I had the chance to photograph a fall wedding at Aspen Meadows Resort, and the setting was truly spectacular for a black tie celebration. The golden aspens and mountain views paired with the clean, modern architecture created a backdrop that felt both elevated and deeply connected to the landscape. What stood out just as much as the scenery was how accommodating and supportive the team was throughout the process. Months before the wedding, they welcomed me to scout the property and personally took me around the grounds, which greatly supported the planning process. On the wedding day, the staff coordinated transportation to drive me and my couple downtown so we could take portraits at the top of the gondola — an incredible experience that added even more dimension to their gallery. The dinner service was delicious and thoughtfully executed, and the overall level of care from the team made the entire day feel effortless. It’s a stunning venue supported by a thoughtful, professional staff, and I can’t wait to return!

Chris from Aspen Meadows was absolutely outstanding. From the start, he went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. Chris is a fantastic and friendly driver. He made the ride enjoyable with his warm personality. His attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile really set him apart. We had to transfer to another location with lots of bags and make it back in time for our conference. He made the trip easy and made sure we got back on time. It was clear he genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Chris to anyone visiting Aspen Meadows!

Matt, the shuttle driver extraordinaire, will go above and beyond to be helpful, professional, and fill of knowledge to help his guests. But the best part is Matt is fun and a genuine soul. The resort should use him as an example to other employees! Matt should train them in making guests have a great customer experience and his interpersonal skills are beyond!

1/20/26 second time here, work trip and stayed for a week. The room (420) was nice and had plenty of room. Good darkening shades on the huge windows. Nice dining and couch area. Love the wet bar, Small fridge, Nespresso virtuo plus machine. (4 free pods/day ) Big bathroom and comfortable bed. Good TVs and good cable package. USB ports next to bed as well. Free Shuttle is on a schedule w/3 stops, so be sure to keep that info close. Otherwise you'll be stuck in town. Free airport pickup and two on specific schedules on the way back to the airport. Front desk folks are good and friendly as well. I didn't eat or drink here, but the bar looks nice & HH specials too. Never made it to the hot tub, just too far to walk in 5f temps. Too bad there's no Hot tubs in the oval area around most of the buildings... Maybe that's the next off-season upgrade? (Hint hint) Free Wi-Fi. It's nice and quiet back here and if you have your own car, it's great. If you don't and you're walking.... It's a bit far out of downtown.

Magnificent stay. The accommodations look a little dated on the outside but very nice on the inside. Wonderful Nespresso coffee in room and an amazing steamer for ironing, small touches that I value. Amazing art, excellent restaurant, and the most beautiful scenery. I would stay here again. They also have e-bikes to rent for free for 30 minutes. It’s an easy ride to town.

Best location in aspen with alpine views and with excellent amenities. Wonderful sunrise and sunset views from sauna and hot pool. Very friendly and helpful staff and best value resorts i ever stayed in!!!! Must experience this location

⭐☆☆☆☆ Beauty spot, but not beautiful service Aspen Meadows Resort is a stunning setting mountains, art, aspen trees, meadows, and crisp Colorado air. The accommodation? Think posh hall of residence. Sadly, the service is so bad it should be classified as performance art (or student jobs training). Breakfast & lunch adventures: Cold food sent back to be reheated. Cold chips! Toast ordered, never arrived, perhaps still wandering the Rockies. Milk madness: Once “out of jugs” in the restaurant, so milk was served in a teacup. Later, when asking for milk for the room, I was asked if I preferred decaf or caffeinated milk. Who knew dairy had an energy rating? Tea troubles: Asked for tea bags—told “we don’t do that.” Directed to wait at reception for housekeeping. Pushed again, and voilà! A box appeared. The solution? Microwave a mug of water like a college dorm DIY. Afternoon ghost town: Returned from a hike at 4:16 pm Sunday, terrace and bar deserted. Front desk advised not to disturb staff, they were in a meeting. When we finally ordered tea for two, we were asked: “Where did you see a sign saying we do tea?” (To be fair, they did then comp us the tea!) Front desk wisdom: Asked how to reach Independence Pass. First: blank stares. Second: “Just take Route 82.” We’d flown in from London without a car. Asked about excursions? “Get a cab.” Inspirational! Thank goodness for Uber ! Rooms: First impression, musty. AC/heating unit wheezed and clattered like a snoring roommate with mood swings. Vibe: college dorm with altitude. Housekeeping: Room service trays ( not ours) sat outside a shared entrance for over 48 hours. A new art installation, perhaps? Breakfast finale: Sunday steak = perfect. Monday steak = not. Explanation? “Chef doesn’t really know the difference between medium and medium rare.” Comforting. Tea pot tragedy: At 10am, no tea pots, because they hadn’t been washed from the day before. Staff explanation: the evening shift was overwhelmed, so maybe, if the pot washer caught up, we might get one before checkout. Checking out: Even printing the bill was a saga. Two PCs, neither could connect to the printer. Bonus mystery: An odd charge appeared on the card before checkout. Resort fee, perhaps? ($50/day for Internet, transfers, pickleball, snowshoes, and art galleries. What it doesn’t buy: toast, tea, or timely service.) One bright spot: Northora, who gamely washed a teapot herself to help us out. She deserves recognition. We came all the way from the UK for a friend’s wedding. The beauty of Aspen delivered; the resort sadly did not. Come for the scenery, not the service.

