"First domesticated on this tiny island in 1840, the aloe plant is so important to Aruba that its image is emblazoned on the nation’s crest. Crops once extended over nearly two-thirds of the island and, to this day, remain Aruba ’s largest export, explaining why the plant is a frequent motif in local art and architecture. For more information, visit the Aruba Aloe Factory, where you take a guided tour and learn about the manufacturing process. Then, head to the museum to browse a small collection of ancient aloe planting tools as well as books on the plant and its history."

Small but cute place and the tour was free. Gives some history and you’ll learn some thing’s. The guy giving the tour had an attitude when I approached him to ask about the tour. He then gave a great explanation and was upbeat during the tour. You get to go upstairs and see the workers. It’s interesting. Of course you shop and they have special deals. The bathroom was clean.

I wanted to stop, but I wasn't sure if my boys (20 & 11) would enjoy it. We all found it enjoyable, and we're excited to pick k something out in the gift shop to take home. Our tour guide was energetic & very knowledgeable.

I had a good time learning here. They have products for sale. I got bar soaps with my kids that everyone was happy with. The learning experience part of the visit was very interesting.

Very interesting history it took me back to teaching 6th grade social studies and how we had the kids pick islands and did research on everything from their history to their economy. I thought about this as I reflected on this tour.

The tour was awesome! We learned a lot about the benefits of aloe. Also, the sun is super strong in Aruba and I highly recommend you pick up a bottle or two of their sunscreen. It works better than anything we brought!

Keyon was our Aloe guide and for only a year of doing tours, he was amazing! He was filled with so much knowledge and had the energy that I look for when someone is in charge of teaching or guiding me. I learned so much about aloe and some of its uses that I HAD NO IDEA!! I bought the soap and a candle and will be ordering more from the online site. This was a very good experience and I'd definitely suggest this to anyone who loves nature!!

The guided tour was about 25 minutes. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable, and had a great sense of humor! Tour was free with tip option. There was a gift store with products made at the factory.
