Arya Wellness Retreat

The best hostel I’ve stayed in. The dorms are beautiful, beds are divine, and all the girls I shared with were extremely friendly and respectful. The hostel offers daily activities and tours which are a great way to meet people. Everyone was really friendly and open minded and the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast is included and the restaurant’s food is delicious if you prefer to stay in one night. I was a female solo traveller, 30yo. I don’t really stay in hostels anymore but heard so many good reviews about this place and it lived up to the expectations. There’s also private rooms available. Highly highly recommend, I can’t wait to be back!

I came here the second time because I loved it so much. It is a peaceful retreat in the middle of Ubud. Very easy to meet people and a great vibe overall. All the staff is so nice and really helpful. The dorms are great, very clean and enough space for everyone. Definitely recommend coming here as a female solo traveler!!

A very nice hostel in a prime location in Ubud. It's set back from the road so you don't get all the hustle and bustle from the main road outside. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, the pool was lovely, all the staff were so kind and helpful and the food was very good. There is an excellent range of activities that you can sign up for (many are free), and breakfast is also included. It's worth noting that not all the staff are female; this didn't bother me personally (and every single staff member is brilliant) but perhaps something to keep in mind given that it's a hostel only for female guests. Four stars because I think it could do with a touch more security, especially given that the hostel is only for females; the front door to the hostel is always open to allow guests to come and go as they please, and although there is a security guard 24/7, this also means that theoretically anyone could just wander in off the main street if they wanted to, and there's nothing separating the front desk area from the rest of the hostel, including the rooms. We stayed in a private room so we were able to lock the door from the inside at night, but I understand that the doors to the dormitories are also always left open (for the same reason as the front door); not sure I'd have been comfortable with this myself if I had stayed in a dorm, especially at night and given that the front door is never locked. My suggestion would be keycards and scanners; this would enable all doors, including the front door, to stay locked at all times, while allowing guests the freedom to come and go at their leisure. We were also given only one key between two of us for our private room which was tricky logistically when we sometimes had separate plans; it was workable but it would have been nice to have been given a key each. Overall I would highly recommend this place. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay, and I will remember the kindness and hospitality of the staff for a long time. They also organised safe onward transport to get to our next destination, which was very much appreciated. Worth noting that if you are paying for your stay when you arrive at the property, there is an extra surcharge if you are paying the balance by card.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in, especially as a solo traveler. I ended up extending my stay by a week. Very clean shared rooms with just four beds (the biggest, coziest beds I’ve encountered at a hostel). The food is delicious, the activities offered are amazing. It’s so easy to meet people and the vibe is great. Also one of the only hostels in the center of town. Best of all, the staff truly makes you feel like family and has great local recommendations. I will be staying here again!

This is my second time staying with Arya and it's truly amazing here. A little pocket of bliss in the middle of Ubud. After my visit last year, I just had to come back during this trip. The staff are so lovely and involved, and the little events in the evening are amazing. Breakfast delicious, as always. But what's the best thing of all is the community. All the women who come here are similar minded. There is no drama, no judgement, just love and compassion. You meet friends for life here, because Arya creates an environment where everyone can be wholeheartedly themselves. It's so beautiful, and something I have never experienced before. Arya will always have a place in my heart ♡

This is the best Hostel I've ever stayed in. I booked my own room and it was so spacious, clean and nice. The pool area was lovely and the location is very walkable and central. The staff is so kind and helpful and they organize the day trips for you so you don't have to think about much. Don’t even get me started on the Inka spa down the street, you get a text basically everyday for 50% off the services and it’s so beautiful. I went almost everyday. It's so nice being surrounded by other female travelers and I highly recommended staying here it's so worth it!!

Arya is an incredible place to stay. Everything exceeded my expectations—from the peaceful setting to the nourishing food and beautifully maintained spaces. The yoga classes, meditation and cacao ceremony were a true highlight for me. They left me feeling grounded and renewed each day. What made the experience truly special was the staff working in Arya. They created such a warm, supportive, and welcoming atmosphere. I left feeling recharged, connected, and deeply grateful. A truly transformative experience—I would return in a heartbeat. Thank you X

Loved this place! Just perk after perk! Lovely dorms, lovely front desk staff, and lovely young male staff who did everything they could for us- treating us like queens! Loads of interesting activities to partake in every day and night. Daily massage and mani/pedi included. Laundry able to be done, spacious lockers, beds made for you daily, as well as lovely included breakfast! Plus right in the heart of Ubud but sitll peaceful...LOVE!! Best of all- the fabulous girls I met from all over the world- Mexico, Ireland, South Africa, Sweden etc who made the experience so special.||My one reccomendation is more regular vaccuming in the rooms.
