As reflected in my previous review, we LOVEEEEE Aspen Creek. Eat there at least once a paycheck, and have for years. But we always dine in. Tonight, for the second time, we tried Curb Side pickup. (We tried once before last summer and our order was wrong, but we just took the L and said never again. Then we agained.)
We ordered three meals and something was off with all three.
On the salad, I asked for extra raspberry cilantro sauce and we did not get any. Not a huge deal. They packaged the shrimp separately, which I can appreciate but the serving size was significantly smaller than when you dine in (not the price, tho ). My mile high meatloaf was baaarely warm. The gravy was still hot (packaged separately) but the meat felt like it had been sitting there a lukewarm minute. I arrived exactly at time given for pickup, so it's not like I was just letting it sit, willingly. My daughter's food was mostly right, except when I arrived, the employee apologized and said they no longer carry the drink we purchased. She offered an alternative. No biggie.
The marshmallows on both of the sweet potato casseroles we received were.... raw? Not toasted? Like, literally straight out of the bag and tossed on top. I can't think of the word to use here
We were missing one sweet potato casserole. I called the restaurant and explained the issue to employee #1. She put me on hold to "move to her computer screen". Five minutes later, I spoke with employee #2, who said "Oh, she's holding." And back on hold I went. When employee #3 picked up, I asked for a manager. Another hold later, I got one (April, maybe?). By now, we had finished our food, so when I finally spoke with her, I asked her to just refund my card. After another final hold, she advised that, per her GM, she cannot offer a refund, but could mail me a coupon.
It's like $3 of food, so it's not a big deal but it's irritatinggggg because, like, a restaurant can't refund for missing food??
So in conclusion, 10000% recommend this restaurant.... If you're going to dine in. Definitely do nawttt recommend ordering curbside.
