The food was so good we ate here twice during our 4 day trip! But we got lucky getting a table each time we walked in, so keep in mind they do fill up during popular times. Love the quirky decor and super friendly service. Lots of vegetarian options for me, all super delicious even for my meat-eating husband, and even the vegan chocolate cake was incredible (and I'm very skeptical about these kinds of things).

The food was great and the staff also! They have a very big selection of beers, but they are expensive around 7€ a bottle. I really like everything we tasted. They have a variety of food from many different countries, it was great!

Google
Ambiance, service, food, drink something not to be missed on a trip to Porto. Very quirky and a menu that has wonderful food and an immense range of craft beers, wines, whiskeys, brandys, gins................. The staffs knowledge equally matches the vast menu and the only downside was we just never had enough days to revisit

Google
Stumbled upon this gem as we were winding through the back streets looking for a nice place to get a beer and a bite to eat! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the next hour or so! Lots of Belgium as well as local beer choices and great food choices! The Goulash (pork)with peppers in a rich wine sauce was amazing!(sm serving)makes a nice before dinner snack!

Very nice place to eat, friendly staff and good food. Beer was a little expensive, but a lot of choice. We really loved the desserts.

Yelp
Super cool, quaint little hole in the wall place with great food and great service. The "meat tower" is a must; chock full of local cold cuts, fruits and breads. The spicy potatoes are amazing as is the chicken adobo. They have a great bar complete with an amazing scotch collection and plenty of beers. When in Porto: come here. Maybe make reservations though, it's small and can get busy.

Yelp
Tip: Don't leave if they turn you away 'cause the place is "full". Ask to be seated in their backroom, so you can enjoy drinks while you wait for a table. Came here as a back-up to another restaurant that was packed, but I'm glad that I ended up here. We were initially "sent away" and told they were fully booked, but as we were outside looking up another place on our phones, a couple left, so we were seated. When they say "booked", they just mean currently full...not necessarily solid.reservations.all night. The interior looks like a quaint, old world, restaurant, but the atmosphere is more relaxed and friendly in a chill way! Food is lighter, international fare (onion bahjji, currywurst, falafel) while drinks menu, especially the beer, seems to be more of an extensive list. Owner's personal passion perhaps? Food was solid and everything was made in-house. Owner was very kind, originally from Germany who settled in Porto a while ago. I never went there to drink, but it seems like they really know their stuff!

Yelp
For our last night in Porto, we walked over to As 7 Maravilhas because we heard they had craft beers on draught. To our delight, they had the original Budweiser Budvar (Czech Republic origin). We shared 3 small bites including Padron Peppers, Curry wurst and an amazing Cauliflower soup with sesame seeds. The servers were very attentive and happy. As a bonus, they we were able to listen to a great playlist that included singer/songwriters, big band and folk music. The ambiance and vibe made for a perfect last night in the great city of Porto. This place is worth dropping in for a drink and some good schnibbles too!

Yelp
The crew by itself deserves for you to give it a try. But the main reason would be the food. The selection of tapas they offer must have been created by a mad genius born out of the forbidden love between the Thunder and a 3 star French chef. My eyes were filled with tears as I plunge vegetables into a hot mixture of miso, garlic and lemon they call a 'vegan fondue'. And I'm not even vegan! The 'pimentos padron' are a must do, so is their 'sardine butter toast'. If, like me, you are from the Beer Kingdom of Belgium, you'll appreciate their extensive beer portfolio that includes a few local craft beer with the ability to bring a respectful nod out of a Belgian. * And if it is wine that rocks your world they also managed to outdo themselves in that area, presenting local wines for all pockets and all tastes with a simple system ton find your preference. In other words, I recommend this place. * Last time it happened was in 2007 in California - Laura de Smet, 'Memoires of a traveling Belgian', 2009 éditions Dupuis -

Yelp
Such a lovely place. We loved the vibe, the staff and the experience. We went in on a sunday night around 715pm. The restaurant got busier as the night went on as they normally do. We got a bunch of starters to share.2 Eggplant dishes, 2 brine eggs, gazpacho, falafel, green peppers and sausage. Loved everything about this experience. We also had a drink each (2 ppl) and the total was $46 euro. Def recommend.

Yelp
As 7 Maravilhas is not really a "Gatropub", as it is categorized right now on Yelp. Yes, there is a tremendous range of beer, but it's a restaurant with passionate food and beautiful decor. It came recommended to us by a local (who runs an organic food store in the art district) as one of her favourite places in town to eat vegetarian food, despite the fact that As 7 Maravilhas also serves meat! The references to "bar" and "watched the world cup here" in earlier posts also don't match what one finds on an ordinary night: there is no TV on, nothing tacky like that. Think instead, candle light and flowers... The owners are portuguese and German, and the name of the bar refers to the pan-international style of cuisine. One can get falafel, but also curry here! The portions are not large, but are delicious.

Yelp
Far too late, but better late than never as the very true saying goes. In march I went on a studytrip where we also stayed in Porto for a couple days. You know students; not much money, in groups, still want to eat great food. As 7 Maravilhas was the wonderfull resolution! It was getting late, restaurants were packed and we were hungry. Than, in a dark, quiet street (not a scary one though!) we stumbled onto this little place. The host was super friendly, and we could sit all together in the back of the restaurant. We ordered fantastic (white) port, and delicious tapas. It had such good atmosphere, and the history of the place was a big plus! After all, we are heritage students (; You want a great time with some friends, step inside this place and you'll find it (:

Yelp
Excellent bar! We watched the World Cup final here, in a room in the back with a TV and several comfortable seats. I tried a few different kinds of port (about 4 euros a glass) and there were cheesy puffs on the table, to share. They unfortunately don't serve food in the back, but their assorted meats and cheeses looked very good. By the time the game was over, though, we needed a full meal, so we ventured out. If I lived in the area, this is where you would find me.

Yelp
Quaint, lively, great food and a very nice waitstaff. It's a small restaurant but we were lucky to get a seat right away. If time permits, I'd definitely go again.
