This Bed and Breakfast is perfect! It is close to downtown Manchester and also nearby (but not too close) to the Freeway to hop on for more out of town adventures (ie Salem, MA). The owners live on site in case you need anything and are available via text or a quick call on the phone in your room. They have a mini fridge right near the front door that has drinks in it for the guests. You can sit by the fire place in the front room and enjoy or hang out in your comfy room. There is a front porch that looks like it could be fun in the warmer months. The whole place is beautifully decorated and very accessible (meaning the stairs up to the rooms aren’t those narrow ones often found in Bed and Breakfasts). You get to choose what you eat for breakfast with very flexible serving times. There is a robe in the room and everything else you could think of. And if you want you can get a discounted rate for your trip to the Currier Museum (it’s literally right down the street. Oh and there is onsite off street parking. Everything is very secure too. If I come back to Manchester I’ll definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Ash Street Inn! It is a beautiful Victorian Bed and Breakfast with lovely hosts. The accommodations were so cozy and comfortable with so many thoughtful details like the homemade cookies with coffee when we arrived and the mini fridge by the door stocked with chilled drinks and the luxurious bath robes in the room. We would absolutely stay again!

From the moment we arrived at the Ash Street Inn, we felt completely at home. Margit and Rob are incredible hosts warm, thoughtful, and passionate about what they do. The inn itself is cozy and full of charm, with so much attention to detail in every corner. Our room was absolutely perfect: comfortable, spotless, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was out of this world, exactly what you hope for at a true bed and breakfast. Homemade yogurt and apple butter, eggs cooked to order, and pumpkin pancakes that were simply divine. Every bite was made with care and probably, one of the best meals we had on our foliage roadtrip. This is what a bed and breakfast should be. A+ in every way, we can’t say enough good things about this place!

We loved our brief stay at the Ash Street Inn. Its location is perfect: easy walks to great restaurants in one direction and a wonderful small museum in another direction. We found the hosts helpful and considerate. My husband was also especially appreciative of the silent and comfortable HVAC system, which Rob was happy to discuss with him. I particularly appreciated Margit's thorough information about local restaurants. Our room was lovely & comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.

We were in town last weekend for a fundraiser for Veterans. We travel often and love to stay at boutique hotels and B&Bs. The Ash Street Inn did not disappoint! Rob and Margit are great hosts. They're warm and welcoming and a good source of info. If you stay, be sure to ask about the restaurants. Margit sent us to an Italian restaurant, and we're Italian food addicts, and the place was excellent. We stayed in room 205, which we chose online before arriving. It was large, clean, and meticulously maintained. It had a comfortable bed, a gas fireplace, an electric wall heater in the bathroom, a desk, a couch, and two nightstands. And, get this: the bathroom had big, real towels. Not the small, barely absorbent small ones in a box hotel. I didn't have breakfast because of my very early schedule each day, but my better half did, and she was very happy with it. We're due back in Manchester in October, and we won't consider staying anywhere else.

Margit and Rob's inn/home is beautiful! The breakfast is delicious and the breakfast room is quaint and homey. We loved everything about our stay and highly recommend booking the Currier Museum/Frank Lloyd Wright houses tour as part of your stay!

Google
Amazing five star experience this weekend at the Ash Street Inn. First of all Rob and his wife couldn’t have been sweeter hosts. They were so helpful with all of our questions and so polite and friendly and making conversation. The accommodations in the kitchen were unbelievable from the mugs to the little details of all of the accoutrements for coffee and snacks. Fresh baked goods every day! Our room was impeccable and the temperature was perfect with a huge ceiling fan right above our bed. I don’t know when we’ll get back to Manchester but we will definitely be staying here. Felt extremely safe happy and cozy at this inn.

This hotel was a dream to stay in! The moment I arrived, I was greeted with smiles and a helpful check-in process. My room was gorgeous, with a view that made waking up each morning a joy. Everything—from the bedding to the bathroom to the lighting—was designed for comfort and relaxation. The hotel’s amenities were fantastic, including the spa and pool, which I enjoyed thoroughly. Every member of the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made the whole experience feel personal and heartfelt. I felt completely spoiled during my stay and left with wonderful memories.

