Affordable and comfortable place to stay while in Aspen. Worried about the prices of Aspen accommodation for a family of four around Christmas time, we didn't know what to expect but what a spot!! Right in the heart of Aspen, we walked everywhere. Large and roomy with a full kitchen. We couldn't ask for any more. We have a top floor room overlooking the gondola to the ski fields, and yet affordable. Right across the road from a city market, we couldnt ask for anymore. If you want affordable in the heart of Aspen, Stay here. It's had everything you need and more.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Aspen is tough - you aren't sure what you will get with a hotel that's considered "affordable." The room was huge and had everything we needed. The location was excellent - we walked everywhere from the hotel. Parking was included which is huge because options seemed limited. The staff were friendly. The view from the balcony was lovely. It was in need of a facelift but nothing really to complain about. I would stay again.

Aspen Square Condos is perfect in every way. I wish I could remember the names of the extremely professional and helpful front desk staff who were always eager to greet us and share suggestions and recommendations. They were a bright light! The room was fabulous, spacious, and so comfortable. The view of Aspen Mountain cannot be matched and we found it difficult to tear ourselves away from the balcony. Why leave the room? The kitchen was well equipped, decor was exquisite and the bed was very comfy. I loved the heated outdoor pool with its waterfall and the two hot tubs. We parked beneath the building and never had to drive anywhere due to the excellent location, close to everything and easy walks. The whole experience was wonderful!

We stayed in unit 131, corner unit, with a view of the mountain. Everything was relatively new and in good working order in this large one bedroom unit. A washer and dryer are available just down the hall from the unit. It is very close to many dining and shopping options. If you want to eat in the unit, a grocery store is next door to the building. The only negative is the shower is relatively small and relatively expensive. However, the unit is clean, and very convenient to skiing and everything Aspen has to offer.

We stayed here in June 2024. From the get-go the staff was primarily snobby and rude. The rooms are overpriced and to make things worse, our A/C didn't work. We called about it 3 times and were told "they'll get someone to look at it". They sent a maintenance man out and all he did was look at the thermostat and told us to let the room cool down longer. We had already been there for a few hours. Finally we asked for a fan because we had our 3 month old baby with us and she was hot the entire time. Housekeeping were the only nice people we encountered there. Also our flight was cancelled due to issues going on at the airport and they told us they would not refund any nights missed. So we lost 2 nights. We had an early flight when departing and there was no one at the front desk. There is a sign they leave out to call the number on there for early departures. We kept calling that number and nobody answered. Finally we decided to leave our room keys in the room. When I called back later that day to confirm they got our keys, the girl on the phone was very rude. I asked for a receipt to make sure we weren't charged anything else and it sounded like the girl got bothered I asked her to do that. She had an attitude the whole time while on the phone. Personally I think we paid too much for the rooms, especially since it was hot the entire time. Walking around the premises, we noticed other rooms with fans and windows open the whole time. Would recommend staying at a different location next time we go.

Google
This is an absolutely awesome spot to stay in Aspen. You are right downtown and every single delicious restaurant in this town is within walking distance (even in the winter), a grocery store next door which comes in super handy with a. Full kitchen in your room and the service is impeccable. The team that works here is lovely. They let us use the hot tub late in the evening and we're able to accommodate any and all needs including housing us an additional two days when flights were canceled. They were personable, so friendly and helpful and also empathetic to the situation. The gym was also nice and convenient. It was an absolute joy to stay here and if I ever return to Aspen I'll be staying at this hotel.

Hotel was great, excellent location, big rooms, comfy beds and nice staff, and talking about staff, Earl from front desk was amazing since we’ve been checking in at the lobby, he helped us giving advice about amazing spots for tourism. His service and kindness was outstanding.

Unit 110 is the unknown secret of Aspen! 50 steps from Ajax gondola, the most exquisite 4 bed, 4 bath for entertaining that you can ever imagine. Complete with a swimming pool, 2 hot tubs, and amazing amenities. Unit is setup for 4 couples or a full family with children and staff. We have never experienced such an amazing place in Aspen and it was priced WAY under market value.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our stay at Aspen Square! The bed was comfy, the view from our patio was legendary and the organic granola was the perfect touch. Located in the heart of Aspen, everything was within walking distance and we had off street parking in a garage. The lobby offered cookies, coffee and this special water infused with all natural "medicine" to help your lungs adjust to the mountain elevation. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Aspen Square Condo for our first trip to Aspen. The price is very reasonable for the location and amount of space. Our room was spacious with a living room area, breakfast nook next to the fireplace and a full kitchen. There is a wood burning fireplace and they provide the wood. Our balcony overlooked the mountains and Aspen city. The location is probably the best part, it is literally across the street from Aspen mountain gondola. The pharmacy and grocery stores are just around the corner as with all kinds of shopping and restaurants. It was nice to have the option to cook in a couple days and heat up a midnight snack. The hot tubs were nice to have after a long day on the slopes. There is only one elevator so I would take the stairs if you don't want to wait. I would highly recommend this place if you like a little more room than a traditional hotel room.

