Gorgeous waters and crazy hot, great if you want to be camping with a gas station a short drive away

The area we stayed at was 2 miles past East Park, which is about 40 miles from Vernal Ut. 30 miles to Flaming Gorge. It was super green and lots of pine trees!! A very good area for OHV Trails, Mountain Biking, Horses, lots of lakes to Kyack or paddle board, hiking or just enjoying nature!! Spent a month in our RV boondocking. campgrounds are really close for water and dumping 😁. Lots to do!

A great place to get away and enjoy Public land. October is absolutely beautiful. There's 1 drawback tho. That's all of the lazy road hunters during rifle season. They are rude. Besides them, it's a great get away.

Camped and went adventuring throughout the area for 4 days. The bathrooms at our camp ground were checked in on every other day with more paper and emptied trashed. Really appreciated the reminders posted for people to put the seats down to keep the rooms vented

I spent a very long time up on this mountain and it is very beautiful all seasons , I worked all around there , also an avid hunter and fisherman, and love to hike.

Absolutely stunning. Camping in late June we did experience sunny and warm, rain, hail, and woke to a half inch of snow. I would recommend preparing well for all possibilities as the elevation is high and the weather fluctuates a great deal. Location is very close to the Dinosaur National Park and about 20 minutes to a town equipped with dumping and shopping. We had no problem at all finding a site which was large enough for multiple large campers and 4 tents. There are many bathrooms available that were decently kept. Campsites had fire rings but were otherwise very authentic and right with nature. Stream close by was fast this year and we had to keep a close eye o kids but it made for very relaxing nature sounds to sleep by.

We hunted the South Slope Yellowstone unit of the Ashley National Forest and had an excellent adventure traveling the roads via our UTV and hitting the mountainsides on foot! What a great place for outdoor recreation! The area is abundant with wildlife and offers fantastic photography and hunting opportunities. Multiple access locations give options to view the varied terrain.

We took a stop to Red Canyon in Ashley National Forest! What a magnificent view! It was hard to leave! Watching the boat below was neat. I highly recommend stopping!
