"Nestled on the beach in the small town of Savaneta, Aruba Ocean Villas is home to the island’s only over-water bungalows, the most camera-ready of which is the Isla Alistaire. A favorite of Instagram influencers, it offers gorgeous sunset views and a hammock strung over a cut-out in the broad wooden deck so guests can sway over the water. Should you not have the budget for an over-water room, there are also a variety of waterfront and bungalow-style accommodations available, some with direct access to the sand. Additional amenities at the hotel include a popular seafood restaurant, spa services, and complimentary use of watersports equipment like snorkels and paddleboards. If you’re staying for more than three nights, be sure to ask the concierge for a private photographic island tour."

Absolutely stunning Villas. We stayed in the Jon Jon. Definitely a bucket list environment of pure beauty. The service was top notch. They all went above and beyond to make us feel very special. The food was amazing as well. My only regret was not staying longer. Can’t wait to book it again. They have an employee name Carlos. He took us out for a day on the UTV’s. He felt like family the entire time. The entire staff was that way as well.

I just spent five nights at Aruba Ocean Villas and honestly, it was one of the most magical travel experiences I’ve ever had. The place feels like a secret—tucked away in quiet Savaneta, right on the water, and totally unlike anything else on the island. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like I was home. Everyone was warm, attentive, and remembered the little things that made each day easier and more relaxing. The villa itself was stunning—open-air, right over the ocean, with a deck where I could literally dip my toes in the water from my room. I’d wake up to the sound of waves, eat breakfast delivered right to my deck, and just breathe. No TV, no noise, just peace. The vibe is super romantic and low-key in the best way. Every sunset felt like a private show. And the food? Incredible. “The Old Man and the Sea” is not just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Fresh, flavorful dishes with the ocean at your feet and string lights twinkling overhead. Even the cocktails were great. It’s rare to find a place that blends nature, comfort, and such a welcoming atmosphere so seamlessly, but this one nails it. I came back feeling lighter, calmer, and honestly already thinking about when I can go back.

We had dinner at The Old Man and the Sea It was delicious and wonderful service. The atmosphere is amazing! Candles, windy walk ways through the tropical trees , piano, cool bar with great drinks, we will be back and hope to stay at the villas!

We stayed here on our honeymoon! They were TOTALLY fantastic. From the moment we walked in they were so so accommodating and lovely. The rooms were also so nice and beautiful, you get meals delivered to your room and cleaned up as well so you can fully enjoy your time there. The staff is all so nice and friendly too! It's 100% worth the price that it is and I would say this is better than a super long flight to Bora Bora! You get the same beautiful vibes. I really cannot say enough good things about it!

We stayed here for our honeymoon! We chose the Orequida Villa. The grounds are beautiful and the complimentary breakfast was great! We enjoyed everything thing about this resort. Pros of the Orequida villa: -Private day bed on the beach -pretty much your own little beach -hot tub is so nice -the bed has a great ocean view -easy access to the bar -complimentary breakfast delivered to your room -the bartenders are amazing cons: -no lock on the back door, it’s literally a sliding glass door with curtains -not a lot of privacy on the back porch (When we were in the hot tub, people would walk by during dinner time to go their tables and it just kinda makes it less private) -they would not bring us new towels when we needed them, after we asked a couple times, it took them hours or even a day to bring us towels Overall we loved this place but I wish we knew some of these things before hand. This resort is very quiet and chill and romantic. We loved it!

We stayed at the Sunset Villa owners' estate and it was the most incredible vacation!!!! The villa is huge and has everything you could possibly need. We received daily room servicing and our cleaning person did an amazing job each day. The water that the villa sits on is gorgeous. We opted to skip the beach one day and spend the whole day swimming at the villa because it was so beautiful. 10/10 reccomend to anyone looking to feel like they're in the Maldives for a fraciton of the price. The staff is so friendly and accomodating as well. Truly can't say enough good things about this place.

Very warm and welcoming service in an overly priced horrible location, with a joke for a beach it sits on. Sorry for being blunt. Here’s more about our stay: The entry door will hurt someone if over 5’11”. You need to step OVER the walkway while ducking UNDER the wood entry decor simultaneously (where my 6’ tall husband banged his head so hard it started to bleed). Needless to say, handicap accessible isn’t even close. The number of trip and stepping hazards is insane. Always watch where you’re going. Even on the drive in, the amount of major holes that need to be leveled is unreal. Resulting in enormous mud piles you need to drive and walk around. The shower doesn’t get hot. Ever. The so called private beach is a joke. No one would ever want to dip their toe in this murky mess. But now explains why there are so many mosquitoes!! The amount of mosquitoes!!!! From Tuesday night to Saturday morning, I have over 40 bites on me (including my face!) and I have lathered the bug spray on me constantly. I went through 2 tubes of anti itch gel - which doesn’t seem to work for these blood sucking creatures. The largest cock roaches I’ve ever seen in my entire life, came strolling through our “open air living” space - more than once. So gross!! They are definitely well fed here. Wifi sucks. Got better connection at random restaurants during our trip. This location is so far from anything and everything. We had to travel 14km to get anywhere. The sounds within the bedroom are non stop from leaves hitting the roof to what sounds like animals trying to get in while we are trying to sleep. Plus the bar location. The bar is located so close that we could hear all the music and conversations which made falling asleep difficult. When we tried to see if another room available (it wasn’t), we were told the live music stops at 10. It wasn’t the live music that was a problem. Have to request for housekeeping services and towels refreshed - they are pleasant when responding but was surprised so much had to be requested. Including pick up of our room service dishes from the night prior. For what they charge especially given their location, I’d expect much better amenities and food quality. Breakfasts tasted like premade microwaveable dishes. We won’t return but do hope they read these reviews and implement positive changes over time. I almost forgot, the room has no real curtains!! Only sheer panels that are see through if you have any lights on at night. Set right next to the bar. When we mentioned concern about this, the response was “everyone is discreet here”. What? So disappointed in our overall stay. The people who work here however, are incredibly nice.

We had a wonderful experience. Spent 4 nights in Joy. Swam every day, the water is beautiful and clear. Very relaxing and romantic place, and beautifully built and decorated. Staff is wonderful. Only drawback is there is no place to go for long walk on the beach or outside the gate. We went to Baby Beach one day for swimming but beach was crowded and we quickly hurried back to the more peaceful environment AOV offers!
