Egusi soup with beef and pounded yam. Let me just say i drive an extra 25 minutes out of my way for this. The quality and quantity is amazing and delicious, and i never feel bloated after eating it as well. The owner is very kind every time i see him too :) he has told me to try the Jollof Rice but i cant stop ordering this specific meal because its that good 🙏🏼 11/10

It's in a market with other stores. So the atmosphere is what it needs to be for quick food. Michael was very accommodating and explained what foods were, since I have never had African food. I settled on Goat jollof with rice plantains and his sauce. All very delicious. Was nice to try something different. I'll be back. Oh and he also makes his own ginger drink without chemicals. Man it hit hard but it's delicious, most would need to add more water but it's worth it for a crisp, clean drink.

I came last week and the food was amazing, one of the best African restaurants in Somerset area. The young man and the lady was very nice and kind amazing hospitality. I brought the jollof rice, fufu, and egusi soup, which was amazing by the way. It was very tasteful and the food was fresh it was definitely made with a lot of love... I will be visiting again soon..Thanks you for sharing your amazing food, it’s worth it!!! 7/26/23 Two years later and I’m back, I just want to start off and thank the owner for his warm and welcoming energy. Me and my cousin came to visit both got the egusi goat soup and fufu… it was bursting with flavor… the owner was also so very kind enough to hook us up with the jollof rice, which was excellent by the way nice and flavorful and not to spicy.. the service is always amazing I would overall give this place a 10/10 … thank you my brother for your generosity and your kind heart, I appreciate the love your share though your food…🥰 August 3, 2023 Ive waited 2hrs for this food and it was well worth every min… The owner is amazing and I always have awesome encounter … pls go show him some love, you deff will not regret it, it’s soo much love you receive from this place I just love the energy !!!

Had African cuisine for the first, we got the Jollof rice with chicken and fried plantains, it was the best ever! Worth the $18, and the portion size was great. Definitely would recommend others to try this place out.

Found this restaurant during my google search hunt for African food. The owner is very hospitable and kind. The food was delicious! Very enjoyable, flavors on point and not salty. I got the “Red Red” dish, which consisted of beans, red stew and sweet plantains. Yes, the plantains were sweet! Nice and tender as well! Please tell your family and friends about this amazing place. You will not be disappointed. Thank-you Michael for your delicious foods and service!

The jollof rice is amazing. First time trying this cuisine with vegetarian friendly accomodations which is very pleasing. The food is full of flavor!! Loved that. The service is nice very friendly. It is in a food stall lay out, all the way on the left side in the back and not in the back of the strip mall like I thought it was haha. I will come back next week!

Are you feeling adventurous? My son and I had never eaten African Cuisine, but are open to new experiences. The proprietor, Michael, is very friendly and welcoming. Bring your appetite, because the portions are huge! We sampled the peanut soup and it does not taste like you'd think... It has a spicy kick! In fact both dishes that we ordered had an interesting spiciness to them. We shared plates, and found that taking bites with a little of each item on the plate in each bite made a sort of synergistic enhancement. For example, taking some of the spinach with goat meat, spices and fried plantain made each of the different flavors work together in your mouth. My son wasn't fond of the beans and rice mixture, but everyone's taste is different. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, it may or may not work for your palette, but you'll enjoy the experience and Michael's hospitality.
