A fun place for watching quirky local shows or established artists "slumming it" for intimate gigs. There's usually a great selection of wines and beers on offer and the programme shifts often enough to keep you coming back.

Fantastic community theatre with a professional vibe, but quirky. Fantastic stage to perform on as a cast member of The Waiheke Comedy Show

Intimate theatre in the heart of oneroa, Waiheke. Great acoustics for the Tom Waits Tribute band. We came a little late so had to mix it up with the crowd right up by the stage. Awesome. Managed to squeeze in a couple of beers from the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hope to see you soon 🔜.

I did a stand up gig here a number of months ago. It's a cool little theater with a great vib. That night the locals came out in force and I suspect that happens a lot. Certainly made easier by what the put on through out the year. The toilets are clean (that's important) The food and bar staff friendly. There a couple of foods places close for those eating on the run but it's pretty popular so there can be a long wait (as advised by the locals) I like the place that's for sure.

The shows they put on at Artworks theatre are of a very high standard. But the building itself is a converted Mitre 10 wood store which the community valiantly try to maintain with inadequate funding from the Auckland Council. You'll still love the shows though. I've performed there at least a hundred times

What a lovely little theatre. Charming! Great sound & lighting.
Saw 'Art', artfully (😄) directed by Lucinda Peterken, starring Kim Whitaker, Alastair Babbage & Richard Bull. Highlight for me was Alastair's (aka Yvan) monologue.
Hilarious show. So glad to have visited Waiheke in time to see it!
