It’s a decent Asian mall, the grocery store has plenty of Asian ingredients, but not all of them but most of them that you need to put together and flavorful Asian dishes. And down the hall there’s a couple of restaurants. I don’t remember the name of the one at the end, but it has very delicious foods, pho And many other dishes and soups ban mi sandwiches ,friendly service, flavorful teas . and drinks. The ingredients in the picture was purchased at the Asian grocery store in this mall..

If you're looking for unique foods, this is a great place for it. But definitely careful what you buy. I personally don't trust anything frozen. You can definitely feel the freezers are not keeping temp.

Google
food poisoned my girlfriend with their freezer dumplings. Their power went out or something a couple weeks back and she found out the hard way that they let everything sit at room temp and refreeze. Do not come here

This is not really a mall that we used to. It has two Vietnamese restaurants, one Thai restaurant and a supermarket. There are some empty stores. The most popular place is the supermarket. It quite large for the area and carries lots more items than others that I have visited. It's conveniently located near the highway with easy access. I am surprised to find that they also have a BBQ store inside selling Chinese style BBQ pork and BBQ duck. I tried the pork and it's quite good. The ducks look very good too but I have yet to try them. The prices for them are very reasonable. However, the store has limited food items from Hong Kong.

I always look forward to stopping by here! They've got a great assortment of Asian groceries. I go for the kimchi and freshly-made balut.

Yelp
No kidding when it is called mall. This place is huge. It contains all you need on Asian cuisine, the place is stocked well and have ample parking in front that is shared. As you enter the store, grab a cart, and you will find grocery utensils, fresh veggies, and a freezer aisle. The place looks busy with a lot of folks shopping here and the prices are reasonable. I was able to get the spices I was looking for. The lines could get busy but worked well for me.

Yelp
The Asia Mall is right off the 13th St. Exit of 83. It's a collection of a few eateries, a "spa" and an Asian Market. Don't be intimidated by the crazy parking lot! It seems completely improvised by the people. Any lines painted on the ground are merely guidelines. Kanlaya Thai has been there forever and it's fantastic. The Vietnamese pho place seems to change hands and name every other year or so. I just dined, for the first time, at New Orleans Po Boy and I am OBSESSED. Seriously, I've had 4 bahn mi in 5 days. It looks sketchy by the food is AMAZING. Yes, in capital letters!!!! The food market at the end is baffling, and cool, and smells a little weird but they have every kind of Asian noodle imaginable, all types of snacks and candy. There's an aisle and a half of Ramen! There's cookware and dishes and cooking tools crazy cheap. I was able to get spices and sauces I needed to make recipes from the Chrissy Tiegen Cravings cookbooks. There's a meat and seafood area. In the small produce area they had whole durian, the most amazing varieties of mushrooms I have ever seen, fruits, herbs, gorgeous vegetables. The organization of the store seems haphazard to me but maybe I just don't understand it. The cashiers are SUPER FAST. I stood in a long line on a Saturday afternoon but when it was my turn, the cashier zipped through my full basket of items in, like 30 seconds. It is worth a trip just to get some snacks and candy.

Yelp
I was searching for some Vietnamese spices to do Pho at home, after searching other places, we found this mall and has a big Asian supermarket store has a variety products from China, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, India, and other Asian countries. I found more stuff that I was looking for I got some tea from Taiwan and China :), my Vietnamese spices for Phö and its rice noddles, This store has fresh vegetable and fruit, fresh fish, frozen food and canned. definitely coming back my trip was worthy coming from Hanover (York County). This mall has restaurants, bakery, beauty supply store, income tax services inside of the building; Public bathroom available inside and spacious parking lot.

Yelp
Not a great shopping experience in the grocery store because it looks dreary and old in there, but it will do. I ran out of oyster sauce, which I bought from here today. The prices for sauces and frozen dim sum are good. Some of the sweet snacks are over priced. We also ordered carry out from the New Orleans Po Boy, which was good and we've eaten at the Thai and other Viet restaurant down the hall. This mall is basically deserted. More businesses need to come and people will come here from near and far just like Eden in Falls Church, Virginia. Landscaping needs to be updated and new asphalt poured onto the lot. I wish a Korean bakery would come here too.

Yelp
I'm reviewing the market portion of this mall, which is located at the end of this strip mall. The Asian market is very big and offers a large variety of items from different regions of Asia. Philippines, japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thai- are represented in this market through the items they have available. Their seafood market was impressive as they offered several types of seafood: live ones (fish and crab), frozen ones, fresh ones (squid, Cuttle fish, pompano, etc!). They also have cuts of meat that you don't normally find in a regular grocery store. Their produce selection also offers a great variety. I would recommend this place if you're needing to try something different or want to expand your culinary skills and experiment with Asian flavors. They will probably have what you need to elevate your Asian dishes!

