Our first time visiting this restaurant. The food made it to our table relatively fast and it was hot. I didn't get a picture of the appetizer we had but it was okay, nothing spectacular. My main course was tasteful but way too salty for my palette. The waitress was was friendly and helpful. We plan on going back just to try something different. Overall it was a decent experience.

Google
We ate lunch here on a Saturday, and enjoyed fried pickels appetizer, and both of our entrees were pretty good! The corn side dish was AMAZING. Our server was very nice, and attentive. I expected the atmosphere to be more "mountain feel". 4/5 stars

Google
I actually thought it was great and reasonably priced! We were on our way through Tyler and wanted something different so we decided to give it a try. A nice variety of menu options and the kids were excited sweet potato casserole was a side option (and that it was actually good!) My pasta was delicious and my husbands steak was actually also. Great service, clean and good food! Can’t go wrong!

Stopped here on our way home from our honeymoon and wanted to get a steak. These are the best steaks we have ever had. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our waitress Kim was amazing and made our last night of vacation memorable. The manager also came over and introduced himself. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their restaurant. Going to have to plan another road trip theough the area so we can stop again soon!

I really need to stop waiting so long to give restaurants a second or third chance. After 5 years, I decided today was the day to go back to Aspen Creek Grill - Tyler and I couldn’t be any happier that I did. The entire experience was great. I walked in shortly after the lunch rush and the hostess immediately sat me at a table in the bar area. That’s where I got to meet Irais (part of the reason for my amazing visit). She asked me what I wanted to drink and then told me she’d be back shortly. I already had an idea of what I wanted to eat, so I quickly glanced over the menu and decided as she was walking back with my water. I ordered the 16oz grilled ribeye (medium rare) with the peppercorn cream sauce. For my 2 sides, I chose the loaded baked potato with a side of ranch and the mac and cheese. Roughly 10-15 minutes went by and she was already bringing my food to the table. She asked me to cut into the steak to check it, but I gave it the old finger test and instantly knew it was cooked right. Shortly after she walked away, I cut into the steak and verified it was indeed perfectly cooked. I tried a bite without the cream sauce and I honestly have to admit it was incredible!!! It was perfectly seasoned and so juicy. I cut another bite off and dipped it into the peppercorn cream sauce and instantly fell in love😍. The flavor it added just made it that much more amazing. The baked potato was very good and loaded full of bacon, cheese, and sour cream. I added a bit of ranch and it was perfect. By the way, their ranch is heavenly. About that time, Irais came by the table to check on me and ask how everything was. I praised everything, but I had to tell her the truth about the mac and cheese. It was dryer than my sense of humor. She looked at it and agreed and offered to bring me a different side. I chose the green beans. I feel like it was fate to be honest. If they didn’t bring me that bowl of desert noodles, I would have never had the opportunity to try their amazing green beans. A few minutes later, the manager came by. I believe his name was Victor. He was very polite and apologetic about the mac and cheese. He returned a few minutes later with some legit mac and cheese. It was very cheesy and definitely not dry. I can’t recommend this place enough, especially after having such a great overall experience.

I have been hearing lots of good things about Aspen Creek Grill & hubby and I decided we needed to try it out. Iris was our awesome waitress! She was so friendly & helpful. She answered all of our questions & then some. Maybe she should start training other waitresses because she was SUPER busy but it didn’t feel like we were being put on the back burner. The food was delicious! I got Sirloin Choice Steak with garlic butter shrimp; hubby got Country Fried Steak. The shrimp was salty to my taste. I won’t be ordered the green chili grits anymore because it was very dry. The mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy and the coleslaw were yummy! We will definitely be back though!

Food was excellent had ribs, service was great and we felt welcomed. Great atmosphere very clean, will return when back in town, management made us feel welcomed.

Google
We had the best lunch here today. I am visiting the area and had the pleasure of having Salomon as our server. He was the consummate professional. Ashanti was so helpful and polite. I felt very welcome. I watched a very offensive group of people treat them with such rudeness -- and they were amazingly graceful and maintained their professional demeanor through it all. The food was very tasty -- plentiful and reasonably priced.

