Really disappointing experience here. Instructors are sub par, though Sunday restore class was ok. Front desk staff could not be any less interested in you - as a new student no tour, no friendly hellos, no instructions. Here is why I won’t be going back to the studio - it was raining when I walked in, put my umbrella in the yoga mat bag, then shoes in shoe cubby then coat in top. Told front desk lady (who again could not be any less interested). Walked out of the class and some member moved everything to the other cubby zone - THIS UNACCEPTABLE! No one told me, no one stopped her. Why is someone touching my stuff and making a decision on where to move thing, when I specifically told front desk lady (who said nothing) that’s that’s where my stuff will be as otherwise I will likely forget the umbrella (that’s why I put it in the yoga mat bag). No one asked for permission this other lady attending the class just made a decision to move without asking without announcing. I was asking where my stuff is when I walked out of the class, front desk lady had no idea. Again completely unacceptable - no one touches someone else’s stuff without announcement or permission to do so! Especially post covid!

Amazing place with killer barre class thanks to Jessica Diaz! You only think you’ve done barre until you’ve met her. The studio itself is in an easy location with some street parking nearby. The energy is the space is exactly what you want- clean, calm, focused, light. Sunlight pouring from through the front glass windows is both beautiful and warming. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Jessica is simply the best!

The community that Asana has created in Charlestown is phenomenal. From awesome instructors, the best staff and a beautiful studio, this is the place for yoga, barre and pilates. The studio has a warm and welcoming feeling. They offer a great mix of classes, now both in person and online. I’ve been a member for many, many years now and I absolutely love it. They also do a ton for the local community. I would give 10 stars if I could!

I fell upon this gem a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more thrilled! It’s warm, welcoming, the teachers are great it’s spacious and all the classes are beginner friendly (in my opinion). During the pandemic I bought a yoga poster off of Amazon and started mimicking the posses it wasn’t until I started Asana I began to understand the Beauty of it all. I am huMbled and highly recommend it all.

Asana is the ideal yoga studio. A wonderful atmosphere, excellent teachers, a dedicated owner, and a lovely community of members. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Love this studio. Beautiful, serene, clean space. Great shop! Plenty of space for stashing coats / bags, etc. And changing rooms. Only annoyance is the bathroom is down a hallway around the back of the studio, it's a bit weird. Hand sanitizer pumps in the studio would be helpful. They make you take shoes off in the foyer, which is a tad annoying but does keep the place nice and clean. Water cooler to fill bottles. Staff is really sweet. The mom and baby classes are excellent - there's yoga on Tuesdays and barre on Thursdays and the instructors are terrific. Very relaxed classes, no big deal if baby cries or you need to nurse, etc. They also have special classes and series regularly, which is nice. Very accessible on the 92 or 93 bus line (runs downtown - Haymarket to financial district - to/from Charlestown). Not the cheapest - $20 for a drop-in. But I think it's worth it.

Yelp
So I am actually a yoga teacher myself, so there is a little bias that will seep through here. I took the Thursday 6:15 Asana Flow class and found it interesting. I'm very found of vinyasa flows that cue breath to movement, and I find it hard to focus when teachers don't do that. The teacher had a great voice, but would actively call out and correct students and I found that strange. The flow was easy to follow along as well. The studio itself is really nice and has a great view through the windows to downtown Boston/Charlestown. The big minus for me here is that parking is terrible if you're driving. There is no good way for me to get here from Somerville (teele square) and paying $15 for parking really doesn't seem worth it. Would still recommend this studio if you live within walking distance or a good bus route!

Yelp
Asana Charlestown is not for you if . . . - Want yoga in a steam bath at 110 degrees - Teachers who drone on like Boot Camp - Classes with only people under 30 - The same routine everytime - Classes always overstuffed If you want teachers with real personality and students who get to know one another with a variety of approaches then Asana is the best. We've been with Joanna, the owner, for many years and every teacher has been distinct, each approaching their practice with personal style. We are fans of certain teachers going on many years now. Not that I'm old but definitely older than the average (in years only) and every class keeps me focused and I never feel pushed to where I could pull something unexpected - a worry for neophyle yoga naysayers.

Yelp
I am over the moon they have started offering meditation classes here. It's the perfect setting, quiet and contemplative. I have taken their barre, yoga and pilates classes, they are all wonderful. Such a great addition to Charlestown, we all need a place to restore and rejuvinate, Asana is it!