This resort is an odd mix of renovated and old. The inside of the rooms are nice, aside from very firm beds and old windows. The buildings themselves are clearly quite old and reminiscent of low end apartments, with stairs to the upper rooms you will need to haul your luggage up. I stayed here as part of a business trip but I would not stay here for leisure. I can see where it strives to be a luxury property, but it is not there. It is a decent place to stay overall but it is not the luxury experience advertised. I did not find it to be worth the price.

Fantastic setting and food! Unusual dishes presented beautifully. Menu apparently changes frequently, but servers are well-versed and helpful in guiding you. One of Aspen's best restaurants

worst service I've ever had in aspen. Wait staff is in no hurry at all, crumbs on chairs, tables, and sadly glasses. The hostess was confusing to talk to. Once we finally got our table our waiter did not show up, we left after waiting without water for 15 minutes. Very sad experience in our happy place. Gorgeous views but that is literally it.

I love this place because of the survive and the food was exceptionally delicious, there is a great atmosphere and unique food made from high quality ingredients. Over all I think I would definitely come back. It is right next to a ski mountain which I like and the staff is pretty good. If it was in aspen village itself I would probably give it five stars. It just got a remodel so it is nice and clean. I also love how spacious it is. The building isn't connected with the hotel room , and with it being all apart it is a little hard to get around in the snow. For example to get to the hot tub was cold was and long to get there

Such a stunning space. Minimalistic Bauhaus decor & architecture. Very helpful friendly staff. Quiet. Peaceful. Proximity to town & river. Free shuttle to downtown aspen every 30 min. Very excellent experience.

This is one of the best places I have stayed at. I loved every single thing about this place. The service here is top notch. Warm and welcoming, I look forward to staying here again. From the moment, I walked in I was in love. The service was amazing. It is Aspen and I was already expecting some snottiness. None of that, thankfully. The place is set up like condominiums inspired by Bauhaus. It's open and welcoming. The snow makes it more pretty. The room itself was spacious and huge. There is your room with a sliding door for privacy, a kitchenette and a living room. It took me probably 10 minutes walking around the room closing the blinds. What a workout. Buffet breakfast was delicious and bonus points that it is included in our rate. Again, the service was superb and top notch. The hotel offers a shuttle to the airport and downtown Aspen. I did have a hard time getting an Uber or cab maybe due to it is the holiday season. This place was superb and what made it better were the deer sightings. I hope to be back soon and enjoy what this beautiful place has to offer.

If your a menopausal woman. We were 3 sharing a room for a girls trip. Beware and stay away from this resort. Our room was "HOT" stinky and musty! I wish I had known there was no AC. Even worse the refrigerator was turned off hence the horrible smell. There was mold in the bathroom. The rooms are on the larger side. Perfect for a family and the views were beautiful. The staff was very nice but when I complained about the heat. All they did was send up a second fan. I am from Florida. I have never stayed in a hotel with no air conditioning! Ridiculous when paying over 600 for the night!

Aspen meadows is a gem. The size alone of the resort is great just to walk around and explore. The check in process is pretty easy and standard, though it can take a while to get to your room if it's farther than the reception area. The rooms itself are spacious but minimal. They remind me of an large European apartment. I was lucky to stay on the river which was amazing and the to hear it running at night was great. Although the walk into town is probably a good 20 mins they do have a shuttle that picks/ drops you off at various places in town.

Spectacular service and unique and warm accommodations made for a special weekend. The health club was terrific, the dining pretty darn good, and the attentive and friendly staff all made this expensive ($200 per night) hotel worth it. A walk on the grounds twice per day is highly recommended but watch out for the wildlife poop. We will be back but will look for a special price. While we were there it was 40% occupancy. No wonder as it is too pricey with many other Options nearby.

These are pics of the bugs in my bed. When I called the front desk to change rooms, they said no. Instead they sent a maid to vacuum the bugs & had no other solution. We're sleeping on the fold out couch tonight.

