Arundel Wharf - Seafood - Cocktail Bar - Craft Beer

We had a fantastic experience . My wife had the giant Maine Lobster. My wife was overwhelmed and our waitress took her time and showed her how to eat the lobster. We highly recommend this restaurant and its fantastic service and great views.

We stopped in for lunch and are so glad we did! We sat in the covered seating area and it was fantastic...breezy and cool. For lunch we had the lobster stew and a specialty salad which were both delicious. The server was so pleasant and helpful. I would definitely return if I was in the area.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. I had the stuffed haddock, my husband had the fish & chips, and we finished it off with the blueberry pie. It was all delicious! We especially loved the stuffed haddock and pie. It was a beautiful spot and a great way to end our honeymoon in Kennebunkport! Only complaint is the chairs were pretty small and not super comfortable. Someone plus sized might not be able to fit in them.

Great seafood dinner spot! We had the lobster roll and fish and chips and for dessert, we had the lava cake. All were delicious 😋 The staff and atmosphere were lovely as well!

Stopped here in searching of fresh Maine blueberry pie for dessert after finding Allison’s inexplicably closed during posted business hours and the pilot house having no pie. The atmosphere was heads and tails better than either of those, the waitresses kind and efficient, and most importantly the blueberry pie ala more warm and delicious. A glance at the menu and after the great experience I can’t wait to come back for dinner.

It was our first visit here. The views were spectacular and the food was even better! The service was excellent as well! I had Mediterranean Shrimp Scampi and my boyfriend had baked haddock with lobster and crab sauce. I also enjoyed a blueberry martini and for an appetizer we had fried calamari. For dessert, I had the maine blueberry pie ala mode which was absolutely delicious! We were there before 5:30 p.m. and didn't have to wait for a table so I would suggest going early before the dinner crowd after 6:00 p.m. We would definitely go back and highly recommend! 👍

We had a nice lunch here on a Friday afternoon. We sat outdoors which was lovely on a nice day. I had the BLT and my husband had the steamers and the sashimi tuna. My BLT was very good but the fries weren’t crispy, they were a bit mushy and bland. The steamers were fantastic, so fresh and delicious. The asian noodles were very good that came with the tuna but the tuna was just ok, under seasoned and ho hum for a dish that we normally adore. The service was excellent. The prices were absurdly high, my BLT with avocado was almost $20! All in our rather modest lunch was almost $100. Parking here is exceedingly challenging.

As a local, I do enjoy going to the Arundel Wharf to meet with friends for dinner. You can't beat the location and they have tons of seating. The service is not always consistent, however, we come to this restaurant to enjoy ourselves and enjoy the view so I don't find that to be a big deal. The bar is a decent size and it is a nice place to relax and/or wait for a table. Bartenders are efficient and very communicative. That being said, I find the food to be average, especially for the price point. Their salads and small plates are very well done, but I find the other dishes to be mid. Like I said, I come here for the views and drinks. I would recommend this place to be a stop on a bar hop through dock square, but would save your true meal for a different restaurant.

Amazing service, food, and reasonable prices especially for what you get. The parking is a little tricky but no big deal just get dropped off and you are good to go. Hours can be odd so always call to make sure.

So... we were told to get Maine Lobster in Maine... OK. Got lobster, $50, meager portion. I get food prices are going up. Ok... Sure... Mussels were great, beer selection was OK and overpriced ($10 for an Allagash White?). The mussels alone saved the rating. The fries were also bomb.

We were in the area on vacation and chose this restaurant at random for dinner. My wife had steamed clams which were delicious, very fresh, and plentiful. I, not being a seafood guy had a wonderful hamburger and fries. The restaurant overlooks a harbor and the view of the boats is quite peaceful. The service was outstanding - prompt, informative, and friendly. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area!

We went here hoping for a great meal with amazing ambience. We arrived right at 6 and were told a 35 - 45 minute wait. After an hour I asked and was told we were next and it was still another half hour before we were seated. We were a party of 5 so not a huge group. We had drinks from the bar while waiting and the server was good. She was fast and was slinging drinks. The drinks were good not great but on par for the cost. Our meal took much longer than expected as well. Maybe an hour after we ordered to be delivered. Our apps, clam chowder very good, lobster stew was good, muscles were also very good. Our meals - baked haddock - meh at best. It was so over cooked it was hard like a rock on the entire edge. The mediterranean pasta was made at best. The lobster pasta was not very good and the lobster was extremely watered down. There are lots of other options in the area and I'd recommend those over this one.

