Aspen Creek Grill

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner this evening. We had potato skins appetizer, and taking most of them home for later. My wife ordered the Hawaiian chicken with Mac & cheese and sautéed button mushrooms. I had the Mile High Meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and off the cob elote. For desert, we had fried cheesecake. The food and service were phenomenal!

Place is clean. Nice atmosphere 😎 Staff was a little inattentive. But we got someone else.... Appetizers took 35 min. *The food was good. We had steak 🥩 you can tell they're not 3D printed that's hard to come by these days. Thank Y'ALL for that 🙏 They have alcohol. Not sure how strong the drinks are.

VJ Gamez, managing partner, stop by our table to ask how our meal was…and we couldn’t brag enough on the delicious lunch. We enjoyed today! We are regulars. Great prices on wonderful food.

I travel quite a bit on business so I try new restaurants everywhere I go. For this place the first clue should have been the parking lot being fairly empty for dinner but I still gave the place a chance which was a mistake. The food was sub-par at best. I ordered the 16oz ribeye cooked medium with sautéed oniins abd mushrooms, sweet potato casserole, and Spanish style corn for my sides. While the ribeye was cooked to order atleast 6oz out of the 16oz was pure fat and the corn had so much vinegar in it that it was inedible. I sent the mushrooms and onions back to get sautéed a little long and literally got back 6 mushrooms and 5 onion pieces. The only positive about the restaurant was Colton the bartender. He made some good suggestions on which beers to try.

We had a great first time experience! Husband Ordered the ribs and I got the mile high meatloaf, both was delicious! Thank you again for great service and atmosphere. Definitely be back, plus the manager (he might have been the owner I’m not sure) gave us a free appetizer on next visit:)

My son’s fraternity had a mom’s weekend dinner here. The food was delicious. The drinks were really nice. The staff was very attentive and ensured that everyone had everything they ordered and was very efficient at that. We were really impressed with how Aspen Creek was able to handle a large group on a weekend night with exemplary service and true quality of food. Hopefully the fraternity will host more events here but if not we will regularly eat here when we visit Lubbock.

Delicious! Enjoyed the Cajun pasta! My friend Enjoyed their chocked fried chicken, steak, Hawaiian chicken. Appetizers were quite generous and gobbled up by all!

We came here for lunch around 1:30 on 8/12. We were seated immediately. The staff was amazingly warm and welcoming, and when they found out it was our first time visiting, the manager came by to introduce themselves and gave us a complimentary appetizer for our next visit! We ordered the green chili queso as our appetizer, which was warm and flavorful with fresh crispy chips. Then our steaks came out perfectly cooked to order and deliciously seasoned. The sides were just as yummy! The fish tacos were also very delicious if you are looking to avoid red meat. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, and we will be back!

Jaycee our server was fast and displayed true Texas hospitality. Always checking on us to make sure all was good. Food was amazing. Sweet and spicy salmon, Monte Cristo sandwich and country fried steak all highly recommended. Seriously if you're in the area, stop in to eat.

Enjoyed an ice cold Revolver Blood and Honey beer at the bar and split the shrimp and grits with my other half. Grits were great and had just a little bit of kick to make them interesting. The red sauce was extremely cheesy and flavorful.

I'll start with we go to this exact restaurant all the time we check In With our number and rarely have a problem. Today we had many issues and a very rude manager VJ was rude to my daughter my mom and my dad and this gentleman should not have a job as a manager for a food industry, but this has always been a great place but this guy was terrible and I dont think we will be returning any time soon

The dishes are made with fresh ingredients and care. Service is reliable and thoughtful. The restaurant is well organized. It leaves a positive impression each time.

We ordered the 6 oz sirloin and the chicken fried steak. The price was good and in line with most restaurants. The food tasted great. Portions were good sized. Service was good. It was Father's Day and we checked in on wait list we needed a wheelchair accessible table and they were able to accommodate us easily. It was a great experience

Service was excellent. Food is bland.....so bland. I can see why it was full of old people for sure. I got the chicken fried chicken and it had no seasoning and my broccoli tasted like fish??? Weirdly.... I didn't have the heart to tell our waiter I didn't like the food because he was so nice.

My son and I came here for dinner on one of my recent trips Lubbock. Every time I roll into town, I am ready for a nice hearty dinner before bedtime. I always tell my son to pick a new to us spot and this is what he came up with. Parking was plentiful like most places in the area. Customer service was outstanding. Dustin was so attentive, gave us recommendations and took great care of us. The inside is super comfortable and inviting like they advertise. The menu is pretty large and has lots of options. We ordered the Green Chili Queso to begin. They boast on their menu that everything is made from scratch and I believe them, but the queso had a very processed taste to it that wasn't that tasty. My son on the other hand loved it. For my entree I went with the Ribeye and Pow Wow Shrimp combo with a side of off the cob elotes and green beans. I asked for a medium rare steak and it came out more along the line of a overcooked medium steak. Flavor was there though. The sides were both mediocre at best, they could've use a little more seasoning. The Pow Wow Shrimp was lightly battered shrimp that was tossed in creamy sweet chili sauce. It was pretty tasty but the sauce definitely made it lose any of its crispiness. Overall, this was a decent meal. My son enjoyed it but I thought it was just ok. I may come back at some point, but I'm not rushing back anytime soon.

