, except the ground beef. For some reason they serve those in store bought shells and not the house-made ones. Servers confirm that is how they do it and can't explain why. (what???) You can also get good happy hour prices. Be warned, it is tough to get a seat around 5PM, even if you are willing to sit at the bar. The place is usually packed with bluehairs. Kinda makes you wonder about the validity of a 3-STAR overall rating. - I you feel this review is Useful, Funny, or Cool, please check the boxes below. Thanks

Gloria A.

Yelp
We have always really liked this restaurant but the last two times we went it has been horrible last time. The lady charged is double and we didn't notice till we had left our bill for a burrito a taco and a side of beans and rice was $63 and it should've been around 27 and we didn't notice till we left so she gave herself a $30 tip And this time we went yesterday and the beans were dry. The service was horrible. They argued with us when we got the wrong food. We ordered a green burrito and they brought us a red burrito and they argued about it and then later she said oh I'm sorry I thought you were right you did order a green burrito And they argued about that and they did not take it off of the check so we still had to pay for the wrong thing that was delivered. It's a horrible place to eat now it used to be a really good place but now their service is bad the food is bad and they bring you the wrong stuff and won't admit to it . You need to think twice about going there. I do not recommend it.

Yelp
Best Mexican Food I have ever had. I found Arturo's 10 years ago when we moved to Chino Valley. They were always our first choice for Mexican food the entire 8 years we lived in Chino/PV/Prescott. Now we live elsewhere but ALWAYS visit Arturo's when we are in Prescott. Our favorite is a machaca beef burro enchilada style - tasty machaca beef (shredded beef with onions and bell pepper) and the best red enchilada sauce I have ever had (I was born and raised in Phoenix). The salsa is crave worthy as well. The chips are on the thinner side. What more could you want? The food is consistent at all their locations and has been for at least 8 years.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Still great local place for local folks. Tasty food. Great value for money. Never disappointed. We continue to return frequently. Not fancy but authentic and good.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
This was our second visit and it was totally different from the service to the food. After paying $ 58.00+ for two people the cheese crisp was cold and half cooked, the salsa had no flavor, the chips were warm but never offered a refill and never offered refills on our sodas.
google avatar

Hope M.

Yelp
Always good in service and in food. Very warm atmosphere with home style cooking. Salsa is tasty, chips fresh and hot, salads fresh and even if your vegetarian you won't be disappointed. No matter what time of day or evening, whenever I get the craving for some tasty mexican food we're always pleased.

Yelp
First time at Arturo's. Walking in the door, the restaurant was simply decorated yet seemed clean and had a good smell. This joint has been in business for 22 years and we had expectations of a good Mexican dinner. My wife ordered the fish tacos. Normally you would expect a good sized piece of grilled fish in the taco. The two tacos arrived and each had three micro pieces of fish that were about 1/2" cubes and lots of cooked salsa filler. This cost $15 and was a huge disappointment. Even if offered at $5 it's not worth the money. Anyone rating this place more than 3 Stars doesn't know good Mexican food. Half way through the dinner, I asked for a second XX draft. After a good amount of waiting, I flagged down the waitress and said, "About 10 minutes ago I asked for another beer." How did she respond? "I only have two hands!" Really? What a rude and over the top response. I've never had a server act with such arrogant attitude!!! To top everything off, their only credit card reader was broken and I had no cash. As a result, I had to drive back there the next day to pay. This was probably one of the worst experiences that I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Needless to say, I won't be going back to Arturo's.
google avatar

Lucas C.

Yelp
Really, In Arizona, this is what you call authentic I don't understand all the 5-star ratings maybe they cook just for the old visitors that come to town that don't like spice,We ordered the cheese enchiladas you think it would be the first thing any Mexican food restaurant would know how to make but Nope we got fresh out of the package tortilla with cheese rolled in and not even cook the tortillas were still hard and it was bland also ordered the carnitas MY GOD if your going to charge $14 learn what authentic Mexican Carnitas are and how to cook them also if you want good salsa this is not the place to go, Thanks for the Prescott experience I was toatlly disapointed but.I'll give them an out Maybe it was just a bad day and the cook was on vacation

Morgen H.

Yelp
This is a warning for everyone do not eat at this restaurant I don't know what they're doing to the guacamole that but made me violently ill stay away please this restaurant should be shut down
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
This is a very average Mexican restaurant. I stopped in for lunch and was greeted and seated promptly. I ordered my usual.. chile relleno, cheese enchilada and rice. The service was extremely fast. I had my food in minutes. Everything was decent, but the portions were a little small for the price. There is better Mexican food to choose from in my opinion.
google avatar

Tom V.

Yelp
Yuck. Both items had way too much salt, and I tolerate more salt than most people. The smothered burrito was smothered with what reminded me of frozen chicken pot pie but with less flavor. Everything else was just salt salt salt. Ingredients were obviously chosen because they were dirt cheap. Only go to this place if you're really hungry and it's your only choice.
google avatar

Sandra B.

Yelp
Happened to go on Taco Tuesday. $3.00 per Taco all day. Had one ground beef and one chicken taco. They were tasteless, except for the very old cooking oil that coated my mouth until I got home. Waitress slammed things down on our table and then disappeared. Parking lot looked full, but it's small. The restaurant was not full. One great thing -The Guacamole was excellent.

Steph S.

Yelp
Friendly service and really good bean tostadas! Their Blue Margs are delicious and were in special for $4.25! Glad we stopped here. Just what we needed on our long drive.
google avatar

Jordan P.

Yelp
I cannot stress how mediocre this Mexican food is. The service is great the cooks are clearly very afraid of spices. I ordered the enchiladas. The waitress pronounced them ench-il-attas. Just an interesting side note I guess. The chips clearly come straight out of a bag. And the salsa lacks any kick at all. The food is the most bland mush you've ever had. Being in az you would think that you could find good Mexican food. But you thought wrong. I've been to every single place in the area and trust me when I say "Drive to Phoenix". Mexican is my favorite food to eat and I only eat it when visiting home in SoCal or down in Phoenix. Don't be fooled by these reviews. if you've had actual Mexican food you will hate this place and every other one in prescott
