If you’re in Doha and love authentic coffee experiences, Asherg Coffee is truly a hidden gem. Located right in the heart of Souq Waqif, this place has the perfect combination: strong, rich Turkish coffee and one of the best views in the Souq. The coffee is intense, aromatic, and perfectly brewed — thick, bold, and served the traditional way. You can really taste the quality. It’s one of those places where the first sip makes you pause and smile. What makes it even better is the atmosphere. Sitting outside, overlooking the traditional buildings of the Souq, watching people pass by, feeling that warm Doha evening breeze — it’s a whole vibe. Peaceful but lively at the same time. And yes… it’s almost always full 😋 That alone tells you everything. Locals love it, visitors love it — it’s one of those spots that everyone keeps coming back to. If you want authentic Turkish coffee with a view and that special Souq energy, Asherg Coffee is definitely the place.

I had a disappointing experience at Ashrg Hotel due to the way I was treated by a staff member. During my visit, the staff member raised their voice and spoke to me in an unprofessional manner, which made me feel uncomfortable and disrespected. I believe customer service should always be respectful and courteous, even when dealing with difficult situations. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, looks into what happened, and provides additional customer service training to ensure all guests are treated with professionalism and respect. Based on my experience, the quality of service did not meet my expectations.

We found this lovely café by chance while walking near the market in Doha. We noticed a beautiful terrace with plenty of shade and decided to stop for a snack. The gentleman who served us was kind and helped us choose from the menu. We ordered three watermelon juices, and my husband chose a different fresh fruit juice. They were all absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we needed on a hot afternoon. He also recommended something for us to eat, and it was just as good. A wonderful little discovery with great service and a relaxing atmosphere.

A restaurant with a strong Arab vibe that blends perfectly into the souq atmosphere. It’s quite spacious with both terrace seating and a second floor. Inside, the seating features traditional Arab style red sofa benches which really add to the vibe. They offer a good variety of light meals and drinks. Just a heads up grilled meats are only available from the evening. The beef burger was delicious. Highly recommended if you want to experience traditional Arab vibes in the souq.

I was very disappointed with my experience. The manager’s attitude was unprofessional and dismissive when I raised a concern. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, they were rude and made me feel unwelcome. Good customer service starts with respectful communication, and unfortunately, that was missing.

I visited Asherg today. The food was average and reasonably good, but the customer service was very disappointing. The biggest issue was the upstairs manager. His behavior was unprofessional and unwelcoming. I noticed that he treated female customers politely and with respect, but his attitude toward male customers was noticeably different and not acceptable. Good food alone is not enough. Every customer deserves the same level of respect and service, regardless of gender. I hope the management addresses this issue and improves their customer service.

There's one person there wearing white uniform and without a hair whose serving on our table, he's freaking rude. He did this to us twice, talking to us without a manners, his making a joke like we're not going to pay. And when we told him "don't think like that brother we are not joking here" and he's almost got mad on us. Please teach him some manners.

Honestly this place did not really quite impress me yet it ticked all the boxes, as the experience was satisfactory, service was alright not too slow not too quick. Portions are decent and the seats were comfortable enough, perhaps my biggest issue was how difficult it is there to get the attention of the staff members at the place which made me stuggles sometimes.
