Aspen Music Festival and School

This well-established music venue is a great part of Aspen's tradition. People attend the many Fine Arts events here on a regular basis, all summer. You may get everything from classical music to whatever is on the docket. Seating is superb with great acoustics, the setting is quite charming, and the people you will bump into are often from all over the planet. Overall, this is something you do not want to miss when the opportunity presents itself upon a visit to Aspen.

I had the most fabulous Aspen 4th of July mainly because of the Aspen Music Festival and School! Their free concert in the Benedict Music Tent was amazing and really made my 4th of July extra special. Spectators picniced on the grass with their wine and cheese. So cute!! And to top it all off I happened to stay at the Aspen Meadows Resort which is on the very same property just minutes away from the tent. The hotel rooms are super spacious with gorgeous views and due to the holiday being mid week I got a great deal! Check out the concert schedule and if you need a place to stay, I highly recommend the Aspen Meadows.

Blissful and Magical! With almost 200 performances this season, AMF is celebrating its 76th year. The summer concerts are given at different locations, with the performances held at the Michael Klein Music Tent being my favorite. All lawn viewing are Free, including rehearsals and day/night of. The sound system is great outdoors as it is inside. A few guest artists I was looking forward to this summer were Lang Lang, Patti LuPone, and, Xian Zhang. Sweet memories of beautiful music heard. One of the best "to do" in Aspen during the summer. There are a few ways to go see some of the worlds best classical performers. The best way is free and great way to enjoy a nice afternoon in Aspen. The Benedict Music tent is surrounded by a grass field and meadows its the ideal way to enjoy the music and its free to-boot. So take a picnic lunch, some wine, a blanket and join all the locals on the grass. You won't be disappointed. Unless it rains, but if it does take a quick walk over to The Aspen Meadows Resort. Sit down at Plato's and undiscovered and under rated restaurant in Aspen. By far one of the best menus for 100 miles or more!

We hired a student quartet for our ceremony on the Wedding Deck. Part of the draw to hiring students, admittedly, is that Silver City Strings is the big quartet in the area, and they charge a premium. AMFS charged 60% less. The students played beautifully; they're very talented professionals. We're thankful that they were available. We called early because we had heard that they're on high demand in the summer. Our ceremony was delayed due to weather, and they performed a classical concert for our guests in the AMC. We're so appreciative for their professionalism and talent, and would certainly book with AMFS again.