This place is wierd configuration. There is only one place to park which is an underground garage. No elevator. They take you to your room in a golf cart and then the walk is long probably 1 mile back to the lobby. I was taken to my room, I am 70 and needed help getting luggage upstairs. I was going to walk back to my car to get my computer and a huge bear was within a few yards of the golf cart. I was 10 minutes away from walking back. The bear then went into the garage, I asked the host if it would break into my car. She asked if I had food in the car. I did because I had been doing a road trip. I literally could have easily have been killed that night. I asked if they was normal and she said 3 or 4 live around. It is dark, no way to safely park by your room. It's nuts, avoid at all costs. I am trying to get my $1000 back for two nights. They jacked up the price for the second night.

What I love most about this place: I like that the rooms were spacious, clean, and modern--you get the feeling this is a world class place to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful with shuttling its guests back and forth to town. We could fit a family into a suite and there were two flat screen TV's so one person could watch the news in one room and another the Olympics in another at the same time. The WiFi signal was good enough for social media and email to be alerted to emergencies but no cellular signal so no routine phone calls. This is the perfect place to decompress from a hectic city life. The catering tasted world class (specifically the pastries and breakfast). I like the COVID safety protocols and outdoor dining options. The pool, hot tub, steam room and gym looked organized and hygienic. The Aspen Music Festival and other conferences look world class. I recommend feeding one's artistic and technical appetite at the Aspen Music Festival, Aspen Institute, Aspen Center for Physics or witnessing some innovative children's musical and reading events (e.g. Tunes and Tales) at the Pitkin County Library. I also like the new signage near the check-in building. The staff go above and beyond the call of duty: Our connecting flight got rebooked and arrived super late--the staff saved us a dinner and took us to the grocery store so we could buy some groceries. My spouse left her backpack in the back of the shuttle and the driver helped her find it. My son ran and scraped his knee and the pool staff found a bandage in the first aid kit for him. If I had any questions about ambassadors and royalty are treated, stay here and experience it! Some trivial knits that I think the management could stay on top of to maintain its world class ranking: I thought virtually all of the shuttle shuttle drivers drove safer and more professionally than I could with one minor exception. Thus I think the management could continuously train and monitor its newest employees on safe defensive driving practices such as stopping the shuttle while using any potentially distracting hand held device. Since this is a world class facility, I think consumables such as light bulbs and batteries in the TV remotes, safes, and lamps could be more pro-actively tested and inspected between guest visits to ensure a more uniform guest experience. I think more careful oversight of first guest impressions before guests arrive would be one area for getting ahead of guest expectations. Other than that, I spent a lot of time contemplating any actionable steps this management team could take as I got the impression this team was operating at some insanely higher level helping millionaires temporarily experience what it must feel like to be billionaire for a night here. Overall, I love the place and would highly recommend it to conference planners, family, friends and colleagues! I think the management appears to be on its A-game and busy motivating and inspiring some of its newest employees to meet the exacting demands of their guests. Some of the long-time employees exude an amazing pride in their craft I felt inspired just listening to that I think would be inspirational for anyone in the hospitality business to witness. It is going above and beyond in resuming its operations during an epidemic of COVID which is pretty impressive in it feels like we need an extra level of effort from staff and and extra level of patience from the guests during these challenging times of resumption and restart.

Disappointing! The grounds are lovely but the room we are in right now is VERY worn. I'll post pics tomorrow. It is absolutely not Deluxe Mountain View Suite with additional upgrade as we paid for, and not as pictured on Website & business owner reviews. Also bugs are all over room just as pictured in the review posted by guest 6 days ago. Service so far by hotel staff is lack luster.

Five stars go to the staff who were so gracious and helped me all week! Tanner was the best! Everyone was super helpful! I gave this review four starts because of the property. Of no fault of the staff, the wear and tear on the property could use some refurbishing.

Beautiful resort with Bauhaus architecture; art, sculpture and artistic landscaping complement the clean lines of the buildings. Serene walking paths run through the grounds. When you arrive, you leave your car in a garage and are taken by golf cart to your room. The resort is therefore quiet and uncontested, and ideal for walking or riding bikes (free to rent from the health center, which has a pool, hot tub and workout room). Two story buildings scattered throughout the propriety house the units. Suites are spacious, clean and modern, with either balconies or patios. My only critique was the lack of supplies in the kitchen such as cutlery, plates and glassware for only two despite a table for four, and no bowls. Also, we could definitely hear the footsteps of the people above us, so the noise level of the buildings was higher than in some more traditional hotel buildings. A free shuttle will take you into Aspen and back. Staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back, especially in summer, when prices are affordable and the grounds are gorgeous!

Super cute charming resort. Cozy main building with coffee bar/bar and restaurant with breakfast buffet downstairs. Beautiful views. The rooms are like cute one bedroom apartments with kitchenette/no stove. Heated bathroom floors. Wall of widows for gorgeous mountain views. All the essentials including hot tub and spa on sight.

