A rooftop pool with a nice view alone is not enough to make a hotel 5-star.
A 5-star hotel means service and amenities.
We requested rooms with a view and were told that only one was available.
We offered to pay for the upgrade, and they told us we’d have to wait three hours.
When we returned, they again said there was only one room with a view available.
So why did we wait all that time???
Also, the service at the restaurant and rooftop café was poor.
We ordered a bottle of wine and it was served warm. When we asked for a second one, they said they had no more and tried to bring us a different bottle at 50% higher price.
The sunbeds are plastic with no cushions, and no one comes around the pool area to take orders.
We sat there and the drinks from the previous guests were still on the table for over an hour — in the end, we cleared them ourselves.
Breakfast was also very poor and tasteless.
In the afternoon, we wanted to eat something and were told the kitchen was closed.
A closed kitchen in a 5-star hotel???
That’s a first for me.
We asked if there was another restaurant in the hotel that could serve us, and they said they didn’t know!
This hotel has an excellent location and beautiful rooms, but it urgently needs a good F&B manager because the services it offers are practically non-existent.
I honestly wonder who awarded it 5 stars.