Yelp
Felt like home away from home. We were graciously welcomed by Margot and Rob AND homemade cranberry chocolate cookies! Rob prepared scrumptious pumpkin pancakes for breakfast. We have only positive thoughts while reflecting on our stay here. Shelley, Sarah and Brittney

Yelp
Fantastic service! And cozy accommodations, in a beautiful setting! Margarete and Rob made us feel right at home. We stayed two nights, and my husband was making plans to return in the fall during breakfast On the first morning. And the breakfast? Simple and delicious. Try the poached eggs on toast. Perfectly done. We will return in the fall, during leaf peeping season. The Ash Street Inn will be our home base for future adventures for sure.

Yelp
A lot of other great reviews are already posted, all for good reason. Two very dedicated owners, Rob & Margit will make your stay like your meeting old friends. We have stayed at quite a few Bed and Breakfast Inn's, none had the many little touches that make you feel so welcomed. In random order; fresh baked cookies, cold soda & water, chips & PowerBar, homemade yogurt, gourmet breakfast, comfortable beds, 2 pillows each, nicely decorated rooms, multiple lights, private bathrooms, plenty of off street parking, and a knowledgeable information source from either host. I would highly recommend the Ash Street Inn, especially for the hotel frequent flyers; it's a refreshing alternative.

Yelp
This place is a MUST! The owners are phenomenal, their hospitality is above and beyond, the rooms are Immaculate, and breakfast was delicious. This place is good for business travelers, couples, and families. The inn is in a great location, quick walk to many restaurants, services, and grocery store.

Yelp
Beautiful house and beautiful rooms. Margit and Rob are amazing hosts and we had such a nice time talking to them while enjoying a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I'll add my accolades to others. I was looking for a place to stay other than Concord and stumbled on this B+B. The interior decorating is attractively funky, as was our ground floor room with the painted ceiling and operating gas fireplace (well, remote controlled by us) for the one chilly morning. Breakfast to order with pleasant conversation from the other tenants and Margie and Rob. As we drove away after two nights I found myself trying to figure out a reason to come back.

Yelp
I stayed at the Ash Street in for 4 days with my boyfriend and it was a home away from home. Rob and Margit are such thoughtful hosts. The room we stayed in was so well kept and our beds were made daily (which is above and beyond for a B&B). There were cookies and treats everyday and guests have access to coffee, teas, hot chocolate, beers and much more. The building itself has so many beautiful details and character and you can tell the hosts takes pride in the place. Breakfast was also 10/10 every morning. They have homemade yogurt and bread! Highly recommend this gem for anyone traveling to Manchester or Concord area in NH.

Yelp
Beautiful place to stay, the owners were great and the food was phenomenal. Everything was fully stocked and well thought out. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice bed and breakfast!

Yelp
Prefect B&B in Manchester. Our hosts were wonderful. So inviting. Eric gave us a tour of the place when we arrived. Our room was nicely appointed, containing a four post bed and gas fireplace. Fresh baked goods are always on hand, from a variety of scones, to oatmeal cookies. They also offer free coffee from a Keurig, with quite a few varieties. Fridge is stocked with soda and water and other goodies, all available to guests. Breakfast is the shining jewel here. Eggs to order. Buttermilk pancakes with warm syrup. Bacon, sausage, toast. Juice and coffee. It was our favorite part and one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. I highly recommend this B&B should you find yourself in Manchester.

Yelp
Ash Street Inn is a class act and very inviting. The bedroom is nicely decorated with complementary WiFi and fire place. The bathroom exceeded my expectations, by far. There are plush robes and towels, makeup washcloths, and a variety of toiletries in case you forget anything. The property is well manicured and upon entry the atmosphere immediately relaxes you. The decor from entry down to spoons seems to have been very carefully chosen. GORGEOUS! There are also jewelry pieces from local artisans and I was able to purchase a beautiful necklace. In the summer months fruit infused ice water sits on the porch for your enjoyment as you take a breather before heading out to explore. Rob and Margit also provide complimentary maps and great tips for things to see. Rob is a trained chef and Margit has been in hospitality from a tender age bcz her family has been for generations. The two of them are perfectly paired and know how to make every guests stay magical. This couple is a class act and #marriagegoals! Looking forward to the return!

