Asado

I didn't know what to expect but in the end I must say I had a great meal here. I had the 120 p/p set and I wasn't disappointed. It came with tapas, wagyu, pork and dessert. I must mention the wagyu. Cooked perfectly, it was tasty, delicious and incredible. All their dishes were beautifully presented, flavoured, cooked and well explained. I also took the wine pairing. Which was superbly chosen and fitted the dishes well. Loved the vibe and the dining environment, while the waiters and staffs were efficient and unobstrusive. The place was also generally quiet and you can have a good conversation. Anyhow, I had a really great meal and recommend coming here for an enjoyable meal.

Not impressed. Huge venue, not very busy. But do you think they could be bothered to give us a decent table? That would be a hard no. Next, after indicating we didn’t want starters or entrees we were told that it would be 30-40min wait for a steak. Ok. But, it was actually closer to nearly an hour before finally getting our meal. And, then the 500g Beef ribeye was barely warm, not to mention chewy and quite flavourless. Thankfully the potatoes and salad saved the meal. Moving onto dessert was a huge mistake. We waited forever for a thin, barely warm Cheesecake, which was more like a pancake. The server’s attitude did not help. When settling our bill, we noticed they did not charge for the cheesecake. While grateful, we felt it was very peculiar they didn’t mention it! It was not a good experience overall.

This was our first time at Asado and it did not let us down. We had the wonderful Megan as our server who was nothing short from incredible. She explained the menu, checked up on us and answered all of our questions in immense detail. She was just absolutely so kind as well. We started with cocktails and they were delicious. The food at this place was mind blowing, we are still thinking about it. The meat was perfectly cooked and the flavour mixed with red wine was incredible. The beef tartare was one of those things that I think I will now crave. For desert we got the parfait which was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. I can’t recommend this place more.

Such an incredible dinner! I’ve been here a couple of times, and today I decided to bring my partner for his birthday. As you can see in the pictures, the mix of plates we chose was a perfect proportion for two people but we will have to come back for dessert because we had a show straight away. Thanks Asado Team! 🥰🥰🥰 I had an absolutely wonderful lunch here! The ox tongue appetizer was so tasty, and both the beef and chicken were cooked to perfection—simply amazing. The meal was not only delicious but also added so much joy to my trip, making the whole journey even more enjoyable. Truly an excellent dining experience—highly recommended❣️ and many thanks to our server Cami for the warm and attentive service❤️

Such a great dining experience - our excellent waiter Ricky was excellent. He even wrote a birthday message on the card for our friends birthday. The food was incredible - highly recommend the croquetta and the steak 🥩 anchovies garlic toast is a stand out too. The flan is a burst of flavour (but more on the sweet side) You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes, would come again!

This was our first time dining at Asado and came in with high expectations as we have tried all the other restaurants in the San Telmo Group. We celebrated our anniversary at Asado and it did not disappoint! The restaurant itself looked amazing with a nice dark atmosphere and the staff/service were attentive. We also had multiple staff saying “happy anniversary” to us which was quite thoughtful. The food was delicious, the only thing we didn’t enjoy as much was the ceviche because we found the sauce to taste a bit too much like veggie green juices. However, The beef tongue skewers was melt in your mouth soft! The steak was also cooked to perfection. We were prepared to leave after the mains without getting dessert but the team surprised us with a complimentary Argentinian cookie, which ended up being so TASTY. We’re super grateful to the team for leaving a positive experience on our special day 😊 will definitely be coming back in the future to eat some of our favourites as well as try some different dishes.

I super enjoyed the meal in here tonight. The dry-aged steak was so delicious to eat. We served by Megan, she is so nice and introduced anything in the menu. All these nice food are recommended her!

I enjoyed lunch here. Although this is a "meat" place, you will be able to get other offerings. I had a really great, attractive, colourful and delicious Octopus dish with side salads of squash (hot) and cucumber (cold). It was all so delicious, beautifully prepared, fresh, good quality ingredients and most enjoyable. I'd come back again. Thank you.

We went for our 44th anniversary. "Some of the best grilled meats combined with one of the worst receptions ever. " Unfortunately the ambiance was extremely poor which ruined the entire experience. The music was extremely loud. We asked to sit at an empty outside table away from the music and were told that we could only order drinks if we sat there even though people were being served meals at adjoining tables a few meters away. So our choice was to sit in another location or leave. There was no choice given to wait until our preferred table or a table in that area would allow for a meal order. Carry out would be more pleasant. Of note, I have never previously provide a negative review for any business. Similar experience to Francis P - shocking treatment by receptionist. It would be good to remember that this is a service business and part of the value is the service and experience.

Went for our 10th anniversary... been here about 2 years before now, and had the same fantastic waitress Ally... the reasons why we will return again and again; great food, no problems with dealing with allergies etc, and Ally! Such great service and with a lovely accommodating attitude. Nothing is a problem for her or the fantastic chefs.

Really cool restaurant that serves Argentinian cusine. I really liked the leather decor, and ambiance of this place was comforting. The food was delicious, but being somewhat of a purest, I was disappointed in their octopus entre as it had too much going on being mixed with others things.

I thought the food was amazing. Blood sausage, pork and fillet were great. Also, loved the carrots. Love it!!!

Great variety of meats,very nice decor food was amazing steak at great temperature and nicely cooked. Papa's and ceviche you need to try. We tried quilmes beer great taste. Oysters absolutely try them. Please get Nestor as your server very pleasant. I will back next time I come back to Melbourne. Visiting from Los Angeles.

Well have to say some of the best grilled meats combined with one of the worst receptions ever. Stopped in for a late lunch around 3pm and despite the nearly empty area, the 2 of us were seated up against a wall within arms distance of the only large group there. We nicely asked for any one of 20 other tables and the receptionist reacted incredibly rudely. Made a big deal, told us we would have to wait (!?) and sent us to the bar, to wait. Shocking treatment ; came back with an attitude and when we explained again she said PLEASE DO NOT BE AGGRESSIVE! Totally out of context and out of place, would have left had I been alone. But thankfully we stayed and enjoyed deliciously grilled eye steak, skirt steak and vegetables! Not sure how to rate, 5 for food, 0 for the initial treatment, 4 for the rest; have to give a 3 due to the initial shock welcome !!