Not sure how I feel about this place. It's nice but a little pretentious. The rooms aren't cozy or even hotel-like. They remind me more of college dorms. The walls are thin and I could hear everything. The room layout is a little odd. Room service is decent. You have to walk outside to get to your room- which sucks when it's freezing with a ton of snow out. The views are pretty ...but not enough to give this place more stars. Also, the rooms take FOREVER to heat. At one point I was convinced my unit was broken! If you want to adjust the temperature by 4 degrees - be prepared to wait HOURS.

Aspen Meadows is a nice hideaway from the bustle of Aspen. They offer a peaceful place to stay and also provide free shuttles to town (every half hour 24/7). They offer airport pick up from ASE. The resort is just finishing up construction, but we still found the temporary welcome counter to be beautiful and inviting. All employees have been an absolute pleasure. If available the breakfast buffet is a great way to start the day. The health club has most things you would look for as well a a fantastic pool. The guest rooms are spread out a bit but are very comfortable and spacious. We had a separate living and sleeping spaces. Both had large televisions. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. We had two patios with great views. The kitchen was equipped with a sink (soap and a sponge), microwave, and fridge. There was a one up coffee maker and plenty of mugs and tableware. The bathroom was spacious and the water was hot. On side note- there is no air conditioning so it might get a little toasty in Summer The trials are fabulous- enjoy them!

This place is beautiful. We were to lucky to stay in the second floor at the Catto building and we couldn't have had better Mountain Views. The grounds are unreal. You have access to trails that lead to more trails without even getting in your car, the staff is attentive and super friendly and the rooms are clean. If I could dock about half a star, it would be solely for the lack of AC in the rooms, which did cause the room to get hot but when I asked to have two fans in the room, they happily obliged. Again, super nice hotel, close to town but removed enough aaaand super dog friendly.

Beautiful place but guest services is hit or miss. Lance seems to be the only competent person over there. But the hotel did not inform us there was no ac in our room in the middle of august. When I asked about this at the front desk, Bill (I believe) shrugged and said, it's on our website. Construction started outside our unit the second day we were here and clouds of diesel fumes were rolling into our room and I asked them what they could do about our place because we couldn't sit outside on our deck. Bill shrugged again and said I could move you to a downgrade or you can wait for another unit to open up this afternoon. This place is clearly books at 100% capacity during covid, which in my opinion with the short staff and all is poor form.

I don't usually leave reviews after my good/bad experiences, but I couldn't let this one pass. We booked Aspen Meadows for three nights for mid February 2022. This location is NOT an actual resort! The website and advertisements are total scam. This location is a DORMITORY for the Aspen Institute (research camp) which closed its doors during the pandemic. We booked their "2 bedroom suite" which is NOT a resort room at all - It was a dorm apartment donated by some professor a few years ago. The owners somehow managed to get Wyndham Hotel to "manage" the property in order to make up for the lost revenue. They added a few paintings, front desk balconies to staged a hotel entrance - also built a bar/restaurant out of their conference hall. Most employees are not from the hospitality world... What you see on the website is all made up with random images. Want a cheap looking college dorm ambiance to your next luxurious Aspen vacation? You found the right place!

We walked in the front door the young lady I could tell with her accent is the same one we spoke to over the phone.There Were the heavy duty plastic heavy barriers before we could get a word out of our mouths, she asked us to go get our mask out of our vehicles. We did have them with us, we just felt like at a resort they would have offered a mask for guest when they arrive. You never know where they're coming from and what their regulations are. This was the end of the fourth month of Covid at this time. As for this resort it felt like A throwback of my College campus days in studio dorms. Looks like 1970 dorms all around you. They are clean, inside and outside very outdated but functional. After you check in they give you a brown bag filled with soap and shampoos to take to your room. There is no air-conditioning on these beautiful 78° plus days. Check in is at 4 o'clock the rooms are hot or very warm when you arrive. You are in Aspen,the views sell themselves. We specifically asked is it walking distance to downtown and asked if the rooms had been renovated, updated and asked how nice the resort was? She went on to say that everything was just about a mile and a half away everything was in walking distance it's been recently renovated. When we walked we recognized the young lady with the accent at the front desk she informed us it was 25 minutes to walk downtown but there is a 24 hour shuttle. You park way over by the tennis courts in covered parking. You better hope you do not have any medical conditions and you have good health and don't mind a lot of walking. Downtown Aspen is everything you would expect it to be in more. If I was giving a review on aspirin it would be a five star. We tried to call the shuttle several times it took us almost 30 minutes to be able to get a hold of someone to get picked up by a shuttle to return to our room at 9:30pm. The following day we called for a shuttle at 6pm and was told we would have to get a cab back that they stop running at 8pm!!! We felt like we were intentionally missed lead on trying to get a sale on the reservation/ just trying to get us on the resort. I think next time will book something closer to downtown with walking distance to the restaurants that's much more updated that has air-conditioning. We are staying here a few days I woke up Monday morning at 7:30 to nonstop construction work hammering and banging. "Dream big or don't dream at all, baby."