Yelp
In this day and time when many innkeepers promise more and deliver less, what a breath of fresh air Ash Street Inn is under the care of Rob and Magit. For a property to distinguish itself from the rest, guest needs and comfort points of service must be anticipated. Granted, the service is "built-into" the cost, however Ash Street Inn accomplishes that. One knows that it was a meaningful stay, when upon returning home reflects back upon and misses the feeling of being cared-for, and appreciated. -Bob & Joy

Yelp
The owners are delightful people. The inn is beautifully decorated and the cozy living room and fireplace were just the thing we needed after our chilly walk. They are a short walk from the art museum as well as restaurants and a brewery. Our delicious breakfast was made to order and there were always snacks (including the homemade cookie of the day) and beverages available. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
We just spent a long weekend at the Ash Street Inn, and it couldn't have been more wonderful! Rob and Margit are fabulous hosts! They anticipated our every need, from a lint roller to the Wall Street Journal to local beers in the fridge. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and Rob cooks a spectacular breakfast...the blueberry pancakes are amazing. The owners are following COVID-19 precautions meticulously, so we felt very safe and cared for. The location is convenient to the Currier Museum and all the great restaurants on Elm Street. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I would highly recommend this place while in Manchester. Eric and his wife are wonderful hosts and the inn is very tastefully and thoughtfully done. I was almost going to give up on staying at B&B's until coming here. The location near the Currier Museum was a big upside.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at the Ash Street Inn for her birthday as we were passing through the area and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. The room was incredibly nice and comfortable and the hosts were very helpful both at the inn and with directions around town. The homemade breakfast and always available coffee and snacks were delicious and a welcome change after a few days of rustic cabining and camping. I don't know when we'll be back in Manchester again, but if we are, we'll definitely be staying here again.

Yelp
Spent a few days at this absolutely charming Inn last weekend. The house itself is gorgeous, all the charm of an old Victorian but with 21 century amenities, super comfy bed, a fireplace in our room and a delicious breakfast! We felt much safer than we would have in a hotel. We really needed a break from all this quarantining and this was the perfect escape. The innkeepers were the perfect combination respectful of privacy yet solicitous. We'll definitely do it again!

Yelp
We stayed five (5) contiguous nights Sept 27 through Oct 1, 2012. We shall return. Here's why. Props Eric and Darlene Johnston) and fascinating guests ensure a world-class experience at Manchester's Ash Street Inn Bed & Breakfast. Count on civility, caring, connectivity, conviviality, convenience, and No Hassle. Add the benefits of 24/7 access to coffee, homemade treats (Just-out-of-the-oven scones upon arrival), and spacious pristine kitchen refrigerator. Sumptuous cooked-to-order breakfasts by Eric himself. No steam tables. Want to add a few of your favorite snacks or chilled beverages? Yes! PS - Bonus: Flawless dining recommendations. Close to Currier Art Museum, a must-see. Got questions? Lettuce know! sQs Delray Beach FL

Yelp
We had a wonderful weekend at a the Ash Street Inn earlier this year. It is a great B&B in the city. Our room was charming and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious.

Yelp
Do not stay at a local chain when you have another option like the Ash Street Inn. I cannot tell you what a pleasure it was to stay here for the night prior to memorial day weekend. I was so blessed to have checked out the Yelp reviews to find this glimmering gem of an establishment. The Inn itself is an Victorian home with a wrap around front porch decorated with stained glass windows and deck seating. The entire place has been remolded in the past few years while maintaining its original charm and heritage with the local community. Our detailed hosts, Eric and his wife, have put a lot of effort into catering to a guests every need. From a freshly cooked breakfast with scones (made to order) , FAST WIFI!!!!!! for those tech savy individuals, or even a loaner umbrella to keep you dry from the rain. The whole atmosphere is one of comfort and refinement supported by all forms of modern conveniences. They couldn't have been more helpful with keeping the light burning for me when I came in late after hours, or pointed me in the right direction when I inquired on the local restaurants and seasonal amusements. Overall, it was hands down one of the best places to come upon for a visit, even for only a night....though in future I hope to be their guest for a lot longer. Thank you for having us!- Carrie & Jon!!!!

