Ashanti Lodge Gardens

A nice guesthouse with several ensuite bedrooms and a communal kitchen, where I prepared every breakfast. A big grocery store, Checkers, is a five minute walk away and so are the bars and activities of Kloof street but the guesthouse itself is quiet and secure. It's not shiny and modern but is clean and well maintained. The main building is a 2 min walk away and has a small pool I didn't use, and helpful staff in the office, also a small cafe. Great for groups or as a solo like myself. Easy to meet and talk to people if you wish, in the communal lounge with pool table. About a 20 min walk into the hop on/off bus on long street or a 45 Rand Uber.

Very good location safe and secure. The owners very good and kind people. Rooms are clean, but the people working from the reception are very rude and dishonest. They treat clients badly. Instead of guiding clients properly when there is an issue they collude to do something wrong and make a customer look stupid and they don’t care whatsoever.

Perfectly situated in the CBD of Cape Town, just below Table Mountain, Ashanti Gardens Lodge was ideal for me as a bikepacker. My private room had everything I needed, including two towels, and the communal areas were spacious and welcoming.||The staff were friendly, approachable, and always ready to provide advice or answer any questions. I particularly enjoyed breakfast on the 2nd floor—great views and excellent value for money. The lodge also offers a safe place to store your bike, which is a huge plus.||Overall, a fantastic stay, and I would definitely recommend Ashanti Gardens Lodge to anyone visiting Cape Town. Its a chilled and surprisingly safe place ,peaceful are nice and respectful, for the price its definitely 5 star all the way

It's a bit far from the waterfront and not that many cafes and restaurants nearby but I was impressed by the security. The staff seemed inexperienced (were they new ?). All I got was a quick cursory introduction of the room and left to it. The single room was just acceptable for one night. Shared shower and toilet down the hall was clean. In the end I suppose it reflected its price.

I had a lovely stay here. The Ashanti Lodge is very scenic and colorful with great views! The room was clean and comfortable and I felt I had everything I needed. For a backpackers accommodation it is of a very nice and clean standard like a hotel room (I had my own room). It was also very cheap and great value for money. Staff were also friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
