Took a snowshoeing adventure today! Sam was our guide. He was friendly and we really enjoyed him sharing his passion for what he does and the space we were exploring! Great way to start the day!

My boyfriend and I went snow shoeing with ACES one afternoon last month. Grace was our guide - it was obvious she was very well versed in the local plants, animals, geography, etc. A great way to spend a morning or afternoon!

Our family really enjoyed the Aspen Mountain snowshoe tour led by Rose. The scenery was amazing and Rose was a very engaging guide, and very knowledgeable about many aspects of the area’s biology, geography and history.

Highly, highly recommended. I walked by Jacob B. at Maroon Bells Wilderness and he was hyped about beavers. Very knowledgeable and he mentioned that this "ACES" has a "beaver walk". So, we all signed up and, when we arrived, we met with Mason M. and Rose W. who were both knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Rose went out of her way to include a shy, young girl into the experience. It was so much fun. Mason knows a lot about wildlife and I appreciated his enthusiasm.

We have been there at one of the evenings for beaver watching and we really enjoyed it. It is fun for kids.

So beautiful and serene. An easy walk from the center of town to this peaceful oasis.

A wonderful resource for the Aspen community to learn about open space, waterways and high mountain meadows. The staff is abundantly helpful in understanding the intricacies of all the little birdies who inhabit the heavenly reaches of the higher elevations.

This is the best environment center in the country in my opinion. They offered tons of adult and children activities, very friendly staff and beautiful location. It is so close to town and yet feels so remote and quiet. We were here during the Holiday season and we took the silent night tour meditation, it was wonderful. When we used to lived in the valley, my son and his classmates used to come to this place for school trip and they loved it! Thank you ACES, we will definitely will comeback for more.

Fantastic Snowshoe tour at the top of Aspen Mountain! Daily 10am and 1pm. No reservation required. Our family of 5 very much enjoyed this fun, guided, 2 hour snowshoeing tour. Our guide was Lauren and she was wonderful. We all enjoyed the beautiful scenery, learned a lot about the area, the science experiment, and the hot chocolate and cookies. If you're looking for a break from skiing or if you don't ski, and yet would like to go the the top Aspen Mountain for the magnificent views and a tour, this is a great activity. Tickets are at the Aspen/Snowmass lift ticket office, and include gondola ride, and snowshoe rental.

Snowshoeing adventure at Snowmass was delightful. Claire did a great job as we spent 2 hours enjoying the woods, nice views, easy terrain and a fun time with our family ages 21-60. She had loads of good info and the hot chocolate and cookies was such a treat. Get tickets ahead of time so you don't have to wait in line for them and you will have your Gondola ticket (good all day!) and Snowshoe Ticket. Gather at top of Elk Lodge Gondola. Thank you to Aces and Claire for a wonderful afternoon. If you are staying in Aspen take the free bus to Snowmass! Will save you at least 45 minutes of traffic as bus has own lane. Kids made it home an hour before us!

We've been so impressed with everyone we've met associated with ACES. We thoroughly enjoyed our time down at Rock Bottom Ranch and on our hike with a naturalist out to Pine Creek Cookhouse for lunch. Their entire staff has been so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I would definitely recommend checking out their programming and facilities. I can't say enough good things about all our interactions!

The snowshoeing tour is at the top of Aspen Mountain. Our guide, Claire, was a big hit and very knowledgeable about wildlife, vegetation, and the effects of climate change. The views are spectacular. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable property in the heart of Aspen. Visit Hallam Lake and the nature center! Guides and staff are phenomenal. Visited during my stay for Aspen Shortsfest and would like to go again when I come back someday.
