Amazing time here. The food was incredible. Lovely authentic variations between Thai, Chinese, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. Plenty of it, and the staff very friendly and attentive.

I ordered malaysian aloo curry with chicken and egg fried rice here! It waa good no doubt, the vibe was fab🫶 But I did not quite the like the taste of the dish, that’s why -2 stars because the pieces of potato were too big in it :( Talking about the service, too good- staff help in suggesting what to order. Also, customised the food for me that is made it little spicy. 🌶️

Food was delicious! Our server was so great- had great recommendations for the table, asked about timing and allergies to accommodate our large group that included kids. Also provided little toys and coloring pages. Would definitely recommend for groups!

We have been at this place multiple times ( also at the Buddha bar *same kitchen. Buddha bar is where we go the most) The Thai crispy chicken is my go to dish, my husband loves the galangal chicken, always taste good & the portions are good too (the only thing is it would be good to get the starches with the main instead of paying for them separately 18,50 for a chicken dish is pricey enough if compared with many other Asians around the city) atmosphere is good & huge thanks to Alessandra the lovely waitress that looks after us most times when we go there, she is an absolute star! Love when she is around.

We went there on a Sunday night. The menu was big with lots of options both for food and for drinks. It was a bit expensive. Among the starters we had a portion of gyozas and a portion of gowgee, which were both 3 small items per plate for 9.20 and 8.00 euro respectively. The mains were costing about 18.50 and unfortunately you had to order the rice/noodles as a side dish for an extra 4-5 euro. At least the mains' portions were big. It was one of those cases though that we tried something new and 2 out of the 3 party members didn't really liked the taste of the food. This was a personal taste preference though as the food was really well cooked with fresh ingredients and with attention to detail. The service was good as well. Finally considering we were not very pleased with the food and the high prices we will not visit again.

Was here with friends over the Christmas period - Had a wonderful meal, even better cocktails (thanks Buddha Bar!) and such a cosy and comfortable experience. I’d been here a long time ago in the past, but this meal definitely makes the Asian tea house a strong contender for a must visit on future trips to Galway! We especially loved the cornography cocktail! Many of them were drank that evening ☺️

Google
it tastes very good but is it anywhere near authentic preparation of Asian dishes? No really, they have the spices and some of the flavors but they definitely cater to the Irish tastes. Again, it's got some of the flavors of the east but not even close to what they would eat there. Enjoy the awesome environment and fun named cocktails: rum job, jammy bastards etc fun and delicious

Yelp
The reviews here are amazing for good reason. The service is super attentive and they take great care of you. I had the salmon which is melt in your mouth. I won't take a star away, but note to the restaurant - why would you ever make a crispy skin salmon and serve it skin side down? That's such a rookie move! It was delicious though, so I can't say much. I love the jasmine flowering tea but honestly I like the pu-ehr even better. The ribs (either one) are fantastic. This place was great!

Yelp
Our hotel concierge recommended this place to us clueless tourists because we needed a break from all of the Irish food, and she didn't disappoint at all... the waitstaff was so friendly and helpful with the extensive menu, and the place felt really intimate and cozy. All of the food and drinks came out so quickly, and it was delicious. I got the Thai Crispy Chicken, and it was one of my favorite things I ate in Galway! Not pictured: crispy duck rolls and the Japanese Garden cocktail... all AMAZING!! We were so full from eating everything that we literally had to roll ourselves down the street afterwards. Go here if you're looking for really well-crafted cocktails and quality Asian food!