We stopped by for a quick bite on our way out of Lubbock and really enjoyed the food. I'm sure the service is wonderful as well, but we were in a bit of a hurry and had to get our food to go. We lived in Lubbock for a few years just over a decade ago. It's nice to see so many wonderful new restaurants. Next time we're back in town we'll make sure to stop and linger so we can enjoy the full experience at Aspen Creek Grill.

The food never disappoints! The steaks are always delicious and the ribs fall off the bone! Don't forget to get the spinach artichoke dip! Delicious! The music isn't too loud and the service is excellent!

I always try to come on Monday's for the $12 8oz steak deal! Great service. My only complaint is that the sides tend to be either over or under seasoned, but the entrees are always delicious!

Walked in right before 2pm... we were marooned in the bar area for 10 plus minutes without seeing a server. Left and went to Torchy's across the way...

This place will really surprise you. This is going to sound really strange but I actually prefer their ribeye steak to anywhere else in town! Great drink prices and prompt service.

Aspen Creek never disappoints, you just can't beat great prices for great food! Any time my husband and I have to decide on where to go, Aspen creek is always top choice. Their daily deals are also wonderful!

I come here every Monday and tonight's service and food was unacceptable. The temperature was so cold we weren't even able to enjoy the meal, my steak was cooked wrong and was tough I always get medium. My green beans had a long string of hair as I was chewing. I asked for the fish to be fried hard and it was soggy. This has been a place I visit every Monday and I brought my Family and I'm very disappointed.

- Food is 'okay' on a good day. Fried pickles are almost always good... no sweet potato fries, though, serious disappointment. - Service can be awesome... or they can forget you're on the wait list and act like they're doing you a favor by letting you eat there... both have happened several times. - Ambiance is nice. There are plenty of comparable places in Lubbock that are consistently good at this price-point. I've decided not o roll the dice at Aspen Creek anymore. I think I'm done with them. Not recommended.

Stayed at hotel nearby so walked over here for dinner. Immediately noted to friend, "this is Chilis with a lodge theme." Nothing subsequently changed that view. Nice waiter. Everything else was fine. At best. Med rare steak was medium well, but rib eye so still tender and juicy. Burger was absolutely HAMMERED into oblivion. Nearly inedible. Bacon so thick and tough you couldn't bite through it. "Lodge Old Fashioned" a flavorless watery standard well drink gone in two sips. Decor is supposed to be "Colorado ski lodge" but it looks like old dusty south Texas ranch, with incongruous ski posters. It was relatively cheap. Best I can say about it.

Worst experience I've had a at restaurant!! Ignored by my waitress, had to get another waiter take our order. Manager was made aware and did nothing about it!! First in the door last severed!! Its experiences like this that can ruin a restaurant, competition is steep!!

The service was outstanding, the food was great and served quickly. Our first time there and we did enjoy. Comfortable place for families with children.

The food was Amazing ! The porterhouse steak was the best ever . The old fashioned drink with toasted marshmallow for Christmas time was so good

Wanted burger. Regular menu has double meat burgers only. Who needs 1/2 pound of meat? Ordered child's. 1small meat patty but burned to hockey puck on charcoal bread. Would have sent back but appetite gone by then. Need to find someone with a little pride to quality control. Went with friend because she had coupon. Never again. Why is it so hard to find good food? For price it should at least be edible.

Food was delicious; but they sat a party of 8 young people in the booth next to us, and they were so loud we couldn't converse with one another!!

We go to the restaurant once a week for a steak dinner. The steaks are delicious and the service is excellent.

Cole was an amazing server and he was so kind. we're from out of town visiting our daughter and had an enjoyable dinner thanks to Cole!

The food was not great - it was "mid" at best. I ordered the bow tie pasta which comes in a Parmesan sauce with grilled chicken, bacon, and onions. I added a side of mashed potatoes since it comes with no side. I wasn't surprised by the lack of side on a pasta, but the pasta was located in a section that indicated it would come with a side so I was a little surprised when my server said it would come with a side so I ordered mashed loaded mashed potatoes. All the food was fairly disappointing. The bacon was fatty and salty and it ruined both meals. Even the strawberry ranch water - a mixed drink containing strawberry puree, tequila and soda water - was disappointing. The server was decent and the staff friendly. I will return in the future to try something different and hopefully update this review.

Food is consistently good and the entire menu has a diversified taste to satisfy the pickiest eater. Portion sizes are large while price is in the midrange. Specials are where you find the deals.

Food, Sri LS and exceptional service. Our go to place when we visit midland. We always get the peppercorn tenderloin, and the fried cheesecake is a must

Visited once again, I'm telling you, Seidii the bartender, 100% on spot with her service... It's always nice to feel the welcome like you're coming home on a Winters eve!! Recognized me right away, Fast, Service, great conversationalist ..... other employees are super friendly and very conversationalist as well!! Keep up the great work aspen grill ! I've been here a couple times, it's ok. Nothing is really that great or special. It's not a place that I'm dying to go back to.