Yelp
We experienced absolute perfection, from the time we sat down until we left. My wife and I are true foodies. I'm an amateur chef. We've eaten lots of great places in the U.S., Europe & Asia. Service was great. The FOOD was terrific. When the waitstaff said they are know for their steaks, we can see why! Our ribeyes were well seasons and perfectly cooked. And SO tender. I could rave about them!! The elotes was ideal (and we've eaten and made a lot of elotes!) But the piece d'resistance was the fried cheesecake! ohmygawd! They should build a monument to whoever created this! We chose Aspen Creek by chance on a Sunday night. It was sheer serendipity that we did. If we lived in Tyler we would eat here FAR too often! . Don't hesitate: GO!

Yelp
The food is probably good inside, but we had ours delivered, and it arrived really oily and the sauces had separated. First time eating with Aspen Creek, so can't wait to try them in diningroom some time because it would probably be really good. A lot of folks like Aspen Creek, so it's worth another shot.

Yelp
Very friendly service. I ordered the steak fajita tacos with corn elote as the side. My elote was VERY salty. I would like to try again because I have heard excellent reviews of the corn. Seating was plentiful, completely indoors.

Yelp
We tried it for lunch and the service was fast and friendly. Nice atmosphere and good lunch specials. We enjoyed it and we'll come back again.

Yelp
Steaks are always juicy, cooked just right. In my opinion they have the best steaks in town.

Tim M.

Yelp
Food was delicious, steaks and seafood. Service was excellent. Quality operation. We'll be back.

Yelp
First time at Aspen Creek Grill. Gave 3 stars for giving the benefit of the doubt since it was Valentine's Day. Our waiter Aaron was fantastic going above and beyond in his service to us. Without Aaron I would give it 1 star. The ambiance was similar to that of a Chili's. My husband and I got the truffle fries. I was disappointed by its presentation, sogginess of the fries, and lack of flavor. I got the Angry Bison burger, it was over done and burnt on the outside. My husband got the Habanero Burger and he says it was good and had good flavor. Overall service was good but food was lacking.

Yelp
I ate the fish tacos and flavored lemonade it was delicious. The lady that waited on me was fantastic. Her recommendations were great. Thanks for a fantastic meal!

Yelp
First and foremost we were served by the best waiter in this town, Rick Lawrence! Spot on service and a really good person too!! Ordered the grilled smothered chicken with Jack cheese and it was delicious. I've also had their 8oz filet topped with bleu cheese and it was amazing. Check it out and ask to sit with Rick! Doesn't get any better.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting an Aspen Creek Grill and we will definitely be back! The service was fast and very friendly. Our waitress Bri was very knowledgeable and was a big help in deciding what we wanted. The sweet tea was super fresh and the perfect sweetness. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and it was a pretty solid choice. It felt like it was missing something but we would maybe order it again sometime. We decided to split the Campfire Combo Dinner with ribs and sirloin, with loaded mashed potatoes and grilled broccoli. Everything tasted delicious! The ribs were rich and peppery, the broccoli was a surprising highlight, and the sirloin was seasoned very nicely (although it could've been more tender). The loaded mashed potatoes were okay, but we'll probably try another side next time. Overall we were very happy with our food and our service. The restaurant was very clean and the ambiance was lively and seemed pretty family friendly, a great place to relax and enjoy dinner on a Saturday night!

Yelp
Food straight out of a cafeteria. Not good at all. Paid $1.99 up charge for frozen onion rings. Not homemade. Waitress was excellent though.

Yelp
My ribeye was to die for, paired with sweet potato casserole and green beans, I was in heaven! My husband has chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. That, too, was wonderful! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Got the Decadent Salmon and it was BOMB. Just a TAD salty but I honestly didn't mind it. My side was the buttered mushroom caps but the lobster sauce had lots of mushrooms in it already so I wish I had chosen another side. My daughter got the Pan Grilled Salmon with the honey lime sauce on the side. Turns out she did not care for the sauce at all but the salmon was good. We also started with the boneless buffalo wings spicy and those were so yum and tender. This was our first time here as we were just in town for a few days and I'd definitely go back. Also they close at 10pm and we came in around 9:30p. They never rushed us or made us feel uncomfortable . I definitely recommend !!

Bethany R.

Yelp
The side salad comes with eggs, which is not stated on the menu. The truffle fries were good. Fish and chips just plain, not much seasonings. Just average food, nothing to return for. The staff were excellent from front of house to wait staff, great service.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is better than cotton patch, but it's still just a chain with a lot of upselling at the table. Nothing to write home about, although the menu offers a lot of different options for different tastes.

Dorothy K.