We were on a motorcycle road trip from CA to SD. We had a planned stop in Aspen but did not book in advance. I called the hotel directly from the road and Izzy was super helpful. The staff was great and the room and facilities were beautiful. Great value IMO.

Very nice resort. Peaceful, attentive staff, comfortable rooms and lots of space to roam around. I had a one bedroom suite with a sitting area. Bed was comfortable, sofa and desk area were nice and easy to spread out on and work. Only complaint is that the TV in the living room was a bit small to watch from the sofa. The grounds are very peaceful. It is an easy hike/walk into Aspen. You can get a bike from the health club and there are miles and miles of biking trails. It is not a resort in the sense of today's "mega resorts". It has a nice workout facility and a nice size pool and hot tub. Nice restaurant and good service. I will be back.

I love the rooms! They're more like apartments. Clean, beautiful views, and awesome amenities including a complimentary shuttle into town. When they learned it was our anniversary they sent us a bottle of wine, which was very thoughtful! One bummer - the room key card machine was down so every time we left our room we had to go to the lobby to get let in. I should have asked to have them waive the resort fee seeing as we couldn't use any of the resort features due to not having a key to anything, but it was only an overnight stay and the wine was a nice gesture. We also booked on Hotwire, so ended up only paying $92 for the room!

Such a great experience. I got sick on the last day and the front desk was so nice, they allowed late checkout and kitchen cooked me chicken soup, that was not on the menu. Just wow. It's so nice to get pampered like that when you get sick on vacation. The room was spacious and nice. It was cleaned every day. Overall, great experience.

This was a review that I started a couple of years ago and finally got around to finishing. So please call them to make sure that this is accurate! The four stars are all for the beautiful grounds and the large suites. And when I say beautiful, I mean stunning. There are Birch trees everywhere and we were there for the leaves falling. It was totally magical. But given the many inconveniences, this place is just not worth the money unless you are going there to ski in the winter when I suspect the experience and service is much better. First, the rooms are HOT. Knowing that late October brings nighttime weather in the 30's, we were prepared with footie pj's for our toddler. Well that was a mistake! During the day, the rooms cook with the sun. We actually had to move our little guy's crib into the master bedroom during nap time because the other rooms were in the 80-90 degree range. And the temperatures only went down after 6 when the sun was down. So forget about any nice tea time and reading in your suite to enjoy the fall colors! You must close all the shades and avoid the patio or you literally will be sunburned. And even with everything closed up, it is HOT. The curtains aren't blackout so the mountain sun turns the room into an oven. Oh, and since you'll be forced to have all of your windows open from the heat, you'll want to know that they use noisy and stinky mowers and leaf blowers right outside! So get ready to breathe in lots of gasoline fumes!! For the astronomical cost of this place, they really need to consider air conditioning. Second, the 'breakfast buffet' is not an everyday occurrence. They only offer it if they are full (which means only on some weekends or in the winter.) Although they told me they had it daily and happily took my money ahead of time to pre-pay for it! One of the criteria that we look for while traveling is some sort of a breakfast buffet, even if it is just continental style with toast, fruit, cereal, coffee and muffins. And we don't mind paying! When traveling with a toddler, breakfast is often the only good meal they get all day. We chose this hotel because they had the buffet option. We paid $24 per person, per day. Well, during our week long stay, they only had the buffet twice. When we complained, they told us to 'choose anything' from the restaurant menu. Those of you who have toddlers know that this is really hit and miss! You order eggs, and your kiddo decides they want pancakes. Which is why a buffet is ideal. little bits of fruit, one pancake, one egg and the toddler can pick and choose and ends up having a solid meal. And even ordering from the menu, many items were unavailable! When we asked to get the continental breakfast (assortment of pastries, muffins, etc) the waiter told us not to order it, they were out of most of the items and the leftovers were 'nothing to write home about' and 'came in plastic'. And although most of the staff was very friendly, there was one waiter who was so rude to us! When I expressed confusion about the lack of staff in the dining area (and that they seemed so dismayed that we were there!) I asked if perhaps we had come to breakfast too early and had gotten the time wrong? Well he actually told us that we were there in the wrong season! Well it was too late to change our plans so we dealt with it. As I'm writing this, it's our last day here. It's 3:30pm and I am sweating with the heat in the room. Oh how I wish we had stayed at elsewhere!

This place was amazing! So much space and such beautiful views, my kids (3&5) loved riding their scooters around and exploring the grounds. Every building has spectacular views from the restaurant to the fitness center and pool. The staff was exceptional, everyone was very friendly and always said hello. They also had great COVID policies so we felt very safe. We will defiantly be back!

