Ashbrooke Hotel

My husband and I try to stay at the Ashbrooke when vacationing in a door County. Sometimes it’s booked for our dates, but we just think, ‘Good for them’. Rooms are lovely. A view of 42 is great o love watching the cars go by. We didn’t visit the pool. Plenty of parking. Definitely check their availability when vacationing in Door County.

Can't say enough good things about the Ashbrooke Hotel in Egg Harbor. Fred and his family have put their utmost attention to detail. Clean, quiet, friendly environment. Looking for to booking again. Thanks for a great week.

Although this place looks delightful from the outside The Signature|Room ($250.00 night) had a few unpleasant surprises. One was a plethora of red ants on the eating table and in the bathroom near the shower. We contacted the front desk, she offered to spray poison to kill them or give the poison to us to take care of the situation which we thought was unacceptable. |They basically told us that this happens because of the time of year we booked are stay. Umm…Okay… |Also the complementary bathroom toiletries were used(not by us) and never replaced and squeegee to clean shower thrown on floor and the to tissue box was low. Now this may seem like extremely picky kind of stuff however, paying attention to the finer details goes a long way especially when spending that kind of money for a nightly hotel stay.

I heard phenomenal things about this resort. Unfortunately, they canceled my reservation less than three weeks before our stay… anyone who travels frequently knows that’s not an adequate amount of time to make other arrangements ESPECIALLY during a peek season weekend. They didn’t offer any sort of accommodations for future. Very disappointed in how they handled this situation. Do not book this resort—especially if you are staying for an important event. They will cancel with little notice and zero accommodations.

We have been coming here for the last 5 years. We absolutely love it. It is so clean the rooms are wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly. I do wish there was some fruit for breakfast instead of just the muffins in yogurt. But it's very nice that they offer a small breakfast because a lot of hotels don't. We just love it here. I definitely would recommend. Also the nice thing is there's no kids so if you're wanting to get away for a quiet stay this is a place to go.

We had an amazing dining experience at The Ashbrook. The ambience, crafted cocktails, and meal were exceptional. Our server added to the perfection of the evening. A must visit in Frankfort!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely property. Our grande suite - and the public areas - were spotless and the grounds are immaculate. Staff were friendly and helpful. The large indoor pool and spa looked enticing, but we didn’t make use of them. ||This was our first visit to Egg Harbor and we appreciated the central location to other towns and hiking trails. Very nice market in town, and many restaurants from which to choose. We appreciated the “adults-only” enviornment; even though our suite faced Egg Harbor Road, it was very quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. For those who commented that it was pricey, I believe that you get what you pay for. |Loved everything about the Ashebrooke Hotel!

I booked a 3 day vacation June 2024 at the grand whirlpool suite. It was absolutely amazing and worth every penny. It was the nicest hotel I have ever been to in my life! The amenities were amazing. My fiancé and I enjoyed the massive pool. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck drinking wine by the fire. The only thing I wish this place had was maybe room service. With a hotel this grand, I was surprised they didn’t. Also maybe having a better breakfast for the guests. Other than that, it was amazing! And I will definitely be coming back!

This hotel is everything I hoped for and more! The location to everything in Egg Harbor is amazing - the only downside was the construction affecting businesses being open, but certainly temporary. I absolutely loved Ashbrooke and can't wait to go back! We met some great people at the fires at night, the pool and gym did the trick, the staff were so lovely, and call me crazy but the smell in the hallways was phenomenal! I loved our experience. Thank you Ashbrooke!

I love this place, very clean and well managed. Good customer service. Great amenities with nice pool. They offer pastry and coffee for breakfast at their front desk.

Very clean and quiet. Beautiful rooms and wall hangings. Serene environment. Comfortable beds and seating. Love that it is adults only so we could relax and enjoy ourselves without kids running around. All around designed for adult relaxation. Would definitely return.

This was such a cute hotel to stay in. Updated rooms felt spacious and cozy. Nice pool/hot tub area that connects to an outside area where they light the fire pit at night. The room/bathroom were both very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds have many places like swings and a gazebo where you can just relax and enjoy the view. We would stay here again and recommend to anyone coming to this area.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary in 2016 and 2021. We liked it both times. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The indoor pool area was nice. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave that was good for a three night stay. There's no restaurant in the hotel, so do a search online before you come to plan your meals. Some of the restaurants in Door County were closed and others had a two hour wait for a table. (Looking at you Al Johnson's).... Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and are planning to come back in 2026!