Yelp
The pork chops aren't ever cooked well. I have heard of medium rare cooked pork. They've grilled marks and is totally rare in the middle. No seasoning or flavor.

Yelp
We went for a date night last night, our server was fantastic and food was amazing. I am fairly picky when it comes to food I pay for. I ordered the country fried steak and he ordered the aspen bleu sirloin and I can tell you both are flavored and delicious. We ordered drinks as well, I recommend the black and blue drink. Just be prepared the drinks are NOT watered down. The only thing you should really consider if a date night is that this is a family friendly restaurant so expect children to be enjoying a meal with family as well. Their pricing is better than a lot of other steak houses as well we had an appetizer, 2 alcoholic drinks, 1 Dr Pepper, 2 main courses and dessert and under $80. So this is a good place to check out. Military and veteran discount friendly as well.

L S.

Yelp
Very strange experience. The hostess did not speak louder than a whisper. The service was very slow. We got our appetizer before we got any drinks. My order was wrong but I didn't say anything because at that point I wasn't sure if I would get my plate back in a timely manner. There seemed to be plenty of staff running around but I felt ignored. We rarely go out to eat and we definitely will not return here.

Lianna F.

Yelp
The food was good. I had a blue cheese burger. The server was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant though had a distinct sewer smell that made me feel uneasy and not want to eat my food. They may need to get a new mop and use a different one for the bathroom from the one they use where the tables are .

Yelp
Mile High Meatloaf and coleslaw My second visit outperformed my first visit. Will be back for a third

Yelp
Arrived right after they opened. No complaints. Attentive service. Wide variety on the menu. Kitchen time was reasonable. Food was tasty. Portions were reasonable. Prices were in line. Family friendly but enough space and privacy between booths that we felt uncrowded. It's worth a stop.
google avatar

Kassandra F.

Yelp
I had a delightfully tasty -- reasonably priced meal. Salomon and Ashanti were the consummate professionals. There was a group of very obnoxious women complaining to them about the music (beyond their control) and they handled themselves with such grace. The level of service provided was exceptional.
google avatar

Jim C.

Yelp
Food wasn't bad but they charge for everything and NO ROLLS!!! Also charged for a "side" salad but have it listed as a side! Why don't they sell Ale' Cart?

Michaela A.

Yelp
Miss Aylin did a very amazing job. Alberto and George cook very amazing food. And also the flavor teas are very good, and also the green chile queso.

Rayni N.

Yelp
Amazing food!! Service was okay. We ordered and it took about 45 for our food to come out but over all it was really good.

Yelp
I was extremely disappointed in the food here. My friend had driven by a few times and was excited to try this spot, but it was just ok. We ordered an appetizer, spinach dip, and chips. The spinach dip was not good at all. It was very bland, lacked taste, lacked seasoning, and wasn't that creamy. The chips that came with it were fresh, though. I ordered a salad with crispy chicken bites, and it was pretty good. It came with tomatoes, onions, cheese, eggs, and croutons. It's a pretty big size and comes with a lot of salad. It was very filling, and the ranch tasted good. The customer service was ok. Overall, it was ok, but I don't know if I'd try it again.

Yelp
As reflected in my previous review, we LOVEEEEE Aspen Creek. Eat there at least once a paycheck, and have for years. But we always dine in. Tonight, for the second time, we tried Curb Side pickup. (We tried once before last summer and our order was wrong, but we just took the L and said never again. Then we agained.) We ordered three meals and something was off with all three. On the salad, I asked for extra raspberry cilantro sauce and we did not get any. Not a huge deal. They packaged the shrimp separately, which I can appreciate but the serving size was significantly smaller than when you dine in (not the price, tho ). My mile high meatloaf was baaarely warm. The gravy was still hot (packaged separately) but the meat felt like it had been sitting there a lukewarm minute. I arrived exactly at time given for pickup, so it's not like I was just letting it sit, willingly. My daughter's food was mostly right, except when I arrived, the employee apologized and said they no longer carry the drink we purchased. She offered an alternative. No biggie. The marshmallows on both of the sweet potato casseroles we received were.... raw? Not toasted? Like, literally straight out of the bag and tossed on top. I can't think of the word to use here We were missing one sweet potato casserole. I called the restaurant and explained the issue to employee #1. She put me on hold to "move to her computer screen". Five minutes later, I spoke with employee #2, who said "Oh, she's holding." And back on hold I went. When employee #3 picked up, I asked for a manager. Another hold later, I got one (April, maybe?). By now, we had finished our food, so when I finally spoke with her, I asked her to just refund my card. After another final hold, she advised that, per her GM, she cannot offer a refund, but could mail me a coupon. It's like $3 of food, so it's not a big deal but it's irritatinggggg because, like, a restaurant can't refund for missing food?? So in conclusion, 10000% recommend this restaurant.... If you're going to dine in. Definitely do nawttt recommend ordering curbside.