Food was fantastic. I had the lobster stuffed avocado and it was the perfect size plate. Definitely try the crab Rangoon dip it was great!! Service was excellent and sitting under the tent was the way to go!!

Great find! We both ordered daily specials and sat outside. Beautiful view, great service and absolutely delicious food. What else could you want?!

Quaint place to have a bite to eat. The service good & the scenery gorgeous. We had ordered a clams dinner and a fish dinner. Hubby had said the clam chowder and clams dinner - "good"! I had the fish dinner. The taste of the fish had been very fresh and the coleslaw tasty. With the food, one beer, and a margarita the bill had been $115.00. Wow. The clams had been $44.00. See the photo. Not enough clams for that kind of money. Well, we don't plan on coming back this way. So, will chalk it up to being a part of the adventure! Nice place.

This casual, waterside restaurant is currently celebrating its 50th year of operation and inexplicably this was our first time dining there. My wife chose crab stuffed haddock as an entree that was accompanied by mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes. I chose Mediterranean shrimp scampi that included spinach, sundried tomatoes, kalamata olives, capers and feta over pasta. All but the accompanying dinner rolls warranted a return visit to celebrate year 51.

Went for dinner at the Arundel Wharf Restaurant in a busy weekend night. We sat inside under the tent. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly. It was very busy. I got the stuffed haddock which was disappointing because it was just a lot of bread crumbs. My husband got the fish and chips which were not great. My daughter got a seafood pasta dish that was delicious!

Don't go here with a dog and/or take their advice. The lady was a bit snooty and says go down 2/10 mi to another restaurant, they ALWAYS take dogs! Just walk. It was a mile down and that restaurant was fantastic! Don't go here

Food was great blueberry pie , seafood risotto, steamers, chowder, fish and chips . All great , sat at the bar good drinks . The bartender could have been more friendly!

Great seat by the window overlooking the harbor . Staff was very personable and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and fairly reasonable. The drinks were exceptional!

Great location and friendly service along with tasty food! First the location is amazing. It was hot as heck so we asked to sit inside and were seated along the river windows. Our server was prompt and got our drinks quickly. We ordered the crab Rangoon dip - tasty but nothing to write home about. I ordered the lobster roll with sweet potato fries. The lobster roll came with a generous amount of fresh lightly seasoned meat and the sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy. My husband ordered a baked haddock with mashed potatoes and green beans. He really enjoyed it however, his wife stole all his green beans because they were amazing!

Today (06/21) I attended This restaurant. We got our food and drinks, the waitress was very pushy and passive aggressive as soon as we finished eating, would come and grab a water cup (trying to force us to leave). Eventually after an hour (keep in mind there is no line outside and plenty of empty tables) a woman who seems to be the manager came and asked us to leave as they "had people waiting for an hour". I'm so shocked that this is okay behavior. Will not be returning here ever again.

I tried the grilled salmon BLT today. It was delicious. Our server, Delaney was excellent. The atmosphere on the river is lovely even on a rainy day.

On the last night of our vacation my wife and I decided to go to Arundel Wharf for dinner. It was a little chilly but we asked to be seated on the patio, cause who doesn't want to be seated on the patio. The first rather strange thing was we were served water out of disposable plastic cups and everyone else around us had regular plastic cups. It didn't really bother me but it bothered my wife. We ordered the crab ragoon dip as an appetizer since I love crab ragoons. When it came out it looked amazing but it was not great. It just tasted like a warm cream cheese dip with a sweet chili added to it. No crab to be found at all. My wife got salmon and I got the filet. The filet was ok, lacked flavor. She said her salmon seemed somewhat raw in the middle. Very disappointing for our last meal in kennebunkport. On top of that it was the most expensive meal we had with no lobster at all. Very disappointing!!!

Beautiful ambience outside for lunch! Service was good. BUT... Clam chowder was lukewarm warm, thin and not very good. Fried clams on the fried clam plate were small and sandy. They were also cold, as were the french fries - as if they'd been sitting for a while prior to serving. Portion was very small compared to same dish on an adjacent table.

