If you’re a pinot / chardonnay fan, Burgundy swayed in your taste, Ashton Hills is the spot for you in South Australia. Their wines are sourced from their own vineyards and from other local growers. Wines are always deliciously complex yet easy to drink, well crafted, and they always speak of place. Cellar door staff are fun and knowledgeable and it’s a top spot to relax with a glass and some snacks.

Great tasting experience of quality wines. And 2 lovely dogs to keep you company (Shelby and Floyd) 😁. Well worth a visit

Great wines and service in a very picturesque setting. They specialise in pinot noir, and it's fruity with something unique, perhaps an earthiness. The chardonnay was surprisingly light and very sippable. Looking forward to the cheese platter next time.

Been in a couple of times and always had a great experience. Wines are fantastic, particularly their vast range of Pinots. Great outlook over the vineyards and a cute little pup running around definitely adds to it. Tasting fee is reasonable for the amount served. Mitch was fantastic and very knowledgeable

I came here expecting something, anything, to do with Ashton Hall. He’s a well-known Black influencer with a massive following, and I assumed the name "Ashton Hall" meant he was somehow connected to the space, maybe through branding, visuals, design influence, or even just a nod to his identity. But no. Nothing. Not a photo. Not a quote. Not a mention. Not a single ounce of recognition. It’s honestly insulting. Why slap his name on the front door if he’s got nothing to do with it? It feels like the place is cashing in on his popularity and identity just to draw people in. That’s not just misleading, it’s exploitative. Using a Black influencer’s name as a marketing tactic without any real involvement or representation is wrong. It’s performative branding at its worst. Black creators deserve more than to have their names used as empty bait for clout. This is exactly why people call out fake allyship and corporate exploitation. If you're going to name a space Ashton Hall, show some respect. Acknowledge the man, celebrate his work, or at the very least don’t pretend he’s involved if he’s not. One star. Nothing authentic about this.

Away for the weekend with friends, dropped in for tastings on a Friday afternoon, we were told they were weren’t serving tastings anymore but were doing us a favour by letting us stay. We walked out. Not worth it!!!!

Beautiful, cozy setting with a fireplace and view of the winery. The sparkling rose was amazing. Our favourite winery of the trip!

Great tasting experience. $10 for 6-7 wines. Redeemable for 2 bottles purchased. Very nice wines, a few 94+ Halliday ratings. We were on the outdoor special table which was actually nice

Yelp
What a nice surprise. No touring cars, just honest wines served in a shed next to where the grapes are grown. Loved the pinots and eventhe sparkling shiraz. Definitely great local boutique wine that focuses on australian market at affordable prices.

Yelp
Arguably the best Pinot Noir in the State. True, the winery is pretty basic and rustic but its all about the wine.

Yelp
I have visited and enjoyed Ashton Hills Wines by Stephen George over the last 20 years. Stephen is the consummate artisan winemaker who has made his vision for top quality Australian wines, particularly Pinot, a reality. Even though visitors to the Cellar Door might find the rustic charm a little "yesterday" in this modern world of huge corporate backed companies in the wine world, the "proof is in the ...drinking!" Thanks Stephen George for keeping true to your vision and giving us Aussies quality wines at affordable prices. JG

Yelp
Rude and unfriendly. Signage is bad, hard to find. The 2012 Pinot reserve is pretty good. Expensive at 60$.