Yelp
This place was delicious. The restaurant we wanted was booked up so we popped in here without a booking. The restaurant filled very quickly and I see why. The green curry was delicious and the mushroom vegetable side. Everything we had was excellent

Yelp
Great tasting food and friendly staff. Asian Tea House is kinda off the beaten path, but if you're looking for some excellent Chinese food, check this place out. Great taste and large portion for the price. We started with the Crispy Duck Egg Rolls which were perfectly cooked. I had the Szechuan Beef with fried rice added as a side. Again, perfectly seasoned and wonderful tasting. For dessert, I had the Light Yogurt Oreo Cheesecake with a scoop of ice cream. Was refreshing, light and tasted great. Will definitely head back tp this fine establishment before w

Yelp
Went to this restaurant on a whim and we cannot say we were disappointed! We lucked out with a very private seat in the front corner of the restaurant overlooking the street. Food was incredible. We did not see many other Asian restaurants in Galway so wasn't sure what to expect. Definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
We spent the evening at the fairground, two and a half hours of pure fun, we tried every ride again and again and had a ball. It was coming up to 10pm when we made our way to "The Asian Tea House" for a take away as we were starving, we would have preferred to have a sit down meal, but the young lad was wrecked after an exhausting day, so we opted for a take away instead. Just as I pulled up to run in and get our food, the poor lad got so sick all over the back of the car, sure he was fierce upset, so we cleaned up as best we could and headed home, minus our take away. Herself got him cleaned up and into bed as soon as we got home, and sure god love him, he was out like a light as soon as his head hit the pillow. In the mean time I rang the restaurant to see if they could do a delivery, only to be told that they had finished deliveries at half ten, not to be put off I explained what had happened, so they made an exception and took my order. The food arrived half an hour later, packaged in the usual take away containers, but let me tell you the food within was far from the usual you would get delivered to your door at that time of night. I won't go into what we had but let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing, these people can seriously cook, the flavours were out of this world, we savoured every single bite of what was easily the best Asian food I have tasted, each dish was cooked to perfection and had so many ingredients in them, I was truly impressed. This is the second time we have eaten here, each time better than the last. I can't stress to you just how good this food really is, Diep in Dublin doesn't even come close. I am very quick to complain when people get my food wrong, but on the flip side, I will also be very quick to compliment when they get it right, so I picked up the phone to thank them for such a wonderful meal and to also thank them for making an exception and delivering so late. As a man who has cooked and trained in Michelin star restaurants all of my career, I know my food, it is my passion, I work 18 hour days and still go home to read cookery books etc so I don't give praise like this lightly. You really must try it to see for yourself.

Yelp
Hands down the best asian food you'll ever eat in Ireland. I'll put it this way - any time I come home to Galway, the first thing I do is get a take away from here straight off the bus. The freshness of the food, the quality. It's on another level. It's not like your standard asian food you get in most places. It's completely different. I would recommend eating in rather than take away. I find the food is much nicer which I actually thought wasn't possible, but take away really is good enough too. Quite a large portion size but I never leave anything on my plate. I always go for the sweet and sour chicken. This place has won numerous awards and if you're in Galway and haven't eaten here...well, let's just say, you need to try here asap. Not open on Tuesdays which has broken my heart numerous times. Quite pricey but worth every cent.

Christina M.

Yelp
Came here to try a little of everything- went with the dim-sum vibe and ordered a ton of starters. The bbq spareribs and the chicken wings were my favorite