Yelp
Had such a great time exploring and buying many specialized foods and spices. We were looking for a special marinade and found it!

Yelp
Went to the Asian Market for the first time today. Very happy to find fresh Chinese Broccoli, Dwarf Bok Choi and many other fresh greens. They have a vast array of noodles, teas and canned goods. The freezer section includes a nice selection of dumplings and noodle rolls. The fresh and frozen fish selection was wide. I will be back.

Yelp
My husband and I were blown away by their options at the market. We could of shopped for hours there. We cook nothing but asian style and this place had the ingredients and the fresh fish, vegetables and fruits! Our kids cant wait to go with us next time because they too, are in depth with asian culture cooking and prefer the asian snacks. Absolutely awesome and the NICEST people.

Yelp
II think there are only 4 stores in this mall K&H supermarket This is your typical Asian store. Dirty, disorganized, and questionable, but I can't complain since it is cheaper to buy Asian products here compared to Giant. Even some of their fresh Asian vegetables like bean sprouts and bok choy are cheap! The store is stocked with different kinds of sauces, packages, noodles, frozen won-ton and egg roll wrappers, duck eggs, pots and pans, and frozen meat/fish along with fresh (?) not frozen meat. One thing about this mall that I do like is that they have live fish--not sure about fresh. They don't have that in Lancaster. The main problem that I run into is that I can't see which fish I want because (A) the tank is over crowded or (B) the water is cloudy. I then tell the guys ( who speak very little English) that I want a healthy one that doesn't look like its going to die. They never understand what I am talking about so I shake my head no and put my head to the side with my tongue sticking out (in hopes they knew how to play charades---that I did not want a dead fish that may be in the tank). It works! Some of the fish that I've seen in the tank were bloody and half alive. On the weekends, I noticed that they had duck as well. It made me miss Chinatown in New York! This mall may not be the best Asia market I've ever been to, but its better than some in the area. New Orleans PO Boy (on the left, right in front of K&H facing the mall) good/modern Vietnamese food. I'm addicted to their bahn mi--especially the grilled pork and beef. They have a special buy 5 get 1 free. Price ranges from 4.00 to 5.00 for a bahn mi. The only complaint I have is that they are never consistent. Sometimes the meat is dry, not seasoned well, or the subs are skimpy....the other times its worth the money. You can eat in or take out. Nice big screen tv to watch. Clean restaurant, friendly staff. Kanlaya Thai( All the way down the hall, opposite of K&H, on the left) Thai restaurant with awesome smoothies!! I absolutely love their avocado smoothie. There was a point in time during the summer, where we were ordering their smoothies almost every day. The ingredients are fresh and not out of a box. The price of their food is about the same as anywhere else, maybe a dollar cheaper. I love drunken noodles, but this place didn't wow me with their food. Its not bad, but the flavors are so much better elsewhere, Pho Pasteur- (right across from Kanlaya Thai) I've never eaten here, but I do see that its always busy. The only thing I've ever ordered was their bahn-mi sandwiches. I did not care for their subs. It was fishy tasting and the meat didn't look like what it was supposed to. Other than that, I hear they have really good pho and Vietnamese food!

Yelp
Heard about the Asia Mall from my favorite thai restaurant. . Went to check them out and found a shop which sells so many asian goods - mostly from china, korea, vietnam, japan etc. They sell fresh jackfruit! I haven't seen one of those in years..didn't know they are available anywhere in US! They sell Duck eggs - never tried them or seen them in this area anywhere. They also sell live fish. There are few tanks with variety of fish - which had clean water in them and all fish inside looked good. They also sell more variety of fish 'on ice'. There were several patrons in this area, so it is a popular item. You select what you want and then ask them to clean and cut it for you. Last time I saw a place selling live fish was in Austin, Texas at a Mexican store. They also sell Mexican mangoes - different brand, better tasting and bigger size than the ones available in the local Indian store. I'm not sure why the Indian store does not carry this brand. They are only available on Saturdays. Once, I went during middle of the week and was informed to come back on Saturday. I would have given them 5 star rating for the unique stuff they sell. But the store has a strong smell of fish (due to large amounts they sell). This smell can put off certain people who don't like fish.