Food and drink were very good. Service was decent. Ambience is always nice. Ordered a whole belly fried clam dinner to split. Menu said market price, we neglected to ask the price... received bill.... 56.00 for 10 ounces of fried clams and a handful of fries with a small serving of Cole slaw. Thought that price was pretty steep.

Wanted to sit outside on this warm October day and were glad we caught this place on their last day being open for the season. We asked for a place in the sun and were given a table with an amazing view awash with sun. Jesse, our server, greeted us pleasantly and set us up with drinks while we looked at the menu. A few GF options, some good salads, sandwiches and plenty of seafood. My companions decided on the Cobb salad with salmon ($12 up charge) and the Mediterranean wrap which was served with kettle chips. I ordered the tuna sashimi with sesame noodles. Salad - tasty and filling but light on salmon for the $12 up charge. Sandwich was yummy and they remembered the request to hold the onions. The tuna looked beautiful and was perfectly seared, but unfortunately the tuna was not fresh and I had to send it back. I got a bowl of chowder instead and it was fresh but a bit heavy on the celery for my tastes. The service was excellent and the view divine. The server also took off the charge for the tuna, and even the chowder too. A lovely afternoon with friends in a great setting. Only wish my food had been as divine...

Stopped here on a roadtrip and this place had a really cute view of the water. The service was a bit slow here in terms of both food and our wait staff. I got the fried haddock sandwich which was okay. I liked the seasoning on the breading but it needed a bit more (and the fish itself was pretty meh). The french fries did need more seasoning. However, I did try my friends mussels and loved the sauce they were in.

After escaping the congested Saturday afternoon downtown Kennebunkport streets, we discovered this hidden gem just off the main drag. We were promptly seated at our chosen table with a charming port view. Our smiling server, Ally, was professional and attentive as she took our orders. My wife chose a blackened haddock wrap special, opting for it baked instead of blackened, while I selected a 1.5 lb steamed lobster. After a nominal interval, our food arrived. I took a quick "before" portrait of my lobster with handcut fries and excellent coleslaw. My wife started digging into her wrap but discovered it was mistakenly blackened. Ally quickly offered a replacement and complimentary dessert to make amends. Unable to decide between bread pudding and blueberry pie, she brought BOTH, on the house. The pie (with ice cream) was great -- not too sweet or tart -- and warm. The new wrap came out shortly thereafter and was fine. Arundel Wharf Restaurant's staff, especially Ally, demonstrated exceptional hospitality and problem-solving skills. They addressed the issue flawlessly, turning a potential disappointment into an overwhelmingly positive experience. And Ally is a rock star!

Totally solid meal and experience here, but ultimately not that much to write home about. The patio is very nice and beautiful, though there's a pretty strong breeze that can get cold if it's not super warm out. The staff was very friendly, and it took a while for the meal to come out. The cheeseburger was ok -- others had recommended it and it didn't live up to those standards. We had the halibut too, which was better. Ultimately a nice little spot, but nothing that really stood out.

My family and I had a really nice experience at Arundel Wharf Restaurant! Our server, Grace, was excellent and made great recommendations from the menu. We had the blueberry sangria and blueberry lemonade which were delicious. We started with the lobster bisque - highly recommend, it had a perfect complex flavor and was one the best bisque/chowder/stew I've had in Maine this season. We also shared the crab Rangoon dip which was delicious - it's like a decomposed crab Rangoon with real crab meat. Definitely recommend this as an app! For my entree I had the triple decker lobster club that was loaded with lobster meat. The generous portion of lobster had a nice texture and flavor. If you like BLTs / clubs and lobster, you'll love this sandwich. The day we came it was raining outside, but the restaurant is in a beautiful location on the water. I definitely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner if you're in the Kennebunkport area!

We had a wonderful evening at Arundel's. The outdoor seating will be difficult for parties of 7 or more so be prepared to possible split your group. The calamari were spot on as was the Crab Rangoon dip (killer). The lobster bake was great as were the fried clams, stuffed haddock with crab cake (some may find the crab cake a bit spicy). If you are Kennebunkport, you need to enjoy a meal at Arundel's. They have great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

With its outstanding location on the Kennebunk River, this could be the perfect location for a tourist trap - but it is NOT! Friendly staff and excellent food that is reasonably priced by today's standards! If you're looking for a great outdoor (and indoor) location to enjoy a good meal in Kennebunkport, Arundel Wharf belongs at the top of your list! (And I live only 10 minutes away, so I know the best places in town!)