Yelp
The reason I don't choose to give this place full marks not because of the food nor the professionalism of the staff there, but because of the certain and negative way some of the staff members in this place tend to sometimes treat some of their high-paying customers. All of in all honesty to them, without the staff in this place ever realising. The food and atmosphere here is all very nice, but let me just most honestly ask and insist, what is it all for? Just what? What good is any nice restaurant, if the staff members are going to put it all up their noses, utterly sabotage and destroy it for themselves by being over negative to customers paying them money. What is that kind of treatment from a professional at anything, just most utterly what?!! . I have to insist and most sincerely, that if it weren't for the way I and certain others whom I am associated with were treated in certain and very considerably instances, all would have been absolutely perfect with this place. But however, instead all is not, it is just not, ok and not at all, the staff here in all honesty to them could really do a much better job if they wanted to, now of that I most brutally and unquestionably certain, don't go there with me just don't, I am deadly serious on that, yes I am. In lieu of certain things that happened here which I (at least for the now with not go into, not for now anyways) the staff here could have behaved way more professional than what they did and without question be a little more careful of how they treat their customers. Customers, most particularly ones forking out top dollar to their dumb asses behind the counter, are not living punchbags. You know in business school we have an old saying, do you know what that is? . I will tell you; it goes 'the customer is always right.' Now think about that for a second just think; 'the customer is always right,' and these people act in some certain instances as though they don't know their heads from their anuses about anything, they probably don't as well mind you. As a professional business person of any kind, you do not vent your hostile emotions on customers ever. Not ever. Most particularly those that pay a lot of money, no you do not, you just don't, not so much as within that ever. These people within certain instances did, curse them to hell for that, they shouldn't have but they did and weren't supposed to, utterly enough said at that. As a business, you treat customers with utmost respect at all times, you do not abuse them ever and as a professional restaurant, both I as a customer along with my friends and family with me, would expect nothing but the best from them. However on numerous occasions I honestly have to complain how we did not receive such, no we didn't. If it weren't for how the staff members in this place kept it together in many instances with us, if it weren't for how professional they had acted with us, I would not only have given them no marks at all, but I and those whom I am associated, would have utterly complained them down to their toes and had them properly taken down a peg for it in doing so. That is no joke, no word of a lie, word of warning on that and within doing so, most nothing but.

Yelp
Travelled around Ireland for five days and my not-so-stubborn Chinese stomach has already complained like hell ( don't get me wrong, I love seafood chowder, fish & chips.etc., but seriously, everyday? I just couldn't take anymore) so we came upon this one and immediately fell in love. Usually I don't expect Asian cuisines being palatable outside their origin nations, but the Cantonese style duck with soya source and Hong Kong stir fried vegetable are just AMAZING. They even serve the side salad with some coconut sauce, which is quite refreshing. The steamed rice is a little bit hard to chew while miso soup is bit salty for my taste. But everything else is just prefect. Highly recommended for anyone craving Asian food.

Yelp
This place was amazing! The curries are out of this world and the Kimchi fried rice was to die for. Also phenomenal service, great cocktails, and good atmosphere. Everything was top notch!

Yelp
As they were listed as the only chinese food up for delivery in Galway, I called in an order. I ordered the "Chinese Fried Tofu In Hot And Spicy Sauce"... Pros: -They allowed me to pay with credit card over the phone -The driver checked the card for my signature -Good size portion overall -Friendly phone and delivery staff -Chopsticks in the bag (without having to ask) -Small salad (not ordered) in the bag Cons: -Despite the name "fried", the tofu is soggy and mushy -Despite the name "hot and spicy", the sauce is sub-medium spice (I would have asked for extra spicy if I remembered or they asked me, but neither happened) -No good size vegetables - no mushrooms, no broccoli

Michelle O.

Yelp
Definitely one the tastiest Asian restaurants I've ever found...and I mean good tasty...not the kind of MSG-filled generic Chinese food that sometimes can be difficult to avoid (they even mention on the menu that they don't use MSG at all :-) but the kind of tasty where you feel that you're eating real food made with proper ingredients. As a vegetarian, they don't have a huge selection but they say that they will do they're best to make something special if you wish, which I think is a lovely touch :-) We order from the take-away menu a lot and even though I like the idea of trying different things the Kari Tofu is something just too good not to get it ;-) I think if you're looking for an authentic Asian experience, this won't be it but it's one of those original restaurants that stands out so well on it's own accord.

Yelp
Went to Galway and a friend invited to try this restaurant it was Sunday that time so I think it's a bit crowded and took as a while to have a table . So we stayed in the bar and order some drinks first. The waiters are so accommodating and friendly. And atmosphere in the restaurant is nice . And the foods are so nice and taste good! So I high recommend this restaurant. And after having the main course we ordered desserts which was also nice but it took ages for the other one to serve and I think they almost forgot it. So we have to check and ask for it again. :) but aside from that everything is perfect! I'll be back there soon!

Yelp
Upper class great Asian food... menu so big you have trouble choosing.. went out with a group of 14 people... every one of them absolutely loved the food and atmosphere.