Yelp
Thank you Margit and Rob for making our stay unforgettable. Your attention to detail was undeniable and breakfast was delightful.

Yelp
I highly recommend staying at The Ash Street Inn while you're in Manchester! Eric, the owner, couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. I arrived in Manchester on a rather snowy day and my room, number 205, had a gas fireplace, which was perfect on such a cold night. Coffee, tea, water, and homemade baked goods are left out for guests all day. Breakfast was made to order by Eric himself. Good location. Right next to the Currier Museum of Art and a few blocks from Elm Street. Looking forward to visiting again!

Yelp
Its a big Victorian house with a lot of character. Stayed in room 205 for 2 nights. The room is very cute and I loved the bed. The pillows were comfy and the blankets were warm. The bathroom was quite nice and there was free WiFi!! Had to leave early, so they packed the breakfast for you. Very nice touch. And the breakfast was delish!!

Yelp
Don't bother with the local chain hotels - stay here instead. Warm hospitality, big rooms, and unbelieveable breakfast food. The owners have put a lot of thought into anticipating guest needs, and it shows - from the umbrella stand stocked with loaners, lint brushes, homemade scones & cookies, a well-filled snack basket and more - the Ash Street Inn takes hospitality to the next level. And they couldn't be more helpful with transportation suggestions, dining recommendations and great local advice you'd never get from the corporate hotels.

Yelp
What a wonderful gem in Manchester! A beautiful Victorian inn with 5 guest rooms. Rob and Margit greet you warmly and make you feel at home. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. The homemade breakfasts are superb! We will look forward to staying there on our next visit to Manchester!

Amy B.

Yelp
As everyone else has shared, this place is wonderful! The level of detail and care the owners have is amazing. Each morning they create a menu to place your order for breakfast. They even customized the menus to meet the different dietary needs of our group! Each day, they make fresh homemade cookies or muffins, and customized these to our group's preferences. The refrigerator is stocked with all kinds of coffee fillers (from half and half to vegan milks), juices, and beer. They also keep chips, crackers, and mints out throughout the inn. Every detail is taken care of! More importantly, the owners are friendly and fun to chat with, and full of ideas of neat things to do in the area.

Yelp
As an insomniac, I have difficulty enough sleeping at home in familiar surroundings, so, travel can be a nightmare for me, but I advised Rob & Margit of my requirements and they suggested their quietest, darkest room (206) on the second floor, with north-facing windows. The rooms have been well-renovated; retaining the original moldings and windows, while adding a fully-modern bathroom, Wi-fi, satellite TV and central air conditioning. Due to a change in plans, I extended my stay from the original two nights to five, and they did their best to accommodate me over the busy Fourth of July weekend. Did I mention that breakfast is included? This isn't a cheesy continental breakfast or buffet-style service, this is all made to your order: Buttermilk pancakes from scratch (not a mix!), omelets, bacon, sausage, fruit salad, oatmeal plus homemade muffins or scones. (Not having to pay for a full breakfast probably saves you $15?) The fridge is also kept well-stocked with a wide assortment of free beverages, plus a reserved area can be used to keep your own food or drinks chilled. (Possibly another $5 a day saved?) And free admission to the Currier Museum! Another nice touch was the local daily newspaper available (I really hate how USA Today is de rigueur in most hotels.) The new owners are really doing a tremendous job running this place. One note: If you require a quiet room, make sure you get one on the second floor (you can't go just by room number).

