I say surprised, because I went in with some reservations as to whether this hotel was going to be ok. I had stayed at the Maven Stylish hotel in Hua Hin for 6 nights prior to this hotel and the Maven was supposed to be a better quality hotel and was more expensive.|However, besides the central location for the Maven, the Asira Boutique hotel was equal to, and in some aspects better than the Maven.|The room we had was very nice (I think it was a deluxe room - room 204). Plenty of room for 2 people; very comfortable bed; a large bathroom area (only complaint I would have was the rain shower head not working properly); all the toiletries you need including bottled water; good wifi; and a balcony area with a large double lounge bed.|The pool was excellent; plenty of room for swimming and a great water temperature.|The breakfast was more than adequate; a mixture of Asian and western foods and a great start to the day.|The location for the Asira hotel is not as central as the Maven hotel, but it has plenty of restaurants, 7/11, Big C, cafes, banks, laundry, etc close by. It's a short walk to the beach and only a 5 minute taxi to the Hua Hin night market or another 5 minutes to the Cicada night market which is open Fri - Sunday.|In terms of value for money, this place is fantastic value!! Highly recommended.
