Ascona Lodge, Pool & Garden Retreat

Nice accommodation near the center of Ascona. Very convenient rental of good quality e-bikes at a reasonable price. Helpful staff, although not all speak English.

Great place to stay. In particular I liked the self-service options: bar all night, food, free coffee and sparkling water. The breakfast was very good. They also provide different pillows. The outdoor pool is also very nice. The location seems a bit far but in reality you have buses running frequently and in 15 minutes you are in Locarno.

It's not far away from the centre of Ascona. It's going to be renovated. We liked an innovative way of digital key and the possibility to proceed checking digital. Good if traffic doesn't work as planned and you arrive later. Accessibility could be improved: to the elevator. It's not optimal for wheelchair.

10 minutes walk from the lake, three minutes from the bus, this hotel represents very good value for money. Charming and courteous at reception we were taken to our room which was on the top floor looking over in the direction of the lake. The room was spotless with a good bathroom and a large balcony. More importantly it had A/C whch was welcome as the day time temperature flirted with 32c. Breakfast is a copious buffet. We dined there on two nights, the food was not gourmet but did not try to be. The Merlot was reasonably priced.||We were given excellent advice on where to eat and what to do. The front desk was always happy to make reservations for restaurants and taxis.||If you do not mind not having a lake view. Hotel Mulino is an excellent compromise and at least CHF 200 per night cheaper than being on the lake.

This hotel was surprisingly good - the facilities were excellent and even included a garden and pool. We were hot and tired after a drive when we arrived, and it was absolutely fantastic to relax under the garden vines and dip into the cool pool. It is close walking distance to the pretty lakeside town of Ascona, very atmospheric. The breakfast was lovely, staff really friendly. I was particularly impressed that I could pay in GB pounds!!! I would definitely stay here again. It was lovely.

Stay here for 5 nights. The rooms are lovely with a good en suite. The breakfast has all the usual and was very good. The staff are very attentive. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment on that. We didn't use the pool but other people seem to be enjoying it. The hotel is very close (walkable) to the town . A perfect place to stay in Ascona

very helpful and friendly staff, room was pretty basic but comfortable, good shower. Breakfast OK but nothing special, and only one coffee machine, queues when busy. Swimming pool and garden with sun beds was a great added bonus. Not a lot of on site parking and quite expensive as well. Great location, 5 minute stroll into town.

We had a lovely 3 night stay in this friendly hotel.The room was modern,clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Location really good, as just a few minutes walk from the promenade, town centre and bus stop. Lovely food, breakfast and dinner,and a nice pool, which we had to ourselves.