It's an ok hotel as long as you don't mind not sleeping. The air conditioner is so freakin noisy my husband I couldn't even talk to each other! It was like sleeping in a factory. Two choices; cook without air or go deaf and not sleep. It's really bad!!

First time staying here. The check in experience is pleasant. The person at the front desk was friendly. We received our keys and headed to the room. Upon entering the smell of perfume or something strong like that was overwhelming. The room was very clean but I wouldn't say it was modern, just very plain and traditional. It was very spacious and nice amenities. The bed was comfortable. My husband swam in the pool and it was a very nice space and the outside patio was nice as well. If you are looking for a spacious suite, this one has a good location and lots of space.

My wife and I stayed at the Ashbrooke while in town for the Egg Harbor Ale Fest. We had an awesome experience. The staff was very nice and friendly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We stayed in one of their Grand Whirlpool suites. After walking around in Egg Harbor, it was nice to be able to sit in the whirlpool in our room. The suite came with a king sized bed, a separate living room and a bathroom. It also had a refrigerator and a coffee maker with coffee. In the morning you could find fresh muffins and doughnuts in the hotel lobby. One of the main things that attracted us to this place was the fact that it's adults only. They have a patio with a fire pit outside and a swimming pool and hot tub inside. We enjoyed our experience so much, that we booked the room in advance for next year.

My husband and I just spent three nights here. We found the room to be clean and comfortable. We liked the little outdoor sitting area attached to our room. The grounds and pool were nice too. A special shout out to Kay at the front desk, who brought a cribbage board from home for us to use when she heard we forgot ours. Way above and beyond! All staff members were very nice. The hotel is in a great location. We loved being able to walk around town and get to shops and restaurants and not have to worry about parking. Great spot!

My husband and I stayed at the Ashbrooke Inn while on vacation for our 10th anniversary. He had one of the whirlpool suites that had a fire place and a king size bed. The room was like brand new. Soft carpets and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I loved that it was adults only, but did feel that I was one of the youngest there. The grounds were beautifully kept. It was also nice to sit but the fire pit and meet new friends. The staff was very nice, very helpful with suggestions on restaurants that were good in the area. (which I don't think there is a bad one ) We have decided that when we return to Door County we will return to the Ashbrooke inn. Thank you for a wonderful few days in Door County.

My husband and I stayed at the Ashbrooke when we were in town for the Egg Harbor Ale Fest. We had a fantastic experience! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. After a long day of walking around in Door County, it was really nice to be able to utilize the whirlpool. The suite came with a king sized bed, a separate living room and a spacious bathroom. It also had a refrigerator and a coffee maker with coffee. One of the main things that attracted us to this place was the fact that it's adults only. My husband and I are childless by choice, and it was so nice to be able to stay in a hotel that didn't have screaming kids running around. They have a lovely patio with a fire pit outside and a swimming pool and hot tub inside. After our stay, we decided that we will try to stay here whenever we come to Door County in the future. In fact, we have already put our names down on the list for next year, for when we come to the ale fest again.

This is one of our favorites places to stay in Door County. We come because it is a child free Inn and we like the location. This is our third visit and we stay in the same room each time. They have made some updates to the property in the past few years which is nice. It serves us well, it's comfortable and we enjoy the quiet. I do wish the cancellation policy was more flexible. We will definitely return!

Another fantastic stay at the Ashbrooke I would highly recommend this property. The pool and hot tub for adults only. Coffee and rolls in the morning are high quality's. The rooms are very quiet and everything is top notch. A nice peaceful getaway for you and your spouse.