Yelp
Asia Mall has (in my opinion) the best Asian grochery store in Harrisburg. There are also eateries in the same complex as well. The grocery there though always has the best stock of Asian foods and I can get all my shopping done there in one stop.

Yelp
We went to buy some fresh fish so it was pretty much in and out for us. Scene is interesting with assorted meats and foods. I definitely will be back to try out a few of the different restaurants in the mall. I never like the smell in these fish markets so that justifies the 4 stars. Go check it out its alot of cultural suggestions for everyday life.

Yelp
Lately I've been getting into a lot of Korean things. Korean shows, Korean music, Korean celebrities... that also means Korean food. So I was happy to find a place that sold good kimchi and was relatively close to Middletown. The kimchi was really good. It's not like I can only find that brand in Asia Mall, but it's the closest place. Along with the kimchi, I also purchased a pack of strawberry biscuits, but they tasted a little stale when I ate them at home. Some of the items don't really look all that fresh, but Asia Mall is huge and has a lot of stuff, so if you're looking for some Asian goodies to stock up on and you're close to the area, I guess this is the place to go.

Yelp
This place has EVERYTHING! Great fish selection, meats, frozen items, great vegetable selection. I loved my first experience checking the place out. I'd give it a look see on my own before you think it's only rated 3 stars.

Yelp
Since I have arrived in PA, I have been searching for a supermarket that sells live fish. I have searched long and hard, but to no avail...until now! My coworker told me about this place , that it was vietnames/chinese store which sold live fish. She also told me there was a bakery. So last weekend I went straight for the market on Sunday early in the morning (2pm for those that wake up earlier than 12pm on a Sunday). There was plenty parking space. Once I walked into the market, I immediately ran to the seafood section and saw the poor unsuspecting tilapias swimming in the tanks. Immediately I told the fish dude(butcher?, not sure what you call the guy that kills the fish for you). But anyways, I told the fish dude to get me the biggest tilapia. Unfortunately it took him like 15 minutes to do. Not sure if he was new or if he was actually measuring each fish to determine which one was the biggest one. So after happily saving a tilapia from that cramp fish tank. I went into the snack isle( who wouldn't!). I spotted some of my favorite snacks such as Pocky and tangerine peals. There are more but I don't know the name, I just eat them, =P. Afterwards, I went into the drink section and found grass jelly drinks. This was soooo good, especially how hot it was last weekend. Their vegetable section wasn't great. In fact. it was pretty small for a supermarket. Not many choices, which is why they lost a star. Their ginger however, was great. Unlike the other supermarkets that I go to, their ginger was fresh and crispy. Well if any of those iteams doesn't strike your fancy, some of the cashiers were cute. Other thank the supermarket, I checked out the bakery which sadly wasn't what I expected. in my mind I was thinking of a chinese bakery with many of the usual buns that they sell. This store was tiny. They only had one counter with bread goods. So once you step in, you are about five feet from the counter. I will definitely be coming back this weekend to save another poor soul from the fish tank.

Yelp
SUPERMARKET: This is the old 88 Supermarket that used to be on Cameron Street. I liked it there, and I like it even better here, if for no other reason than it is MUCH cleaner. Tons of items - you can get lost in there for a while. They don't have everything, but they're putting up a valiant attempt. PHO MISS SAIGON: Awful. Truly awful. I am sorry to say it, but while the service is good and the restaurant is obviously new and clean, the food is atrocious. The pho comes out with noodles clumped in the bottom of the bowl and the summer rolls are dried out in places, as though they have been sitting around. I ordered shrimp paste on sugar cane, and the shrimp paste was frozen solid in the center. They have a large menu, so I'm really bummed that the food has been so bad. Perhaps there are things on the menu that are passable, but I doubt I will ever find out because of so many bad experiences. I wanted to like this place and tried it several times, but it has never been a good experience.

Yelp
Really like the Asia Mall. It's a little urban oasis, reminds me of a miniature NYC Chinatown and the sites and smells remind me of the countless similar shopping arcades I experienced in Singapore. Haven't tried all the establishments key, but the Thai restaurant is excellent, outstanding bakery, and the grocery store is huge and so much fun to wander around. This will be a regular weekend spot for me, looking forward to exploring it more! On 13th St, In the same area as Hall Manor and those other projects. Although that may turn off some, it keeps the prices low and keeps it down to earth for the working class people. If you aren't intimidated by the location, Asia Mall is a gem!

