The Best Beach in Spain Is This Spot in Basque Country

"As Catedrais, also known as 'The Cathedrals Beach', is a natural wonder in Lugo, Galicia. It is famous for its unique rock formations and arches, which resemble the architecture of a cathedral, especially visible during low tide."

Very nice place, where you can see many "stone bridges". Its necessary to reserve entrance to this beach (its free) and you must go only during the low tide. We was there on Monday, and there were many people. You can lay on the beach and relax, play in waves or walk along the beach. But you must watch the sea level, because it goes up quite quickly.

It was beautiful. Overall, very clean. We came off season so the services were limited. Enjoy the high tiene and low tide if you have time. Super high waves and then empty beach to walk around. Breathtaking!

Absolutely stunning! Arrived just before low tide and stayed a couple of hours. Beautiful beach with fine white sand. Large free car park. Cafe close by.

Definitely worth visiting. Accessibility to the entire beach depends on the tide, also there are some trains from Ribadeo that will take you closer to the beach.

Most underated beach I have ever been, this place is like a heaven on earth. If you at Spain would recommend must visit. Watch out the official website to visit at low tide day though so u can walk down to the beach, at 3pm tide will be low tide. With or without walking to the beach is totally different experience.

Nice beach! Enough parking, there's a Bar near to have a coffee, although it's not a nice place to seat and enjoy the view, it's dirty and the service is not friendly. Things to have in consideration: - the arriving time because of the tides, if not on time you can't visit all of it. - on April was already with quite a few people, and you might find some who needs to take 1000 pictures/videos before you have an opportunity

This beach is a real gem, but there are a few important things to keep in mind to make your day there truly unforgettable. First, it is important to know that access to the beach is limited, and to get there, you need to book an appointment in advance. But do not worry - it is worth it! Another important point is the tides. Be sure to follow the tide schedule, because at certain times the beach can be completely flooded. To arrive there when the water has risen and find that there is nowhere to walk, will be quite frustrating. Now about the beach itself. It really is a magical place! The nature here is amazingly beautiful - unique landscape, bright colors and amazing atmosphere. The water in the ocean is not very cold in August. Don't forget to bring a raincoat. The weather here can be changeable, and the rain can start unexpectedly. And of course, comfortable shoes for walking on the rocks are a must have. There are several parking lots, a picnic area, a restaurant and a paid toilet near the beach. In general, this beach is an ideal place for those who want to feel unity with nature and see something really unusual. I recommend it to everyone.

Very beautiful beach and formations but worth noting that even at low tide in February at 2PM (1.4 metres) it was not possible to go all the way over to the famous triple arches without wading knee high in water. I’m guessing at different times of the year low tide is lower and you can walk to it. Check the tide times with a quick search but we waited 2 hours and low tide wasn’t low enough.