The food was awesome. Everything was seasoned so nicely. Everyone at our table liked it all. The service was great. Best service we have had in a long time. The ambiance was great not to Loud we could actually visit and hear each other. We will be returning. 5 star

Just your average chain restaurant. Don't expect spectacular food, but you can get a decent meal! I'd say that it's comparable to cheddars and chili's. Really enjoyed our queso and chips! The mac and cheese was just cold dry noodles. Service was slow, but we were seated fast!

What's for lunch??? We had the chops, really good but missed the honey lime sauce they were out didn't have.

My mom and I love going to lunch here. Love the shrimp appetizer but I think they should put them in blue corn tortillas and make them into tacos!

I was there for a birthday party last night, a few of us arrived at 7, asked for the table to be set up, by 7:30 all of the party was there (13 guests). It took 45 minutes for waters and teas to be distributed, another 30 for the alcoholic beverages to be distributed only because we were getting irritated and one of us had to go order drinks at the bar and tell them we'd been waiting over an hour. Finally we get to speak to a manager who's maybe 19, he said "I'll get that figured out I'm sorry for the wait, I'll see what kind of discount I can give you guys" we told him that his waiter was struggling and needed help, he still got no help. 9 o'clock rolls around and the manager coms out and says oh your food is in the window your server will bring it, mind you he never offered to help the poor waiter who was shaking by the end of it all, another 15 minutes before we get food. My order wasn't received properly and the cooks made a completely different food, mind you we can see the kitchen staff from where we're sitting cleaning the kitchen, wiping down tables and what not before we get our food. While our food is being distributed I see cooks and staff eating on counters in the kitchen and walking around eating. I feel bad for our waiter, the manager should have handled that better. We will not be going again.

Aspen creek is one of our go to places. They have different specials throughout the week. The atmosphere is nice. You can go in and sit and have a convo with your friend. They have a good size bar area and lots of drink specials. The service is amazing. Everyone is so friendly and helpful My boyfriend loves the potatoe skins appetizer and I love the sirloin steak, burgers are good and so is the chicken. Never a disappointment.

On our road trip from Houston, we decided to stop in Lubbock to try Aspen Creek Grill. I was so excited based on some of the yelp reviews, but quickly became disappointed. Here is our experience: Waitress: Gina 10/10 Appetizers: chips and queso with chili added 8/10 Potato skins 9/10 Fried pickles 2/10 beyond salty Entree: Cajun catfish 4/10 again so salty!! We had it with season riced and a side of elote. The kids had steak bites which appear to be 4oz and a loaded baked potato for $8.99 ($7.99 + $1). Great deal for kids meal. We rate 9/10 Dessert: fried cheesecake 8/10 I would totally rate this restaurant higher if the food wasn't so salty. There needs to be quality checks from time to time. The service was excellent which warrant extra stars. I would not come back.

Really good steak but they mixed up my boyfriends with mine, I like mine medium rare and he likes his medium. Really fast service. Drinks were strong (for me anyways) but still good. When we went it was towards the end of the night and the waitress was still really polite. My son liked it there as well and they have a decent kids choices on the menu for decent prices-I was impressed. Would definitely come here again.

After waiting for over 30 minutes due to incorrect salad one of the other meals was cold when served. i always give a second chance, but last 2 times have been poor, so not again

This is my new go to place in Lubbock for good food. Lubbock in general has terrible food. I've only eaten here once but I will definitely be back. Chicken fried steak and burgers were great.

Updated review. I was so disappointed and embarrassed for choosing Aspen Creek for a lunch meeting. It didn't look clean-at 11 AM. Floor had crumbs, windows had smudges. I was taken aback, but we forged ahead. Server was ok, but distracted. Soups obviously sat there a while before we got them. They had a lovely skin on the top. We stirred and they were kind of warm, but extra salty (like I felt after lunch) Sandwiches were ok, never offered drink refills or anything until time for dessert and check. I was embarrassed to have even suggested Aspen Creek-and won't make the mistake again.

Great food. Wasn't that busy but Service was slow. Sat at our table for 5 min before a server even came to the table. Food was served hot and fast. Once we were finished eating, we waited for another 10 minutes before we got our bill.

Delicious steaks that are always cooked the way you want them and their margaritas are great, The service is awesome they are nice and efficient people, and the ambiance is good too it's always great

Okay I was traveling through Texas and I wanted a steak. Slim pickings on Yelp in my opinion but this place had many reviews saying steaks were good. Well the reviews were correct. Very good steak with peppercorn sauce. Mashed potatoes good and steamed broccoli excellent. Wednesdays are half priced bottles of wine. The waiter was obviously very new and so nervous. But all was good.

The food was delicious! Sadie was a good waitress--clean and family friendly place to eat.

Food is good but too pricey. Great for special occasions. Loud when several people are there.

Basically, it's a fancy cotton patch. I love the atmosphere, and wait, staff is always on point. Grilled chicken is good and steak as well.