Just heading home from 5 days at this amazing resort! The facilities are beautiful. Most amazing staff! I especially appreciate Bill (front desk) for his help and humor this week and Angel (our shuttle driver) for the fun conversation and information on the area (including pointing out Lance Armstrong's house!

The resort is pretty and close to trails but the staff were awful and the rooms- meh- definitely not 4 star. Front desk staff and those working in the dining area were very put out about being there and downright rude at times. Plus there is NO air conditioning. When I called to ask for a fan for our 85 degree room the front desk gave me slack, initially saying too bad but when I pushed he begrudgingly brought one. When we wanted to sit out on the open air deck we were told no one could sit there unless you order food (it's a giant seating area and no one was there mid afternoon) but there is no where else to go because everything else is closed off for Covid. Overall everyone seemed angry or annoyed to have to deal with patrons. My partner and I travel all the time and have never had an experience like this, book elsewhere.

Wow what an awesome place. The only thing that beat the huge room and incredible views is the staff that works here. This place truly deserves 5-Stars. In the future I will actively seek out a stay here again! I have one suggestion to the ownership to hire a bit more help in the late night hours. It seemed like there was only one guy working (he was very tentative) however it took a bit longer than it should to get through to the front desk at night. Thank you all for making our vacation memorable.

We checked in earlier today and unfortunately the room next to us was incredibly loud and not considerate of their noise levels. I decided to call the front desk and Todd answered, apologized, and came up with a solution instantly. He was able to accommodate us with a nicer room in a quieter building and helped deliver all of our belongings to our new room in a timely fashion. Todd went over and beyond to accommodate us. The staff is professional.

Absolutely love this modern appeal but reclusive resort! We stayed in the Queens junior suite and it was extremely spacious with a living area, bedroom, bathroom with dressing area, separate shower tub area, dining area, outdoor patio, and kitchen area packed with a mini sink, storage with plates and utensils, kuerig, two bottled waters, refrigerator, and microwave. There were two TVS in the suite, one in the living/dining area, and another in the bedroom area. There are hiking trails, sculptures from the aspen institute, tennis courts, fitness area with swimming pool, hot tub on site. They also have a complimentary shuttle service into town.

Seriously loved this place. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it easily fit the 4 of us. The pullout couch wasn't the most comfortable bed in the world but what pullout couch is? The room was clean with modern decor. Our room had 2 tvs, a microwave, keurig, and some plates, mugs, cups and wine glasses. It's nice to not have to come prepared. The managers were so helpful and welcoming, the grounds were so lovely, and the view is really perfect. It was so nice to open the shades in the morning and take in the the scenery. My dog also really enjoyed all the open grass to run around in. That was one big benefit of staying here rather than one of the hotels on main street. It's really tucked away, about a mile from any real traffic. The have a couple of tiny trails where you can take your dogs for a quick morning walk. They have a 24 gym and heated lap pool - we didn't get to make use of it but wished we did. They also have free bikes you can rent for up to 4 hours. My husband and I took them out to ride around the neighborhood. It's a fun way to see the area. They also have free covered parking - always a nice perk. I really hate paying $15+ a night to park. Since it's off-season, the room was very reasonably priced - I imagine this is not the case between November and February. They also offer a shuttle into town that runs regularly. If the weather is nice, it's close enough to walk though. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast for $22pp. It's a pretty decent spread - we filled up both days and were good until dinner. Their coffee is also pretty good - always appreciated :) Overall, if we are ever back, I think we'll choose to stay here.

Parking was pretty far from my room. I'm young and fit but it was still an inconvenience. Staff was friendly and I did enjoy the Wecycle and free shuttle services to town. Not really walking distance to most restaurants and bars, so the transportation was a plus. Three stars because no AC and I stayed in summer. There was a sign on the wall that explained that you don't need AC because you can close the blinds and let the open the windows and let the mountain air cool the room. Good in theory but not so much in practice. Was a little uncomfortably hot during the day and then at night it would get too cold. Also a bunch of fruit flies got in which was kind of gross. Overall it was a nice room and view for the price, still probably wouldn't stay again because of the AC and parking situation.

So disappointed in this property. The conference facilities are nice but the accommodations are far from worth the price. The room is large and comfortably appointed but is reminiscent of university housing. I did not appreciate all of my amenities being unsealed/previously opened, my faucet caked with buildup, lots of moths in the room. But most of all, I am furious about being put into a room that reeked of mold.(The maid came in without even knocking, saying she thought the room was vacant -- it probably is vacant usually unless there's a large conference as was the case during my stay.) When we asked to try another room, we were shown one in the same building that smelled even worse. I feel like I wasn't taken seriously at all until I told them I'm sensitive to mold (who isn't) and they better tell me if there's a mold problem there. They then spilled the beans and said that building had a leak in the basement a while ago. That's when they moved us to a room in another building that smelled much better but still had a faint funny odor.

