Ashley's Island House

We stayed in the Carriage House this past weekend and I can't say enough. The accommodations were good and the host was so gracious and knowledgeable. We met quests, enjoyed watching our host play in the softball game with the Team from the Roundhouse, spending time on the porch and enjoyed the distillery. We had such a great time we booked again for next year. Dave also serves a great breakfast!

What a fantastic stay at Ashley's Island House! Super welcoming atmosphere! Full of gracious charm! The room is beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful, and we enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening and chatting with Dave, Laurie, and the other guests. Dave can give tips on where to go, where to dine, and Put-in-Bay info. It was our first time to the island, and we are looking at our schedules to make reservations for next summer!

This was our first visit to Put In Bay in many years. The trip was for a friend and her birthday get away. We could not have picked a better place!. The rooms and accommodations were beyond any of my expectations. Very clean rooms, the whole house had such a homey atmosphere; but my best was the full length of the house front porch. Just brought some good old memories and so enjoyable to sit and watch people go by. Everyone was so friendly. The home is so centrally located that it makes for an easy walk to restaurants, shops and just all that is going on. We opted to do a golf cart due to our age group. The owner Dave gave us so much good information on what to see and where to get our best meals - and he wasn't wrong. Fabulous food and great shops. We booked another stay for next year and already looking forward the the stress free days!! Great place to just sit back and relax or fill your day with fun things to do. Short walk to the marina which is always alive with people, boats and just the beauty of the water. A lovely get away and so close to many attractions.

We stayed at Ashley’s Island House August 14-16, 2024. We had an amazing time! We loved everything about Ashley’s, but Dave was a gem in telling us all the things we needed to know to make our experience perfect. By the end of the first day we were wishing we’d booked an extra day. We made the best of our two full days and will be back. The breakfast he provides is a great start to your day. You could walk to many of the places, but do yourself a favor and rent a golf cart from Dave and tour the island. We visited as a group of 12 friends and are already talking about a return trip. We had so much fun visiting all the sights, eating at the various yummy restaurants, and did a lot of bar hopping at such fun places. Dave will help you even figure out how to get there from the ferry, and the ferry to his charming bed and breakfast. And don’t forget to take a few minutes to enjoy his lovely front porch!

Ashley’s Island House a gorgeous older home turned into a Bed and Breakfast. It’s close to all of the shops, restaurants, and bars in town. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and are always stocked with necessary toiletries. Breakfast is delicious, and very convenient! The deck is large and has comfortable seating. It’s a great space to relax with friends old and new. Dave is an incredibly friendly and accommodating host, and we love staying here every year for Pirate weekend!

Dave was literally thee nicest man!!! My husband and I got stuck on the island after missing the ferry. After we tried checking into another few places, (who were actually quite rude...) we came across Dave and the Ashley Island House.... BOY, am I glad we did! Lovely location! Quiet, comfortable rooms. The house makes you feel like you are staying with Grandma for the weekend. Neat, organized, and accommodating to say the least! Dave even makes breakfast! Huge spread!!! Thank you from the bottom of of heart, Dave for saving our night!!! ❤️‍🩹🩷💯 We will DEFINITELY be back!

We stayed at Ashley's island house for a weekend for our anniversary! We were told they had a great breakfast which was one of the reasons we booked this house. We stayed in the bird room, it was clean and spacious. Dave was very personable, and made us feel at home! The location is walking distance from downtown and we didn't need to rent a golf cart on our stay but he did have the cheapest carts on the island! The beds were very comfy and we slept great! We will definitely be back when we come to put in bay again!

We had friends from Missouri that had never been to Lake Erie or Put-In-Bay. Dave, the owner, was wonderful to our group! We were warmly welcomed from the time we arrived until we left. The Victorian Home is cozy. The front porch, so inviting, bedrooms are cozy, flowers are beautiful and fragrant, and the breakfast buffet is varied with plenty to eat.
