Authentic Italian in a great location. Located amongst the shopping district, this restaurant is located right off a side street. Reservations- Not sure if they require, but we walked up and after a short 10 minute wait, were seated. Food - was phenomenal. We tried a variety of dishes: Garlic bread, Calamari, Chicken Lecca Lecca (chicken fingers), Spaghetti, Pizza, Balsamic Glazed Greens, and more. They have a great selection of delicious desserts. On holidays (Easter), they offer additional desserts. Service - was world class. We had Arsim as our waiter, and he was very attentive to our needs. Atmosphere - The restaurant has an upstairs and downstairs dining setup. They do have a bar. ***Menu attached

The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the vegan spaghetti, the vegetable vegan pizza with pesto, and the roasted potatoes — everything was amazing. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend!

Our favourite restaurant near Oxford Street. We love the atmosphere food and staff. Our amazing Malwa as always was very friendly and professional. Great choice of Italian dishes and nice selection of wines. We will always come back. Thank you ❤️

Google
The Pizza was great! The restaurant is allergy-friendly and made sure that my food will be carefully prepared. They also gave me a book in which all possible allergies were written down for each dish.

I was having a hard time finding a restaurant with a gluten free menu until we came here and I enjoyed a seafood pasta with GF Peroni beer. The staff was very helpful and friendly too. Hope to come back.

Google
I’ve heard a lot that this is one of the best Italian restaurants in London. But honestly it’s worth waiting in line or drive across the city to eat there. The food was less than my expectations. However the staff were really nice and friendly

Google
Popped into Ask Italian near Marble Arch for a family lunch, and it was a mixed bag. The food was a highlight with tasty pasta and pizza bursting with flavor, though mains at £15-£20 felt a tad steep for the portion. Sadly, our waitress’s curt attitude put a damper on things; her short responses to our menu questions made us feel uneasy. On the plus side, food arrived fast, within 10 minutes. I’d give it another shot, hoping for a friendlier server. Worth a visit for the food, just brace for hit-or-miss service.

Yelp
For the love of God, just don't. 2 stars because the house wine is very good and fairly priced. I just couldn't drink enough of it to make the food taste good.

Yelp
Had Laszlo as a server - like the other reviews, service was terrible - rude and uniformed You're better off going someplace else

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner last night, got lucky they were able to seat us without a reservation. Service was prompt and efficient and the food exceeded our expectations. We shared the caprese salad and short rib pasta. It was plenty of food for 2 people and the homemade pasta was perfect.

Yelp
This was a surprise dining experience for us. We had walked by a few times on our way to the underground by the Arch and decided we would stop in for dinner. We did not have reservations (Thursday night) and were able to get in. It's our understanding that reservations are needed for the weekend. We were greeted and seated promptly. Service was excellent, quick, and anticipated our needed. The food was also excellent. We had the lasagna grande (highly recommend) and a pizza. We also had dessert, and those are not to miss either!! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Food & prices were great. Service was not the best. Servers were pretty rude & made the experience unpleasant.

Yelp
Surprise great food around the corner from hotels. The mixed drinks for wifey were terrific.

Yelp
Nothing spectacular. They charge for the bread and olives, who knew? I surely didn't. The bread and olives altogether was over $10USD. I came here being greeted by probably one of the owners. They weren't particular nice nor rude. The owner obviously knew we were foreigners and asked us to have a seat and asked if we wanted bread and olives. Meanwhile she doesn't ask the locals that at all. Where's the equality? The table next to us (locals) complained a little about their food and their food was free (they ate more than 75% of their food already. That is something that you just don't do... Maybe have a bite and complain but to have eaten 75% of your plate already?? My wife and I didn't hate our dish but it wasn't spectacular, the food was subpar. Service and the owner ripping us off on the subpar bread and olives made the whole experience bitter. I wouldn't come back here nor recommend this place.

Yelp
Great linguini with pancetta, really fast service. Pleasant place nicely decorated and close to several big hotels as well as the Hyde park! Forgot to take a picture but it was finished quickly:) I have visited several Italian restaurants during my visit in London but this one is the best! Desert is a must, try cheesecake it's amazing:) Looking forward visiting the restaurant again next time I am around!

Yelp
After the demise of their Islington branch, it looked like this Park Street branch had inherited the competent chef from that branch. We ordered Aragosta e Gamberoni and Sea Bass al Foro. The pasta dish was just flawless. The sauce was full of flavour, pasta was cooked to perfection and the prawn on top was juicy. The sea bass was very fresh, the sauce was fragrant and potato and spinach were very tasty. If the portion of sea bass was bigger, I am happy to give them a 5 star.