Yelp
Really want to give this place a good review because everyone was so nice and prompt, but I just sadly cannot. I must admit that I am biased though because I grew up in a very traditional asian household and have been eating a large variety of asian foods my entire life. I ordered this one ramen plate and had their red house wine as a special. Their ramen was more like stirfry and not traditional Japanese ramen which threw me off and they topped it with the shavings of dried fish, that of which always upsets my stomach so I placed them aside. Overall, it was just okay and my standards were too high. P.s. Very dim lighting if that's a problem for anyone.

Diarmaid O.

Yelp
In a word - fresh. This place has the freshest asian-inspired food you can get in Ireland today. Consistently excellent, I've found it somewhere I crave for. To be honest the menu isn't overly exciting but it does avoid the usual "Chinese restaurant take out menu" nonsense in favour of true asian cuisine. I usually order the 'chili pork fried rice' dish from the specials menu and although it's VERY expensive, you get a dish that I've struggled to find anywhere else. If you're in Galway, this is one of the best restaurants to eat at - PERIOD. But be sure to make a reservation, this place is usually packed which in itself speaks volumes. My only complaint is the flooring inside the restaurant - it's tiled and extremely slippery so if you're going with someone not so good on their feet, just keep it in mind.

Niall H.

Yelp
Good Chinese had a very nice Cantonese roast duck and seafood rice well worth going here has a lot of awards and very nicely decorated. Not bad on price as well.

Oanh P.

Yelp
The best Asian restaurant in Ireland so far for me! Been there with my beloved one last time, I wish to come back to this restaurant soonnn

Ellen C.

Yelp
The service here is AWESOME! Got seated on a Friday night in 20 minutes (for a group of 12). Our waitress was sooo helpful and nice. The bartenders too. I wouldn't say it's authentic Asian food - it's more Asian fusion. Still good though. If you're craving spicy ask for chilli oil!

Jonny M.

Yelp
Had the Tofu Ramen and i do not posses the vocabulary to explain how much I enjoyed it! Staff was very friendly and helpful and I was not waiting to long for meal to be brought to me. I will be recommending this place to everyone, Thanks again 5/5

Hannah S.

Yelp
All the vegetarian dishes on the menu are so delicious. So simple yet so flavorful with big portions! The staff are really really friendly and welcoming aswell!

Martha M.

Yelp
The caveat on this 4-star rating is that I'm only giving it 4 as compared to other Asian places I've eaten at in Ireland, not Asian food in general. For those used to having their choice of authentic Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Cambodian, etc., within a one-block radius, this place will be mediocre at best. The menu is a hodge-podge of different Asian cuisines. On the one hand, this means that if your dining companions want Pad Thai, teriyaki, Mandarin Beef or Malaysian Kari Kambing, you can find all of those things in one spot! On the other hand though, it also means that this large variety of dishes also won't taste all that different from one another. My favorite thing about the Asian Tea House is that the spicy dishes are actually spicy. I've been told in other Irish-Asian restaurants that an item was particularly spicy only to find that it would need at least half a bottle of hot sauce in order to earn its chili pepper on the menu. The silken fried tofu here fried in hot and spicy sauce is advertised correctly. After months of being in Ireland, I was overjoyed to feel myself tearing up a tiny bit after a few bites! Interior is also nice, clean, and staff are relatively efficient. Service has been good on every occasion that I've visited.

Kaylee M.

Yelp
Loved this restaurant and quaint atmosphere. They have a great mix of Asian food choices. The spring rolls to start were excellent and tasted fresh...unlike many other places I have tried. I had the mango chicken with steamed rice for my main course. It was actually very good and the portion size was huge! I definitely recommend!!

Serly A.

Yelp
Everything was fresh and delicious :) ordered a tom Yom soup & red curry with black rice

Bart S.

Yelp
The dishes were massive and the selection even larger, I was impressed to be able to find such god Asian food in Galway. Service was great too would love to eat again here.