A little disappointed I have to say. This restaurant came highly recommended by locals no less. First off, can't beat the view. Unless the weather is uncooperative, sit outside! The food was pricey, which is not unexpected for a waterside tourist location, but the quality of the food fell short and did not match expectations. I ordered the fish and chips. The haddock came in chunks, which instantly tells me it's subpar scraps from the fish factory. A quality haddock should be one whole filet. Furthermore, the portion was half of what I'd get back home. It was breaded. Flavorless. Rubbery. Probably just a notch above microwaved Gorton's from the grocery store freezer. My wife got a bun less hamburger and sweet potato fries and fared better than I did, but still not worth the price. My aunt got the lobster roll and sweet potato fries and was fairly happy with choice. So for the quintessential Maine lobster roll, they deliver. So, overall we'll give it a 3.

We ventured out to Maine for our first travel experience and we got that right with Arundel Wharf. Friendly, welcoming and fully supportive of our use of a face masks, and seating still using social distancing guidelines and the staff was using their face masks. We look forward to "seeing" you next time! And the view - wow! we were in town on a Monday and many of the outside options were closed, one shop keeper told us to walk the extra block and enjoy ourselves on the desk - and we did! Enjoyed the local main beer option and had the classic Mussels! Lunch does not need to be fancy, just good. This was good. We will be back!

This place was very busy so it took awhile to get seated. Location was great and drinks were good. Everyone enjoyed their food while mine was just ok...I got the pasta and the sauce was a little too rich/sweet for my taste, but the seafood in it was great. Overall, a fun spot to eat right on the water in Kennebunkport. I'd go back, but order something different.

I want to love this restaurant but the few times I have visited I have left feeling disappointed. The location is great. It's a little bit away from the main area of Kennebunkport but it one of the only places with a large outdoor deck on the water. This is probably the restaurants most redeeming quality. They also have a good amount of parking which is nice. As I mentioned earlier, we have been to this restaurant multiple times. We would go here strictly for the mudslides. This seemed to be the only place around who offered them and had the outdoor deck. Two things you can't beat on a Spring/Summer day. The last time my group visited our server was a young girl who was training. The woman training her had a terrible attitude and talked down to the trainee on several occasions. This made our party uncomfortable. The trainee was very kind, and outgoing. Our table asked to order a round mudslides. The trainee said of course but the trainer quickly jumped in to shoot our order down letting us know they no longer offered them. We were disappointed so someone from our party asked why they no longer offer them. The trainer became immediately defensive and said they do not have a blender. The calamari was MEH. 20% gratuity was included in the bill and was NOT mentioned to us when the bill was dropped off. I know gratuity like this is standard for parties of 6 or more but we did not have 6 at our table. A heads up would've been nice. We probably won't come back unless the mudslides do.

Beautiful week up in Maine, but the Arundel Wharf Restaurant sucked out loud! Why? Before we were seated, we waited 15 minutes for a drink, that is a bit long don't you think while the bartender was tell the other bartender what to put in the mixed drinks she was making. Then the hostess was seating a foursome and one said can we sit near the water, well the hostess slammed down the menus and said, I guess! We got out meals I started out with clam chowder just warm, she had to take it back and reheat it. One in our party had steak tips, with a wire in her tips, the waitress said oh that's from the grill!! Well, she didn't eat it and they did take if off her bill. Come on you don't say want something else?!! The food was just ok so sorry it was our last day of vacation. Short staffed to bout should of went to Allison's the best in Kennebunkport, Me.

Great spot! Good food and a great patio overlooking the river / port. Plan for a wait, but there are plenty of comfortable chairs to enjoy while sipping a drink.

I ordered the fish and chips. The fish wasn't seasoned beyond the coating, some fries were a little burnt, and the coleslaw was okay. It was a good amount, definitely a filling meal.

Great food, terrific service and with beautiful water views! Can get noisy inside but if you are okay with the noise it makes it all seem lively! Highly recommend!

My husband & I had an amazing dinner here. When we were first seated it took almost 15 minutes for our server to arrive. But once we ordered the food & drink arrived in a reasonable time. My husband ordered the Shoreman's Pie which had huge chunks of lobster , scallops & shrimp. He devoured it. I ordered the sizzling scallops with a bacon & maple syrup sauce!! Unbelievably delicious. I could eat it for breakfast. Of course the atmosphere can't be beat, right on the water!!!

