"Arusha National Park is listed among Tanzania's parks with campsites, and I mention that special campsite reservations for Tanzanian parks can be made at the TANAPA head office in Arusha." - Matthew Kepnes

A great day trip from Arusha! An incredible park, with such lush forest and so much wildlife. Can’t wait to go back and explore more!

I went to ANAPA, in April 2024, I did a day trip. It was worth it. The road from the small lake was kinda broken (I hope TANAPA had it fixed). But everyone was kind. And when we got stuck the authorities were readily available to help.

It is a wonderful feeling to see animals and natural beauties that I have admired in documentaries for years up close and alive. I wish I could have gotten closer but it was not safe. I would have taken more pictures if I could, but my battery was dead.

Beautiful little park for a unique safari! Best giraffe encounter! One of the best safaris for monkeys and birds. No predators here :) Go with Albert from Winnie’s Adventure! He is the best!

Arusha National Park is a relatively small National Park that covers Mount Meru. It is close to the town of Arusha. The views are very beautiful. We saw hundreds or possibly thousands of Flamingos and many giraffes and zebras. Did not see elephants. Enjoyed the game drive and the scenery.

It was rainy season when I visited and absolutely loved the park. The wildlife here are very peaceful. Also learnt that the park neither has lions nor cheetahs, which leaves the rest of the animals here living carefree. Must be nice 🙂 Wildlife species to expect are giraffes, red dikers, buffalo, zebras, the blue monkey, velvet monkey, warthogs...among others.

Best experience ever! Our walking safari guide hemed tracked down a family of 13 giraffe that we got very close too! We also got very close to the Cape buffalo, many warthogs and zebras. Everything was living in harmony. He also hiked to a waterfall. Worth every penny! I don’t know why this place isn’t more talked about we had such a great experience