Stayed here last year during the Aspen Food & Wine Festival... Beautiful on so many levels. The service was impeccable. Golf carts shuttled me back and forth between the front desk and my room on the other side of the property (overlooking a beautiful stream). The waitstaff treated us like gold. The grounds are stunningly beautiful - Aspen trees framing vistas of mountains still snowcapped deep into the spring, verdant fields of wildflowers, the aforementioned stream whose sound was so enchanting I left my balcony door open well into the night just to listen to it. Great challenging hiking trails. I sang my "Stay Away Bears" song very loudly to avoid any close encounters. The rooms themselves are beautiful, too. Bauhaus style, flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations, comfy beds and couches and a spa-style bathroom impressed me. The shuttle into the heart of downtown impressed me even more - in my many travels, I find it rare that high-end hotels offer shuttle service anymore, while the Holiday Inn-types almost always do. This was a refreshing change of pace. Going back to Food & Wine this year but staying elsewhere, not by my choice. : (

Beautiful setting, 10 minute walk from downtown or shuttles every 15 minutes to town. Very pleasant spa with a fully equipped gym, salt water swimming pool and hot tub. Excellent service with a delicious restaurant overlooking a magnificent scenery. Definitely would recommend when in Aspen next!

Very nice room. spacious. Comfortable spa robes. We got a room that's facing the mountain and it's pretty pleasant to view the great scenery when waking up. It has a small portion with plates utensils, fridge and microwave. It's a well equipped studio. It also has fitness club and jacuzzi. And if you want to go around town, they have shuttle services to help you go around, e.g. Aspen mountain, but not Snowmass though. Only thing i don't like is that their garage is located a bit far from the housing. You can either walk you garage alone or ask the resort staff to help with their golf carts. And in all, the staff are nice and it's a nice stay.

We loved the secluded and expansive layout of this resort and we were delighted to watch several deer meander through the open space that the property backs to. The floor to ceiling windows allowed for a very airy feeling to the rooms and I loved the clean, neutral tones and the pop of colors on the exteriors. The reception was friendly but didn't seem overly willing to help get our bags from the parking garage to our rooms, which turned out to be a fairly long walk with heavy luggage, in the rain. No matter, we managed just fine. I would most likely stay here in the future, fingers crossed that the remodeling of the restaurants are complete.

Great location, lovely if old Architecture & Decor. Great views from the different units, great bar area & restaurant, excellent Gym. Very cool to sit outside in the hot tub when it is snowing over the mountain. The service from front desk to bell boy is very good, we loved the free shuttle which runs very 30 mins to downtown. we didn't like the heating system which didn't work well with -6of outside we couldn't get the room above 55of. not good enough for The mountains of Colorado Favroite part was the windows which are huge allowing for superb views.Aslo the gym, swimming pool & hot tub. Fix the heating!!

This is the third time we are staying here and the setting is really wonderful. The rooms are spacious, and it's a nice trade-off to downtown. The views are beautiful and there are a lot of things to do, trail to go on, borrow a bike, etc However, the service is average to mediocre for the price. Staff is basically present but uninterested, it seems like this place is run by seasonal staff and not professional one. The gym is dirty, with towels and dirty stuff everywhere and even though the pool is in a superb setting, it lacks maintenance and cleanliness.

The physical area is lovely. The room is lovely. Clean, comfortable. All you'd want. The staff is COLD! When we drove up the "Head of Customer Relations" was standing outside chatting. He made no move toward our car. In fact my husband interrupted him to ask if we were in the right place. I got out of the car and started toward the lobby. Larry looked me up and down as if I were meat on a hook that had been out for too many days. We went inside and were greeted coldly by the receptionist. In as few words as possible she showed where our rooms were. Guess what - you have to park your car in the garage and haul your bags to the room.... Oh, you need a bell hop to help? Good old Larry will help. The "concierge" who drives the shuttle to town is nice. Not one to start a conversation but will do his best to answer in a friendly way. Previous comments about the restaurant ring true. Who has a hotel and closes the restaurant all day Sunday and Monday? You can eat in the bar if you want one of maybe 5 choices, most of which are hamburgers. The grounds are lovely, just stay away from the staff!

I highly recommend this place should you really want to get away. Logistically, it's a 15 minute ride from town. The rooms are spacious and very convenient considering they have a kitchenette. The views from your room are stunning. The hotel has a fitness facility, pool and cozy lounge. The staff is friendly, helpful and full of information. There is a shuttle that leaves the lobby every half hour.

