Stayed 4 nights here during our honeymoon. Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, hotel was stunning and the breakfast was easily the best hotel breakfast I could imagine offering a wide selection of eggs, jams, pastries, meat, cheese and drinks. Location provided easy walking to anything we wanted to do during our stay. The area and hotel felt very safe, although it was quite loud at night since it’s in City Center. We slept fine with white noise playing on the TV!! Will definitely be recommending this hotel to any friends or family visiting Catania and we will hopefully be returning!!

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights while in Catania for a conference. The hotel and the room were beautiful with lots of interesting artwork. The rooftop bar and the breakfast terrace offer amazing views. The hotel itself is fairly small and the staff were so friendly and attentive. The breakfast offers a good selection of continental food, pastries and fruits. The location is very central with easy walking access to shops and main attractions. If you’re staying in Catania, I highly recommend here!

Amazing place. Historic palazzo with art exhibits and careful attention to design, history and art throughout. On arrival warm welcome and guided tour of the establishment plan to spend 15-20 minutes learning about this amazing property. Location in the middle of city center walk to everything and easy transit to the airport (but look it up first, they are 10 minute walk to the interbus bus stop not the central station). Definitely worth what we paid and a good place if you want to discover Catania just before or after your flight. We had a lovely stay.

We just finished our second stay at Asmundo di Gisira, and honestly, it was even better than the first. Right in the heart of the bustling Catania Market, this boutique hotel captures the true spirit of Sicily. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed—the staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. The rooms are absolutely stunning with their high ceilings and large windows that let in tons of natural light. They're luxurious and spacious, making it so easy to relax. The art throughout the hotel changes regularly, which keeps things fresh and interesting every time we visit. One of the highlights was a special rooftop event we got invited to—a private wine tasting with live music and dancing. It was such an over-the-top experience and made our stay unforgettable. If I could, I'd move in permanently! Asmundo di Gisira is hands down my favorite place to stay in Sicily, and I can't recommend it enough. Thank you to the owners and the staff for a great stay.

Loved this hotel. It is in the middle of everything and run by lovely people who are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind.||Our room was awesome, filled with beautiful objects, clean and comfortable. || Our terrace was absolutely beautiful full of plants and gorgeous furniture. Breakfast on our terrace was fantastic.|| The art works are just fabulous and are everywhere. Each room is different and it is like staying in an art gallery. || A very beautiful space in a lovingly restored old building, full of history - wish we could have stayed longer. Very near the airport. Highly recommend to visitors!

This hotel is a dream! We stayed two nights and were welcomed very warmly by the friendly staff. They showed us around the beautifully furnished palace with its amazing modern art. Our room was marvelous. For the breakfast on the terrace they prepared everything we desired including specialty pastries from Sicily. The roof top terrace is perfect for aperitivo or an afternoon tea. The staff gave us extraordinary recommendations for restaurants and activities. They were always there to help us with any questions. The location is perfectly central and close to the fish market. We had an amazing time at Asmundo di Gisira!

This hotel is very unique and my husband and I enjoyed the artwork and decor very much. The staff is welcoming and friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the bathroom spotless. It's in a great location - walking to restaurants and sights. We stayed two nights and regrettably did not experience the breakfasts due to an early tour one day and an early flight the next. There is coffee in the room but they charge 1.50 euro per cup. We stayed in 5 hotels during our 2 week trip and this was the only hotel that charged for the coffee in the room. Just silly. So I took a star away for that. However, I do recommend the hotel for your stay in Catania.

Wonderful hotel. Modern interesting design. The entire hotel was spotless. Large, delicious breakfast. Great location near Fish Market and Via Etna. Highly recommend. ( The only improvement would be to include coffee pods in the price of the room, but there are so many cafés nearby we opted to have coffee in the city). Very nice and helpful hotel staff.