Yelp
It beats eating British food.... 1. No offense to the Brits, love you guys, but sorry your food is not your forte haha So my family and I found this Italian place, while randomly wandering around our hotel. It looked nice from the outside so we thought we'd give it a try. Glad we did! 2. Like the prior review, ASK is a chain offering pretty good Italian food in a casual environment, that won't put a dent in your wallet. I don't remember the names anymore, but the 6 of us ordered something different and enjoyed it all -pizza, pasta, calzone and the special of the day-some pork dish. The portions were surprisingly large. 3. I don't know what to compare this place to in regards to other British "Italian" restaurants, but for Americans like myself it's kind of like an Olive Garden. Well unfortunately without the yummy, unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks. Those rock! * From my understanding, the name "ASK" is not an acronym. But rather if you have any questions about the restaurant or curious if you can request to add or omit something about the entree...all you have to do is "ASK" ....(There you go Jay!)

Yelp
We were visiting from the US and wanted something other than the British Fried food ... we enjoyed it so much we came back a second night ! The pesto pasta was amazing ... for that all of our meals were great and the service was the best we had for a loud 2 week visit - Malwa was our server the first night ! Don't have the name for the other gal but equally great ! Caprese Salad , bruschetta , Manzo, pesto, Bolognese were all delicious !

Yelp
whenever I go to Ask Italian, we are served with a taster drink! I love their food (not really authentic Italian) more like a British-styled Italian food. Their mushroom risotto is good.

Yelp
I had a very different experience from some of the reviewers at this restaurant. I received very professional service and the food I ordered was excellent. I also like the ambience of the restaurant; it feels rather upscale though the price is very reasonable. I walked into this restaurant on a chilly winter day - and was immediately greeted courteously by the manager and shown to a table. I am a petite Asian woman by myself, but I did not feel they treated me differently (as some reviews said below) because I look different or sound different. They were very professional - the waitstaff was courteous, professional, and very efficient in bringing out my food. I ordered Tuscan Bean Soup and Pork Belly Porchetta - both are DELICIOUS, perfectly seasoned and prepared, yummy. I noticed they also have vegetarian options on the menu, and you can ask for vegan options as well. Some of my family is coming to London for Spring Break - I already recommended this restaurant to them. I would come back to this restaurant in a heart beat when I next visit London. This restaurant is near the Marble Arch Tube Station so if you need to fuel up before touring Hyde Park or Kensington Palace, this is the place.

Yelp
The service was great and the food excellent. I ordered the seafood linguini, my husband ordered spaghetti bolognese and my daughter the margarita pizza. The pasta was really good, just perfect. The pizza was just as great! I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Quality wasn't amazing, most was bland with a "re-heated" taste to it. I had the LINGUINE CON FRUTTI DI MARE and I'm sure the King prawn fled from the weird tasting mussels as there were none. To top it off there was a fight between the manager and one of the employees, and between the "leave me alone" and "this is my last day" screams. I want to thank the Brazilian host that was amazing and tried to do everything within is power to make our stay bearable.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We had two different pizzas and a pasta carbonara. They were amazing!! We were received with home made lemonade and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
This restaurant was an absolute disappointment. I had looked up gluten free food options before coming to London, and every website I checked out recommended Ask. When I looked at their menu, I could see why! They have gluten free pasta and pizza and they could accommodate basically any choice to be gluten free. On the internet, I was super impressed. In person, it was a different story. I came here with a friend on our lunch break, and I was super excited. I ordered The food took forever to come out, and when we got it, it was cold. How is that even possible?! Worst of all, the gluten free pasta was horrible -- and I've had some horrible gluten free pasta in my days . Seriously, it sucked. At the end of our meal, we waited forever for our check, over and over again trying to flag someone down. There was zero attention, zero service, and zero flavor. Now, I gave them another chance the next day. I brought a group of friends, and we were all excited to try out some Italian close to our hotel. I tried the gluten free pizza this time, and it tasted like cardboard. The pizza was thin and crunchy like a stale cracker, and again, my meal was completely flavorless. Nobody else in my group was really pleased with their food either. Worst of all, the roof started leaking right over our table, so we all had to scoot over to get away from the water dripping onto our food! I certainly won't be back if I'm ever in London again, and I wouldn't advise that anyone else waste their money here. You'll find me over at Pizza Express...