We stayed in the "French Country Suite" at The Ashbrooke for a long weekend in mid-August. The suite was on the second floor, with a spectacular view of the parking lot (as parking lots go, it's very nice). There's lot of space, which is nice, and the bed is comfortable. Large flat-screen tv over the gas fireplace. The room was clean, with decor reminding me of a Wingate Inn circa 1999... lots of blonde wood. I'm not big on decor, though,so it's not going to make or break a stay for me. Besides, finding truly modern decor in Door County like what you would find at a W Hotel or an Andaz is just not going to happen. The bathroom is nice and big. The shower is fine, though it seems to be designed for people shorter than 5'3". The gazebo on the grounds is very picturesque. A note of warning: This hotel is not optimal for people with disabilities. I don't know if there are rooms that are ADA compliant, and I didn't see an elevator or an automatic door-opener (but that doesn't mean they weren't there). I had to haul our luggage up the stairs, which might be a challenge for older guests. I saw on another review website that people were complaining about the muffins available in the lobby. I didn't try the muffins, because I feel like breakfast is something that restaurants in Door County take pride in, and to not take advantage is a mistake. The Village Cafe is a three minute walk down the road. What do you need muffins for? Overall, this was a pleasant and comfortable place to stay, and I'd recommend it for people who value modern amenities like free wi-fi and a flat-screen tv. I'd probably come back, given the opportunity.

My husband and I, along with my parents, recently had a nice stay at The Ashbrooke during a long weekend in Egg Harbor. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Very convenient location. And the morning coffee and cider donuts were awesome!

What a pleasant surprise! Found this place for a last minute get away. It was a great value and will be our favorite spot from now on. Convenient location, comfortable and clean. Nice pool and grounds.

We really enjoyed our honeymoon stay here at The Ashbrooke (10.10.16-10.15.16). The staff was wonderful and very friendly. Our honeymoon suite was warm and inviting and they even had a bottle of chilled champagne for us! We will definitely be visiting again! Thank you.

My Sweetheart and I came up to celebrate her birthday, of the many places I have stayed in Door County, this is definitely in the top three. I feel my opinion is very strong as I travel every week on business and have stayed in numerous fine hotels. The staff is very polite and accommodating, the suite was fabulous, the adult only policy is very nice, and the price was good. Great place, great service, and will be back again.

We really enjoyed our recent 2 night stay. It was fantastic that the Ashbrooke did not require a minimum stay during the height of the summer season. Using a pool and spa without kids screaming and running around was wonderful!

Me and my husband stayed at Ashbrooke August 26th to August 29th. We loved every moment we reserved a King Suite on the second floor. We read alot of reviews complaining about the stairs but it didnt bother us at all we are both in our 20's and there is a total of about 12 steps give or take a few. The pool and sauna area were extremely clean. The hotel is so quiet WE LOVED IT ALL. We plan on coming back next summer I can not begin to explain how lovely this place is. The rooms are huge bed is sooooo comfy everything is very clean. Id give the ASHBROOKE 100 STARS IF I COULD :)

Grounds seem nice and well kept. Rooms seem dated. Beds are terribly hard. Would not stay again. Great location.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at Ashbrooke. We stayed in a Grand Suite on the second floor. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. They provide free wifi, in-room coffee maker, and coffee and muffins in the lobby each morning. I have seen reviewers complaining about the muffins - it's not a "breakfast" folks, it's a muffin and coffee. For us, who are not big breakfast eaters, it was a perfect start to the morning and enabled us to avoid a stop to pick something up before getting our day started. The best thing about this hotel was that it is Adults Only. It was very peaceful and quiet. The next best thing was the cleanliness and timely maid service. No coming back to an uncleaned room here. There are no in-room safes, which I typically use if they are available, so that would be a suggestion for improvement to the owners. It would also be nice to have a throw available in the living room, since it's a nice place to cozy up. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, about a 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. This didn't bother us because we liked getting the exercise and it added to thetranqulity of the place. For us though, the the town of Egg Harbor was just a little too slow, and didn't have the selection of dining and pub options that we prefer (with the exception of Parador where we ate 4 out of 5 nights!) so next time we will probably stay in Fish Creek which has a little more action going on.

My husband and I stayed at The Ashbrooke for the Labor Day weekend. We had a whirlpool suite which was terrific. The people were wonderful and don't miss the coffee in the office. it is fantastic. It is an adults only hotel so it was quiet and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel is centrally located for visiting the other towns in Door County. The indoor pool is very inviting as is the sauna. Bring a bathing suit.
