Youre a hard working Nicaraguan dude from the bario. This is the fritanga you stop at on your way home from work. Primitive tables and chairs, ladies grabbing the charcoal with their hands. The juices are massive and fresh. Even tho the cheese in the papa fritas is feta-ish its still so delicious and cheap I recommend trying everything. A standard for bottom dollar. Be careful of your surroundings/route if you walk there for the first time at night - a gringa alone? Take a cab.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is the waiting, Food is delicious, probably the best carne asada in Managua, no doubts. But it is very , very CROWDED, probably the owners know it, and the place is really small. The definitely need to do something. Other than that, if you are looking for the best carne asada in Managua, this is your first choice

The best place for a family dinner in Managua. Delicious fast huge portions reasonably priced. Love this place. It feels like home. 10/10 every time we visit Managua we visit Doña Tania.

I gave this a 5 star for food, not because it was fancy, delicate, unique, etc... but because it seemed like authentic family style Nicaraguan food. I'm not Nicaraguan so I might now know what I'm talking about. I'll say this though... the place had at least 10 food delivery service bikes outside, another 20 people or so waiting for take out food, and it was packed with local family and friends. Even so, it's large and we were given a table right away. It abounds with choices. Mostly you order each dish you want individually. The prices are quite affordable. The food is TASTY! I ordered enchiladas- they weren't what I expected- more like empinadas but they were so good and better then I expected. This is one of the places you will walk out of stuffed because you'll want to try everything. The grilled plantains were ... OMG amazing!!! Please stop by this place if you are in the area. If you like the buz of humanity and authentic food and experience, you'll be thrilled.

Best fritanga in the city. Huge portions and very affordable. Order the carne de res and thank me later.

Really good traditional Nicaraguan food. Tables not level and no big enough to fit plates and drinks. Very uncomfortable tables, but food is good!

Best fritanga we’ve found! Kind of a ”piece it together yourself” ala carte style experience, but the portions are huge and delicious. Great service, English menus if needed, and awesome cacao if you like it a touch thick with a hint of cinnamon. We’ll definitely go back!