Sitting in the small, best kept secret of Aspen. You might find yourself seated next to some of the great minds of our time or maybe a local like myself. Either way you will be amazed by the views and the food. Sunset here will impress even a Californian. The Menu is a limited menu but should satisfy most. So, if you find yourself in Aspen and need a little different view. Come down and sit on the patio. Oh, service is slow but you are on vacation or you live here. What's the hurry?

My wife and I stayed here for a night for our anniversary and everything about this resort hotel was great. We had a 2nd level suite with a nice view of the mountains and the amenities inside the room were updated and high quality. The suite had the bedroom and office areas separated which was nice. Also, it came with two HDTVs that had more channels than most hotels seem to do (with actual HD channels). The hotel was able to accomodate our early check-in and late check-out without any problems. Since we told them it was our anniversary, they sent a free bottle of wine to us ($38 value per the room service menu). Also, their current promotion included two free vouchers for their breakfast buffet, which is normally $20 per person. That sounds like alot, but wow...that breakfast was amazing. High quality items all around including a cook to make you omelets by request. The grounds are very well maintained and there are many sculptures and paths to walk on, which are lit up at night. The only complaint I have is that the parking garage is a little far from the buildings so you hopefully have some roller bags if you want to avoid tipping a bellhop. I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a nice place in Aspen to stay. I'm sure it is pricier in the tourist season, but $212 a night for what we received was excellent.

Would I stay again .. In a heartbeat. This place was AMAZING . Supper friendly staff , clean rooms and breathtaking views . If I ever visit Aspen again I will stay here . Hands down awesome thanks for the wonderful stay .

To start this review off fairly, I think I need to preface- depending on which room you get, your love for Aspen Meadows Resort will either be strong or waver a bit. The first night I was there, I got an upstairs corner room. I was in love. I loved the Bauhaus styled furniture, all the windows along the walls and the small kitchen and kitchen table. We had brought our dog with us, and it was nice that we could quarantine him off to the bedroom with the wall divider. The bathroom was clean and extremely functional. The resort itself was quiet, peaceful and serene. The second day, we had to switch rooms and that's when my love wavered a bit. This second room was not a corner room and was significantly smaller, darker, and also didn't seem as well kept. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There were mostly families and couples when I went there- so it's definitely not the most lively of places if you're single and looking for a hook up. If you want a quiet retreat that's not too far from the center of town, I'd suggest this place. It's definitely well priced and you leave feeling relaxed.

First the good: beautiful location, well executed Bauhaus style integrating architecture and art. The grounds are perfect for a short stroll or for longer exploration. Now the bad: It's summer. It's warm. There is no breeze and the rooms have no air conditioning. My room is stifling. There is no way I'm going to be able the sleep tonight, or the rest of the week. Even with all windows open and the fan on it's not getting any better. I stroll across to the only restaurant on property for dinner. It's closed for a private function. The bar area was packed (and hot). They offered to drive me into town - but I don't want to do that. I want to enjoy the resort. He's a strong message to the management team at Aspen Meadows: Yes I know you want to make revenue from your restaurant, but closing the **ONLY** restaurant is incredibly disappointing and disruptive to your guests. While I was figuring out what to do there were at least 4 other groups of people who were turned away. They were not happy. I'm not happy. I'll update my review as the week progresses - but thus far this is very much a "meh" experience. **Updated review: Well it turned out that with the windows open the room was sufficiently cool for sleep (and the bed was very comfortable!) The grounds are amazing; sculptures and earthen-works wherever you turn. Spent a fun afternoon just exploring. Shuttle rides to and from Apen were quick and run spot on time. Couldn't ask for better. I've upgraded my review to three stars - but can't go any higher due to more issues with the on-property restaurant that I visited for dinner on Wednesday 16 July. Issues: 1. I asked to be sated outside. "outside dining doesn't open until 8:00" was the curt reply from the rather dismissive lady at the front. (when I went into the restaurant it looked like the outside area was set for a private event (mobile bar set up - but who's to know? certainly the hostess wasn't going to explain...)) 2. I was seated. Water was promptly delivered and I sat, and sat, and sat. And I sat..... I could see two waitstaff working three tables (mine was the 4th). The waiters each made several trips to the other tables to take orders, drop off or engage in discussion. Both waiters breezed past me several times. But no one stopped. No one said "with you in a minute", no one offered me a drink beyond water, no one seemed interested in talking an order... After 10 minutes I got up and left. I told the hostess that I'd sat for 10 minutes with no greeting and no offer of drinks. She really didn't see very interested. So, overall: Beautiful property; great architecture, prompt and efficient shuttle service. On site restaurant is a disaster, Plan to eat in town if you stay at the Meadows. (After walking out of the Meadows restaurant I wound up eating at Rustique Bistro, which was a great choice it turned out. Excellent and attentive service and great food). During my stay the General Manager came across with a bottle of wine and a fruit plate which I really appreciated - its great to see that staff read Yelp! reviews.