Yelp
I think Dana G's review is spot on here - this place is cool to have in the area! I hope it does really well, I enjoyed trying some random food in the grocery store and picking up a banh mi sammie at another shop. I love vietnamese food so this place is alright in my book. There are a few other random shops and I belive a new Thai place just moved in. I'll definitely be going back, it's small but really cool.

Yelp
I realize most reviews are on how wonderful the food & service is in the market but it was not this way in the Nail Supply store! When I walked in the guy in the front of the store was too concerned with watching tv to show me where the mineral soaks were, he told me to look around. After about 3 mins of me looking, I found an aisle of huge bottles of lotion which none of them were priced. A woman walked up to me with her arms folded, asked me what I was looking for. Nothing was priced, so I asked what the prices were on each item & she responded each price coldy. She continued to hover over me for about 2 mins, which felt like forever after I found something in my price range ($5 small bottle of warming lotion)... I wanted to smell test it by twisting off the dispenser (which had no seal) but I stopped myself to ask if it was okay to smell it. She flat out told me NO, what the heck!!!? "Because it lets air in" I think she thought I was going to steal something when I was just about ready to buy something. I walked right out of there & I"m never going back. The worst treatment I got in my life! Its too bad too, I couldve been hooked on that place since I only live in Steelton which is 3 min drive. **** Bottom line... I am not telling you that you should stay away because like I said, alot of people think the food & food service is wonderful.. I only wanted to forewarn anyone thinking about stopping in the Nail Supply Store only.

Yelp
Take-out from Kanlaya Thai Restaurant - decent food, but probably won't go back. Kim Son Bakery: Lady was attending to other things, did not stop to help us even though looked up when we walked in. We wanted to buy something new to try and waited patiently. This lady had yet to smile, let alone wait on us! How rude!! Grocery market: Surprised at the variety of food available. I make Thai & Philippine dishes, but prices seem high. Would not go out of way for specialty items (will stick with Little Saigon nearby). Pho Miss Saigon: Service was horrible. Correction: what service? We attempted to get a drink while waiting for take out. Three (count them - 3) ladies behind the counter and NOT ONE WOULD WAIT ON US!! I was holding a menu, waiting to order. They were too busy, not speaking English and in their own world. Bottom line: If you are not Asian, you won't feel welcome in the Asia mall. We were glad we got take-out after the experience. We'll stick with other proven performers - i.e. Bankok Wok.

Yelp
I was extremely pleased with our visit to Asia Mall. It's small! But if you need supermarket items or lunch, this is a good place to try. The supermarket absorbed the Eighty Eight (88) supermarket that was on Cameron Street. That place closed down due to water damage and just an old, old building. The owner of that place owns this new supermarket, K&H. We didn't find everything we wanted there, but they had enough for us to fill a small basket. We tried Pho Miss Saigon. I do say that we liked it. The soup was good and not too salty. The chicken (I always get the chicken pho) was cut too thickly - I like the meat thinly cut - but otherwise was ok. The service was slow, because it was busy there. They need to hire someone else to help out at busy times. We stopped at the bakery and got a couple of bakery items. I noticed on their wall they had some drinks. I was hoping these were bubble drinks. They were! I ordered an avocado one, after asking if they were made from real fruit. One look at the drink and I knew I had found my replacement for the bubble teas we had in Virginia. IF YOU WANT REAL bubble tea, go into the bakery (or I guess the cafe that's connected to it - the woman went in there to make my drink) and look at the sign in the window for the fruit selections (they need a picture to make it easier for folks to tell what they have to offer). Then ask for them to make you your choice of bubble tea. I was extremely satisfied. When you try one of these, you'll know that the kiosk in the Colonial Park mall has a very fake sugar syrup drink. These sold in the cafe/bakery are the real deal! Delicious! I'll be back there again for drinks. We have yet to try the bread - I'm so full after lunch! Note: we had no problem with them taking our debit/credit card, unlike Dana G. (except bakery - I'm unsure because we had a $20 on us and just paid cash there.)

Yelp
I like buying my typical asian ingredients that I can't find at Wegmans or Weiss. I buy my sushi rice, sesame oil, mochi, rice flour, Korean ramen, pho ingredients, tofu, aloe vera drinks, and Chinese sausage all here.

Yelp
Oh this place is good. Wonderful food, excellent prices and attentive service. Friend had soft shell crab at a market price of $16, unbelievable and delicious. The calamari appetizer is really a sharing plate it is so plentiful. I will be back to try more.

