Asakusa Hotel Hatago

We stayed here for 4 nights during our Christmas holiday in 2023. The location is good. There are marts near the hotel, and it’s only a 5-minute walk to Asakusa Station (Asakusa Line) and about 8 minutes to the Ginza Line. The room wasn’t very soundproof — we could hear some voices from neighboring rooms. The room is quite compact, which is pretty common for hotels in Japan, so once we unpacked our luggage, the space was basically full😂🙏🏻 Other than that, everything else was good.

This was our first hotel in Japan and they've set our expectations for the rest. Spotlessly clean room with very comfortable beds. All toiletries etc provided, in room kettle and fridge, no in room safe. Excellent shower and bath, with hot water and good pressure. Literally 2 minutes walk from the station and 5 minutes from Sonsenji gate/main entrance and tourist centre.

The hotel is basic but provided us what we needed when we arrived in Tokyo. That is, somewhere to sleep and call home base as we did many things in the city.

We had a great time staying here! We stayed here for 7 nights and had an amazing time. The room was fairly large (for Tokyo standards), and we felt that the bed was comfortable and solid. The bathroom was clean, and the hot water and water pressure were great! Location was excellent, with two subway lines nearby, and having the river and Nakamise Dori Street nearby was awesome. The staff at the hotel were super friendly, and you could borrow appliances like kettles and irons. The free breakfast was nice, and the 9th floor lounge was excellent to relax and eat in. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a budget friendly hotel in a great location!

Nice hotel, excellent and helpful staff, great location. The rooms were more sparse than expected (no chairs, limited places to hand clothing or put items), and most were very small (even for a business hotel in Japan). Toast for breakfast, though not worth the upcharge.

A great small hotel that is only a few minutes walk from Asakusa station which has a lift up to the street level . Good size room with toilet separate to bathroom. Floor 9 has a lounge with great river views, microwaves and you can take your tea and toast ( included) up there. Friendly staff and easy checkin. Really enjoyed our stay here

The hotel is located close by the train station of Asakusa line in 200 meters with elevator available to get out from the station. Hotel is a bit self service with limited staff. However, it's nice and all staff is helpful when I need. The room is so compact but functional. There is tidy breakfast which you could service yourself in every morning for bread toast with fruit jams and coffee. The view at 9 floors public room is nice. You can enjoy breakfast or relax there by the view of Sumida river and Tokyo Sky Tree. With this price in Tokyo - Asakusa, convenience for transport and amenities, it's great value hotel indeed!!!

Recently stayed here during our short visit to Tokyo from Dec 20th-24th, 2023. Hotel is conveniently located close to the train station which took us straight to & from Narita Airport. Room for 3 was small but cute & clean. Also had great views of the Tokyo Skytree & of the Sumida River. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. Breakfast was just bread so we skipped it every morning and opted for food at the convenience store instead. Enjoyed our stay.

Very small rooms, close to Asakusa station, the only redeeming quality. Our room had a musty smell to it and it seemed like there was a lot of condensation on the window. Breakfast is very meager with some toast and tea/coffee. Frugal/ bare bones however it was decently clean and mostly quiet.