We came in here for dinner on a Friday at 6pm and it accommodated our large group quickly! We all got the clam chowder which was very good and lobster. They offer mashed potatoes and green beans for sides and the green beans were good. The lobster was fresh! Nothing like eating a kind lobster on the ocean in Maine! Definitely would recommend.

Yikes! Not the best service, ambiance, or food! Got a corona but no lime? Lol. Fish n chips were pretty terrible honestly. Dad got the lobster stew and said it was really good. Yeah... skip this one

The only reason this is not a zero star is that the waitress was a pro who was working her butt off. Waited over an hour after being seated. (Waited at lease 30 minutes to get a drink after being seated). Most importantly the food was terrible. Domino's would have been a better choice.

Will return. The restaurant is on a wharf that served as chandlery in her previous life. It has indoor dining section which opens after 5 pm and outdoor which is on the Kennebunk River, is where we've our lunch. The reception lady is bit stern but efficient. She helps out to clean tables. A good team player with cold demeanor. We were treated to a world class ballerina's performance. Thank you :)  The deck is on the narrow Kennebunk River that's filled with boats. A sailing school shares the parking lot with the restaurant. Boats, canoes and kayaks go by constantly. The service is good so is the food. My Riesling is on the sweet side; fried calamari has a few pickled Greek pepper which is an excellent addition. Salad feels old. Avocado lobster is very good. An enjoyable lunch in a tranquil setting. The restaurant is a few steps from the downtown. It's our first time to #41's home turf and are surprised at the hustle and bustle of their downtown, which isn't exactly small given to the 3,474 population (2010 census). People milling on the street are decidedly older (so are the diners ...). Later we saw a big group of tour buses (coaches) parked discretely by the Shack - wondering if they're retirees from some organizations - which may explain the over crowding ... Another restaurant Alisson's which is in the town square, with 575 ratings (this one has 127) but we liked our choice.

I haven't been to this restaurant in two years. It was always a favor of mine. The location is very picturesque on the water. Awesome lobster rolls and delicious sweet potato fries.

Six of us arrived around 4:45 as walk- ins with no reservations. We were seated within a few minutes, which we really appreciated. I'm guessing the young hostess was having a bad day since she was obviously a bit annoyed and impatient with us deciding on her offer to sit inside our out on the deck in the sun. Our decision took about 20 seconds, but hey, it was getting a preference from 6 people. Anyway, we had a wonderful young waitress who took excellent care of us in our visit. The food was wonderful. We all ordered something different, and everyone was delighted with their choice. The prices were moderate considering the location on the water, and certainly worth the high quality of the dishes served. Great atmosphere for couples and families with well-mannered kids. My wife and I both enjoyed lobster rolls today. We sat in the heated tent on the porch and enjoyed waterfront views with our food. Our server was very friendly and competent.

Beautiful restaurant in Kennebunkport with breathtaking views. I sat outside and enjoyed a clam chowed paired with New England oyster crackers. It hit the spot on a cold day in Maine. Great service as well.

Only disappointment was the french fries, everything else was great - service, ambience, and food! Ordered the clam chowder, lobster stuffed avocado and a steamed lobster. The chowder was great and full of clams! The avocado was stuffed with the lobster salad and not at all stingy. Lots of of big chunks and not too mayonnaise-y like some salads can be. And can't go wrong with a steamed lobster! Lobster came with fries and coleslaw. Setting on the water is great and the waitstaff was very nice and attentive. Definitely recommend this place!

So many good options in Kennebunk, but we will keep coming back here because Kim made us feel so welcome. She wasn't just friendly and attentive, she helped us plan the rest of our weekend! Highly recommend, ask for Kim.

This was the BEST lobster club sandwich that I have had here in 4 years! Beautiful day sitting out on the dock. Not a hardship waiting for our table as the blueberry vodka lemonade was excellent and a good price. The sunshine and breeze made it a perfect day. Our server was very attentive and food was prepared quickly! Will definitely be coming back here again.

Great atmosphere. On the water with views. Outdoor dining and an outdoor section for drinks. Food is good. Prices are not high but similar to other resort restaurants pricing. But main reason to go are the view and atmosphere