Yelp
I went looking for something Korean (gochujang, a bean and chili paste used with bulgogi Korean barbecue) and was overall disappointed. The grocery store advertises itself as pan-Asian but is very heavily Vietnam oriented, which is not bad if that is what you want but it didn't help me. Further, the meats and fish did not look terribly fresh (other than the live Tilapia, which we jammed into their tanks gill to gill) and it just didn't smell good. Several other spaces were vacant and the two restaurants that we open seemed nearly deserted at noon on a week day. Overall, the mall is not worth the trip, unless perhaps for hard to find Vietnamese canned and jarred goods. P.S. I found my gochujang on Amazon.com easily, which is where I should have started in the first place.

Yelp
althought small, asia mall is the best place to eat and shop in hbg. -K&H have every asian supply you need to make a home meal -Asian nail supply provide best supplies for anyone own a nail shop -Kim Son Bakery have the best "banh mi" that would fill your stomach that cost only $3.00 -Pho miss Saigon is really decent with the vietnamese cusine. -Kanlaya Thai restaurant that just recently open with recipe and cuisine that was bought from the restaurants ASIAN SPICE (http://www.asianspice.us/) and KANLAYA THAI restaurant (http://www.kanlayathaicuisine.com/New/index.php) in Washinton D.C now officicallyto the public of HBG.

I find generally everything I need here in regards to Asian cuisine

Yelp
ASIA MALL. Really??? For the K&H market. It was good at first but now, I noticed that the place is always a mess, they always move things around, the smell is very unpleasant and the goods in the shelves are very dusty. I was disappointed because all the vegetables that I want is already dead may be because the place is really hot. But I am happy because I found the broom (made with coconut leaves - stick) that I always want to have.
google avatar

Mark T.

Yelp
We often stop at the K&H Super market. we like the meat seafood and selection. best we have found in the area. I have no problems with rude workers, although some are English challenged, but smile and pretend to understand. of course the organization of the products leave something to be desired, but that is similar to what you find in much larger cities.
google avatar

Yelp
got my standard chicken with mixed vegetables dish and pho as to compare with other places. Not bad, not great...nothing special but worth going back. Was not as flavorful as Roses or Little Saigon. Wife got some clear noodle soup with crab and shrimp. The usual imitation crab (they should say this on the menu) again....average...but nothing was bad. Friendly service. Interestingly, not one person was in the Thai place across the hall and the Vietnamese restaurant was packed. Will try the Thai place next time..

Yelp
Stop by at Pho Cali for some delicious pho if you get the chance to hate pho? Try the rice dishes they're my favorite my opinion though =^_^=

Yelp
Ur very limited on asian stores in Harrisburg. It has an the the Dan Yang Asia Supermarket (closes at 9pm), a asian restaurant, a pho restaurant and a Thai Restaurant. We've eating the Pho Pasture several times, the pho is good. A little pricier than philly pho which is still the best but this will do. As for the asia supermarket, it has ue essentials other than that one of the owner/employee is rude. I wishe it also had a sign show when it closes, google says they plaza closes at 10pm but the supermarket closes at 9pm and supposedly the pho place is 24/7. There's Kim's on Derry St we have yet to go to. Oh, the restaurant next to the supermarket has very good Banh Mi sandwiches but i did see a cockroach scrambling under the table when i went to sit down.

Yelp
is this the only asian market in harrisburg, pa? well, i guess everybody who wants asian foods would be stuck with this place. the place looks new and organized. i'm a bit concern though about the freshness of the fish. they looked tired and pricey, too. in the meantime, i think this place would suffice for lack of competition in the area.

linda v.

Yelp
My husband and I tried the Thai restaurant inside the Asian Mall, and surprisingly it was delicious! It's actually one of the best Thai restaurant that we've been to (and we've been to A LOT of Thai restaurants all over the major cities in the US). Very authentic, cheap, delicious food. Also, the haircut place inside, good service, great cut, and dirt cheap. The grocery store doesn't have EVERYTHING, but they do have a good selection compared to the smaller Asian stores around Harrisburg. I haven't try the bakery with all the delicious Vietnamese sandwiches yet, that will be next weekend.

Yelp
nice spot to get your asian related groceries and/or apparel, plus video rentals for movies in all sorts of eastern asian languages, the food shops are nice but the bakery keeps weird hours. i stopped by around 5pm a couple of weeks ago expecting some banh effing mi and they were closed. i mean do i have to open my own banh mi shop to get good banh mi? they should open it 24 hrs a day, dammit!

David T.

Yelp
Great Asian market with lot of interesting products. Wide selection of fresh produce as well as meats & fish/seafood. Numerous long racks of frozen & refrigerated foods also.