Yelp
Lovely B&B in a handsome Queen Anne Victorian located on a large landscaped corner lot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Lovely detailing inside and out, with large bedrooms and baths. Margit and Rob, the hosts, could not be more accommodating, including wonderful breakfasts. No one ever loses weight here. We have stayed at many B&B over the years, and this is among the best.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed in room 205 to celebrate our six-year anniversary in the Manchester area. I spent a good week evaluating various romantic hotels and inns within a 30 miles radius around Manchester, and I finally settled on the Ash Street Inn because of it's proximity to the city, its beautiful looking rooms, and its great reviews both on Yelp and TripAdvisor. ...Man oh man am I happy that we selected this fantastic gem of an inn! Both my boyfriend and myself were taken aback by the beauty of the Inn - from tastefully decorated rooms, to gorgeous common areas, to a well-kept exterior - and we were greeted by Eric, who might just be the most thoughtful Innkeeper there is. Since the booking site asks if anyone in the party has any food allergies, and since I am unfortunately lactose-intolerant and wheat-intolerant, Eric had gluten-free cookies ready for me to eat and showed us where the almond milk and other complimentary goods were in the dinning/kitchen area. We both had a wonderful night's sleep on the very comfortable bed (with the best pillows I've ever slept on), and the fireplace gave the room such a beautiful ambience and warmth, making for a very romantic and intimate stay. The breakfast was equally as well thought-out and presented, and my boyfriend enjoyed a french toast and bacon breakfast while I enjoyed a gluten-free buttermilk pancake breakfast with fruit. We both highly recommend this inn for anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic, elegant and thoughtful stay, and this inn is well worth the price. No hotel could ever come close to the Ash Street Inn.

Yelp
We stayed there this weekend, spent a single night at the Inn. The room was nicely appointed and had everything we needed. The breakfast was great and made to order The owners were quite friendly and spend awhile talking to us about renovating the property an owning an Inn. The B&B is highly recommended and in close proximity to most local attractions. The website photos were accurate and represented the rooms and Inn.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Ash Street Inn as a stopover on the way to a wedding and booked the museum and Zimmerman house package. Eric took care of everything and let us check in early so we didn't have to worry about bags or parking while we headed to the Museum. For less than a chain hotel, you can stay in a charming house that's walking distance to the Currier Museum and the main street of restaurants. Eric and his wife were perfect hosts -- warm and helpful without being intrusive. The house is beautifully maintained and filled with anything you need for a relaxing, comfortable getaway. The rooms are clean and tasteful, with none of the frou frou some bed and breakfasts decorate with. The pantry is stocked with homemade snacks 24/7, which I really appreciated since I was 6 months pregnant. The cooked to order breakfast topped off a wonderful weekend.

Yelp
This was the best experience I have had at a B and B. Stayed for two nights in room 207. It had the most comfortable bed and huge bath towels. It is the perfect mix of modern amenities and cozy charm. The icing on the cake was Erik the innkeeper. He gave us awesome recommendations and cooked us an amazing breakfast. He really caters to the guest and what they want their lodging experience to be. Big plus for all the snacks and outlets to plug in my gadgets. We will return and try to stay in a room downstairs with a fireplace!

Ellen B.

Yelp
Wonderful hospitality! The inn is beautiful with many extra touches for comfort. Rob and Margit are terrific hosts. Definitely recommend Ash Street Inn.

Yelp
i stayed at the ash street inn for 3 nights for work last week. it was wonderful and sooo much better than staying at a chain hotel. free internet, amazing cooked to order breakfast, a comfortable bed, a room that felt like home, and a friendly innkeeper who was always up for chatting. i absolutely loved it and they met my every need as a business traveler, even things i did not think of myself (ie- a lint roller in the bathroom!). i HIGHLY recommend it.

Yelp
Ash Street Inn is a short walk from where many shops are on Elm street but its far enough away to be quiet and quaint. Recently We stayed for our second time here and I have to say it was better than the first mostly because we were there long enough to enjoy it. (Last year we arrived late and left early so we didn't get to enjoy the full hospitality.) Eric, to owner, was very helpful with restaurants and shopping to do, he was very good with breakfast in the morning too. My wife and I came here for our wedding night and again for our one year anniversary and we look forward to coming again next year!

Michael F.

Yelp
A wonderful place to stay. My wife, I, and my 90 year old mother stayed here for one night. The beds were comfy and host, Eric, was great. The breakfast was delightful. Close to downtown dining.

Yelp
Great place to stay! We stopped in Manchester on the way home from a Maine vacation last summer, having had our fill of the coastal tourist spots. The inn is an island of comfort and tranquility for the tired tourist or business traveler. We were extremely well taken care of --and Manchester proved to be a surprisingly interesting stopover. Highly recommended.