Yelp
My friend and I would come here any chance we could when we studied abroad in London. ASK is located just around the tube and where we stayed so it was hard for us not to go to this place. I can't tell you how amazing this food is. I'm not even sure what I liked best. The pizza, pasta and the dessert was all just amazing. The service was great but we did have one bad experience where they sort of ignored us. Fortunately, they were very apologetic about it and ended up being busy in the downstairs area and forgot about the upstairs seating area. Not a big deal. ASK will also do carryout, which is great and I believed their prices were quite reasonable and that's coming from an American who's currency is half of what the British Pound is. I also think that if you're tired of British food, you can go to ASK. I felt like I saw a ton of Italian cuisines all over London. However, I rather liked British food! I have to say, the best part of the ASK, and pretty much the reason why I'm writing a review, is their chocolate cake. I know that seems silly but my friend and I would be absolutely craving their chocolate cake and would run over there as soon as we could just to simply order that and nothing else. It was to die for. Warm chocolate syrup with ice cream on top? This was possibly the best cake I've ever had! You must try it when you go there! If I ever get back to London, I will try to make this restaurant the first place I go!

Mike T.

Yelp
This is a chain restaurant. The bread and olives as appetizers were nice but all downhill from there. I think there a lot of options in London for similar value but much better food. Don't waste your time at ASK.

Anne S.

Yelp
Ask is a Italian styled restaurant chain offering modern, uncomplicated and easy food as pasta and pizza, with affordable prices and in a very civilized environment. This one next to Hyde Park I visited during the summer after spending the day out in the park, and it was nice as the huge windows were wide open and it felt like eating outside. The white colored decoration with high ceilings and hall like rooms is impressive but very neutral and even slightly cold looking. In this case you can see that the place is a chain so not the most authentic. I had flavorful raviolis that were a bit oily but fresh and perfectly al dente. But still the most impressive part was the fact that I had my dinner under ten pounds, so why not!

Lars Erik G.

Yelp
Not impressed, packed with customers downstairs empty upstairs. Waiters not interested, and had a unhospitable tone. My wifes chocolate pie (glutenfree) was good tho. Did not get any maincourse, and won't go back to test it either.

Yelp
In the begining we served well and the food is good but not that much tasty.. when I asked for the bill the waiter bring the bill and I asked him to pay by card then he bring the machine and he said we didn't toke tips and he put the amount and he click yes for tips!! I was shocked why he do that I didn't asked him to click on tips I have the right to put or not !! But I gave him 4.5£ tips. Before I go out the restaurant I just checked what my child ate.. i saw a rot in their fruit!!! I'll never visit this restaurant again they just said sorry and I also say sorry to recommend you to anyone...

Yelp
The place was in need of additional service as we ended up waiting for a little longer for our food, but the manager was very accommodating and brought us free garlic bread for our wait. The bologonese was fantastic and served nice and hot. Overall it was a good experience!

Yelp
This place is horrible. The waiter brought us the wrong food and then proceeded to tell us we ordered what he brought us. Even after telling them otherwise, they pushed us to eat what they brought to us. The waiter later half-assedly apologized and admitted that he might have been wrong when we paid.

Denise W.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, food was ready in no time and tasted great! Perfect combination between chill and hip.

Sherri C.

Yelp
Burnt Carbonara. I thought there were slices of mushrooms atop the linguini, but they were burnt jardons of ham/pancetta. That was the only flavor to the sauce. I bumped this review up a star bc my husband had a decent bowl of spicy rigatoni w meatballs. The service was fine, slow to check on us, and very slow to get the check. I left irritated.

Yelp
First of all lets get something outnof the way, ASK Italian is NOT a fine dining Italian restaurant. I walked in sat down ordered the appetizers which were basically olives out of a jar and fried cheese, you would think that would be prepared quickly, but no, it took them 30 minutes to get it. Of course at the same time of ordering appetizers, the mains were also ordered, which was never brought to the table one hour after being seated. After i informed another waiter about our order being 45 minutes late he went to the punch in system then looked confused and went to the manager, of course the manager then came acting like everything was normal in terms of time, she lied about what time we arrived and what time we ordered and when the apps were brought to us, but thank god my wife uses snapchat so she took pictures of when we first arrived and when we got our olives. So we showed her the pictures with time stamps then she had nothing else to say. I was not going to wait a minute more for literally pasta and tomato sauce. So we got up and left. The food would have been good, if it actually ever arrived of course. As we were there tables all around were getting their food, ate, paid and left and we just sat there with olive pits on our table. I honestly blame the poor service and our waiter, instead of waiting on us, he was taking orders and flirting with American girls, and of course they got their order before us and finished, i know this because we were sitting shoulder to shoulder next to them. Whoever goes here, remember that the service is a roll of dice, either you get snake eyes and wait an hour or roll a 12 and everything is perfect. All in all i didnt like the fact that the manager wasnt willing to take blame for their mistakes and lied about when we actually ordered and got our olives out of a jar.
