AS Palau dels Alemanys

I was very impressed by the beauty of the hotel and staff at the Palau dels Alemanys. The hotel has a historical past including a Roman wall. My room was the Suite Els Festejadors and much more than I expected from my Hotels.com pictures. The small kitchen had the basic amenities including water and coffee. The living room was spacious and allowed me to relax. And the bedroom was very large and the bed comfortable. I enjoyed the morning after I arrived to see so many historical buildings from my windows - what a joy. The management were great as they gave me a tour and told me the history of the building. The hotel is located within steps of many of the sights in Girona.

The fully equipped kitchenette was a highlight, and the washing machine was an unexpected bonus that made our extended stay feel effortless. We loved relaxing on the sun terrace and in the serene garden, soaking up the views of Girona's medieval architecture. The air-conditioned rooms, plush bedding, and high-end amenities like bathrobes and a tea/coffee maker ensured we felt pampered throughout. Despite the historic setting, everything was impeccably modern—WiFi, flat-screen TV, and even a safe for peace of mind. The location couldn't be better, aside the walls of historic, making exploration a breeze. What truly elevated our stay, however, were the incredible hosts, Sara and Carlos. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us like old friends, providing a personalized tour of the property and sharing fascinating insights into its history. Their passion for the place is infectious, and they went above and beyond to make our visit special—recommending hidden gems in Girona, arranging local experiences, and ensuring every detail was perfect. Whether it was a quick tip on the best nearby restaurants or accommodating our requests with genuine warmth, Sara and Carlos made us feel truly at home in this historic gem. If you're looking for a stay that marries timeless elegance with outstanding service, Palau dels Alemanys is unbeatable. We can't wait to return—five stars all around!

I wish I could give this more stars. Where to start: location, service, accommodation, everything was perfect. It's a boutique hotel with owners/staff that really show they care about every detail. I generally like staying in old hotels/houses/castles, and they exceeded my expectations. It's modern where you need it, but old where you want it. What I did not expect was how fantastic the location was. You cannot do better. Really, it's perfect. Perfect experience, perfect staff/owners/hosts, perfect everything. DO NOT MISS.

The room/apt was incredible - historically fascinating, beautifully renovated. The section we were in was from the 14th century and lovingly brought up to date. A section of the rear wall dates to the 1st century BC. ||The owners, Carlos and Sara, were extremely nice and helpful. Truly a pleasure. If I could give ten stars, I would.

I made a mistake understanding fine print when scheduling my reservation. Sara worked with me to find a solution that was more than reasonable. I'm looking forward to my stay and appreciate very much the hotel's flexibility. They even gave me a discount on the extra day I requested. Thanks Sara!

Unique, beautiful and historic place to stay! Sara and Carlos were wonderful hosts.

This hotel is so beautiful. Our suite was perfect with a lounge area, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area. The views from our room were breathtaking. The hotel has a complimentary bar area for coffee, soft drinks and alcohol which is such a nice touch after a long day walking around the town. The location is perfect in the old town just a few minutes from the cathedral. The evening of our trip we had a storm and we stayed in as the rain was very heavy, we watched Netflix and had food delivered! Such a wonderful hotel. Would definitely recommend for a cultural stay rather than a standard hotel.

This aparthotel is in an amazing location very close to Girona cathedral. The beautifully restored building has amazing views out over the town. ||It was exceptionally quiet (apart from the church and cathedral bells) and was the perfect place to unwind and relax. Very close to some excellent restaurants and cafés. The check in was very efficient.||The only disappointment was that the room wasn't serviced on one of the days we stayed. Other than that it would have rated 5 stars.

How am I the first to review?! This place was simply amazing. It's a little different in the sense that there isn't a front desk per se but checking in was a breeze. Then we were headed to our room in the elevator which opened directly to our room. I feel like I've only ever seen this in movies. There's one room per floor and although a pretty old and historic building, it was upgraded to have a kitchen in each room, amazingly comfortable bed and an AC.
