Visited the Asia-Africa Conference Museum with my child and appreciated the educational concept at first. Children were given an activity sheet and told they could exchange it for a small reward after completing it. My child followed the guide attentively, completed all the stickers, and was genuinely excited.
At 2:50 PM, we tried to redeem the reward and were told it was not allowed because the building was “already closed” — even though the official closing time is 3:00 PM. No flexibility, no explanation, no effort to honor what was promised.
For a museum that represents history, values, and education, this sends the wrong message — especially to children. Educational spaces should model fairness and responsibility, not technical excuses. Disappointing execution.
Update: After this review, museum management contacted me directly, arranged for the gift to be given immediately, and followed up internally with their security team. I appreciate the prompt response and accountability shown afterward.
However, this update reflects a post-incident correction, not the initial experience. Clearer coordination on-site would prevent similar situations, especially for child-focused educational activities.