Yelp
Food is good, prices are average, portions are decent, menu selection is good, but service tends to be slow

Yelp
What a day! We looked at some homes for sale in Tyler, and we were just floored by their beauty. We absolutely love the NE corner of Texas and more to the point, the Tyler area. We were famished after looking at homes, and we decided to cruise the area for some restaurants. Our realtor gave us some recommendations, and Aspen Grill was one of the. Set the GPS, and off we went. Our wait was only 10 minutes on a Sunday afternoon for our large brood, which surprised me as this place looked very full and busy (usually a good indication of an recommendation). We started with apps and drinks, and WOWZERS!! The Potato Skins with Pulled Pork was muy fantastico!! Everyone loved them, and with that spicy sauce... wow! We ordered the fried pickles, as well, and they went pretty fast. A few of us ordered the Tropical Mule, a first time for all of us. It was really good. Very glad that we tried them. The wife and I like to share our plates, and we had the Bacon Burger and the Fish and Chips. Both very good meals and the fish fillets are of pretty decent size. The boys had ordered the Club Sandwich and each commented how good they were. Not every place can make a decent club, but no mistake... you'll be very happy. Overall, our service was great, the food was delicious, the atmosphere is very family style. Looking for a good meal? Check out some of their other menu items... they have a good variety for everyone. Have a beautiful Texan day and Happy Eating!!

Yelp
Love the variety of the dishes. Great mix of chicken, steak, seafood dishes. The POW Wow shrimp is outstanding. Nice sweet and tangy flavor. The Shrimp Rockefeller appetizer was equally as good. Nice mixture of flavors with plenty of plump shrimps. The catfish was okay but the batter needs to be thinned out a bit. It was too thick for my tastes and not particularly crunchy. Service was great.

Yelp
We had the accidental pleasure of stopping by Aspen Creek on our trip to Tyler. It was an amazing experience. From the delicious potato skins to the phenomenal steaks all cooked exactly as ordered, it could not have been a more perfect meal. Haley was our server and she is top notch. They're lucky to have her and we were lucky to get her for our table. It's rare nowadays to get anyone that skilled at their job. There wasn't a drink that went empty or a plate that sat dirty. She was right there taking care of everything. If I was guaranteed the same experience every time, I'd drive back to Tyler just to eat there again!

Georgann H.

Yelp
I ordered delivery from this place because the reviews looked good. I ordered the fish and chips, since I wanted something fairly light, with steamed broccoli as one of the included sides. It was very good! Hit the spot. I will probably try other dishes from them next time I'm in Tyler. The time from ordering to delivery was @30 minutes or so, which was actually less than originally scheduled. Nice!

Debra W.

Yelp
We arrived very hungry but we eat small portions. I ordered the hamburger and fries with intentions of sharing with my husband. He ordered the chili and a side salad. My hamburger patties and bun were burnt. Way over done. I ordered no lettuce extra tomatoes and some mayo. Got lettuce and one tiny tomato slice from the end so. Had to cut the core out of it, being left with little left to eat. No mayo provided. The chili was way too spicy for my husband and he loves most chili. He asked for no cheese on his salad but cheese on his chili. Received exactly the opposite. Waitress dropped the food and then disappeared for 20 minutes. We ate only a couple of bites. When she returned to the table, she asked if we were all done since we had pushed our plates to the side. She didn't even ask if there was anything wrong. We did tell her why we didn't eat it and that we had waited for her to come back. She said she was sorry we did not enjoy the meal and were we ready for our check. We bought roasted chicken at the grocers and ate at home.

