Asbury Park Pedal Boats

I took two 17-year-olds here for a sunset paddle. The woman working was super friendly and got the girls in their dragon peddle boat immediately and went over some safety rules. The price was very fair! They had a blast going around and I enjoyed one of the chairs in the shade and then went to walk on the bridge. It’s a delightful evening activity to burn off a delicious dinner and dessert while enjoying the sunset!

Super fun! Just be aware that you don't get to pick which boat you ride. We were assigned them. And short people can only do certain boats. Just FYI.

Love this. Went with my mom and step-dad (as adults). The staff was warm and friendly and had a good sense of humor. Nice leisurely activity at the end of a busy work-week.

A very special place in Asbury Park indeed!!! Asbury Park Pedal Boats has a SPRING GRAND OPENING just in time for Mother's Day weekend. This has become a family event that we look forward to every SPRING. We start out at the swan boats on Wesley Lake then visit Moonstruck. We always try for a balcony table with a relaxing view of elegant swans, playful dragons & a pink flamingo...

We had a GREAT time on the boats. We were greeted right away by the most friendly staff, who helped us in and out of the boat seamlessly. Its 25$ for 30 minutes, which is honestly a great price. I think this is such a cute activity for families or couples. I can't recommend this enough.

Very friendly staff and a nice ride! The boat ride is 20 minutes but they let you pedal longer if they are not busy. They don't let you pedal out of their site so you can't really go too far. Two slow rounds of pedaling are about 20 minutes, so it was enough for us even tough we could keep going. The staff helps you to and out of the boat. You can wait for a specific boat if you have a preference for which one you want to ride.

AWESOME! Cheap, easy and fun. Can't beat spending 30 minutes pedaling around Wesley Lake on a gorgeous day. Will definitely be going back in the near future!

Paddling around in a swan boat on an inlet as the sun starts to set - so awesome. 50+ years ago, there used to be swan boats in this water, before Asbury Park went to crap - now they're back. Perfectly romantic with lots of parking right nearby (meters run til midnight fyi), it's a quick waiver to get things started. They have 6-8 boats, including the black swan which is big enough for this 6'8" guy to pilot. Each of us got a life preserver, helped into the boat, and got a photo taken of us with our camera by someone who works there. $20 for 30 minutes, which is enough honestly - if they're not busy, you can stay out a bit longer no problem without paying more. Paddling and steering the boat is really easy - the water is pretty still, so there's minimal to no current to fight against. We'd paddle for a minute then drift along. The water where the paddleboats are is pretty nice too - further inland it can get stagnant and a bit ugly, but where the boats are it's all good. For a truly romantic swan boat ride, paddleboat ride, or whatever you want to call it this is an ideal activity. They shut down around sunset, so manage your timing.

Fun, easy activity. No wait on a Sunday afternoon. Owner and other employee were both nice. Not sure if there are any age limits but they let my preschooler on with dad.

The swan boats are back on Wesley Lake just across from Moonstruck. We spotted the swans from the balcony while having a light dinner at Moonstruck. After a spectacular dinner, we walked to the swans and finished our evening with a very relaxing sail. Everyone was very friendly and helped make this a very memorable night... The perfect weather, stars and a beautiful women by my side probably helped too. It's their first season and based upon the reaction from other guests, I think they're off to a good start. M

My daughter and two grandchildren arrived ahead of two other family cars cars that were following us and we all wanted to take a Swan boat out ... after arriving, and getting out of the car, an older gentleman was working there sitting off to the side on his cell phone. We asked if he was working there and he said he would be right with us... we waited a good five minutes while he was still chatting on the phone - being rude and ignoring us. After another couple of minutes we left. Told our additional family following us not to bother getting out of the car. The man, due to his rudeness and unwillingness to help us by getting off his phone lost about 7 swan rentals ... and quite honestly he could care less ... he was very unprofessional and did not care about customers. I will be posting to many other forums that me and my family are a part of so this does not happen to anyone else... unacceptable! Rude !

Terrible. Business said open 3 families over 20 people waiting for over an hour. Called owner twice and each time said would be there in 15 minutes. Left didn't want to wait any longer.

What a great experience. They were closing up and stayed open so our girls could go out on the swan boat. They subsequently took 2 other couples. The people working gave the kids another 1/2 hour since other people were out. And of course our kids wanted the black swan which had been docked for the night so the people working out her in the water for them!! Very nice people.

The Kids loved this experience. 20 dollars per boat for 1/2 hr ride. We found that to be plenty of time to pedal around the lake. Staff was so friendly, boats were in great condition. We will be returning, I am sure of that.

Quality Time Together on Wesley Lake... The perfect way to spend time with the kids, family and friends at the Jersey Shore! After a day at the beach or just checking out all the hot spots in Asbury this was a real find. The kids never thought they would end the day sailing on Wesley Lake. Part of the fun is choosing between elegant swans, green dragons and pink flamingos. We're always looking for something fun and a little different. And this was a very real surprise especially for Asbury Park! The crew was very friendly and even gave us suggestions for places for lunch and ice cream. Thanks swan lady for making this the best part of our trip. M