Yelp
Good and service were great, however they really need to pay attention to cleanliness. The table was sticky and the glass dividers have smears and smudges all over them. The salmon and the pasta was very good. And out waitress was attentive. The kitchen needs to have more education on gluten though.
google avatar

Yelp
A perfect five star dinner. My wife ordered the Classic Aspen Salad and I ordered the 16oz Ribeye with Mac n cheese with a loaded baked potato. The steak was perfectly cooked and appeared to be larger than 16oz. The mac n cheese was creamy with pockets of cheddar. The loaded baked potato was stuffed and overwhelmed with bacon. The salad looked very appealing and my wife loved it. The waiter Aaron recommended the Pow Wow Shrimp. Shrimp was off the hook. Best shrimp I may have ever had. Great customer service and fast prep times. 100% will return. Next time to try the Pear A' Dise prickly pear drink.
google avatar

Yelp
New place for us so we had to give it a try for lunch. Got seated right away. They were helpful with menu choices. We got sirloin steaks ( well and med well) they were cooked perfect. Not too dry or runny pink. Didn't need any sauce because the seasoning was just right. Sweet potato casserole was delicious as was all the sides. They know how to make sweet tea too. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Make sure you sign up for their text program. It was clean as well as inviting. No powerful loud music so you can chat. We'll be back. Don't forget to ask for free hot boogie bread.

Parvin R.

Yelp
Fabulous children wings, fish, smothered chicken all perfect. friendly and clean environmen. good service

Sherri L.

Yelp
Emily served our group of 7 from out of town. We were seated in an area so we could fellowship comfortably. The food was fine. No complaints from our group. I try to stop by here whenever I'm in town. Keep up the good work!!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was okay- felt very chain-style. With limited options in Tyler, I would like to try a few other places, but I wouldn't necessarily remove this from the list of places to eat.

Yelp
1st steak was well done 2nd steak was extremely salty 3rd steak still bad. Asked waitress 3x for to go boxes then had to track down someone else for boxes restaurant was dead only 3 tables was me and my sister we ordered the same meal the 22oz porterhouse so if you like extremely salty steak where the cook doesn't know the difference between rare and medium well than this is the place for you. Also at the beginning we had to switch tables the 1st table we were placed at the table was so sticky my sleeves stuck to it. The manager apologized that was it. We were there about 2hrs before finally receiving our bill that was also wrong . Cost me and my sister 98 bucks for this. Never again will I go here. Don't get me started on the kitchen than you walk past to the bathroom. Disgusting floors trash everywhere 0-10 do I recremend this restaurant. Green Chili Cheese Grits USDA Choice Sirloin loaded baked potato appetizer was good got fried mushrooms.

Yelp
Tristan was wonderful as a server. So much food. Such a good food. I pove this restaurant!!!
google avatar

William D.

Yelp
Great dining experience in spacious restaurant, friendly prompt wait service. The menu choices are plentiful so everyone should find choices for consideration. The steak options are also plentiful; which was my choice. Cooked as requested and the cut of meat was very good.

Connie M.

Yelp
Everything was satisfactory . Food arrived in a timely manner, was hot and tasty. I have been to this restaurant and I have nothing negative to say about service, ambience or food. I will go back again.

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Another great meal at Aspen Creek last night. It's become one of our favorites since moving to the area. Consistently great food and drinks and reasonably priced. Ask to be seated in Spencer's section We've had him twice and he's an awesome and attentive waiter.
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
I usually have a go-to order at restaurants, but Aspen Creek is one of the few places where I have a hard time deciding because everything is so good. I'm not typically a big fan of French Fries, but theirs are well seasoned and especially good. If I don't order them myself, you can bet I'm stealing some from someone else at the table. Service is friendly and typically on top of everything, the one and only time we experienced a service blunder, they went over and above to fix it. Pro tip: join the waitlist on Yelp!
google avatar

Kirk H.

Yelp
We ordered takeout from here and were fairly disappointed. Our baked potatoes were heavily overcooked. Dry and shriveled up, with the inside separating from the skin because it was so dehydrated. Our steaks were supposed to be medium rare, but were more like medium well, and were heavily charred on the outside (so that they had a burnt taste to them).
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Excellent service, good food and a nice atmosphere makes this place prime for lunch. We ordered appetizers, meals and kids meals and the timing was excellent and food quality was good. The shrimp and grits are pretty tomato intense ( I don't mind that) and the appetizer shrimp are delicious. As a party of five we are in and out in under an hour and the pricing was fair. There's an obvious reason why this is a local favorite. The only reason they don't get five stars is because the rice was pretty season-less, the Queso was weird and the pasta was a little weird but overall we liked this place.

Yelp
Great food and family atmosphere! Service is good and the Monday night steak special for $9.99 can't be beat. Yum!!!!