Yelp
Each room in this hotel is actually a privately owned condo. We found this out when inquired about a number of issues in our studio. Problems included: the thermostat had no control of the room temperature so we had to leave the door open to keep from being cooked, the refrigerator was not turned on, the fireplace had a reversal of flow such that our room was doused in ashes when we closed the patio door, and the Bluetooth speaker was non-functional. The larger of the two hot tubs also had a swirling mass of dead flies that was practically an island, and most of the firewood was minimally seasoned. We brought a number of these matters to the attention of the staff since one would usually expect more for over $900/night. The answer was basically "we are not sure, these are all privately owned." If you end up in room 216, best of luck.

Yelp
Location location location! Well appointed; clean; comfy beds; great storage space; soothing hot tubs after a day of hiking and close to everything! Highly recommend.

Yelp
We plan to stay here again! I'm so glad that online reviews led us to this place. Excellent location, staff, amenities, wonderful balcony, super comfy bed. The only drawbacks were that the elevator is very slow, no breakfast is provided, and they place too many decorative items in the room. There is already so much furniture and appliances and they're really in the way! A flower arrangement or two is nice, but please get rid of some of the stuff. :) Room 426 was great! Top floor, corner room, great view!!

Yelp
Parking is included and they have an underground part that does not require tickets/security- I liked that. The room was very clean and I really liked the decor. The pool and spas seem nice although I don't love that you have to ask to have them uncovered when it's 75 outside. We really enjoyed our stay in our room and appreciate all the free goodies and amenities we were provided. These are full condo-like rooms that you can practically feel at home in with all the cooking and cocktail utensils one could want. I would change the fact it's not pet friendly as that's what this town is all about, also I'd make all the decor a bit more modern... not that it's not nice but many other rooms we walked by looked pretty amazing. =)

Yelp
My wife and I have always wanted to stay here but until now, had never made it a reality. It's really a nice place overall and quiet considering you're right downtown and conveniently located 1/2 block from City Market grocer and a liquor store. The hot tubs are wonderful and towels are provided for use by the pool. The fireplace studio is perfectly appointed with comfortable furniture and a great king bed. The fireplace is great with lots of wood in the underground garage. The kitchen is fairly well stocked with basics of what most people will need. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Kudos!

Yelp
What a great place to stay in the summer. The pool area and patio are so beautiful w giant bowls of flowers everywhere you turn. Am sure winter is great to given location. The staff are so helpful. The concierge is truly a blessing, and the coffee, tea, chlorophyll water, lemonade and cookies are just the sort of touch that makes coming here a pleasure.

Yelp
We stayed in room #416. The room was dusty and old smelling. When we went to bed at night, we both itched. We were so grossed out that we checked out one day early. Upon checking out, we were not asked about our stay, nor were we asked why we were leaving earlier than expected. $400 down the drain. I called the manager and left a voice message, but never heard back. On the plus side, the location is great and there is underground parking (if you don't mind itching in bed at night).

Yelp
As a last minute plan , were not getting many options as it was hot ski season and most of places were booked , fortunately we got a 2 bed, 2 bathrooms ,availability in the dates , rooms were awesome , spacious and fully equipped with everything you need , city market is very close to this place , they don't offer breakfast but a family owned breakfast place is right next to them.staff was helpful and customer service was nice . Place is expensive but worth spending the price .

Yelp
Great stay in Aspen if you are willing to splurge a little bit. We came here in October to see the leaves change colors and drive around to Maroon Bells and chose this place for its central location to all spots in Aspen. ROOM: A pretty spacious interior with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Fully equipped Kitchen and City Market is across the street! Clean and nice facilities around as well. Reserved parking is also provided, which is key in Aspen where parking can be a little tough. There's an outdoor parking that is closer to the rooms and fill up fast, but don't worry, there's the base where the parking is abundant!

Yelp
Wonderful location. Room with Fireplace is really lovely- highly recommend it. The handling of my reservation was excellent.

Yelp
Good location , a walking distance to stores, restaurants, Aspen gondola, John Denver Sanctuary and many other places. Free parking , helpful staff. Rooms are spacious and clean, fully equipped kitchen. Some amenities need to be updated like bathrooms, elevator which was small and very slow. Needs more accommodation for people with disability , particularly bathrooms.

Yelp
Great location, friendly staff - a pool area, with a hot tub... It is, quite literally, at the base of the mountain. I was there in Fall, but if you were here to ski, this would be ideal. No dining facilities (that I found or took advantage of? perhaps there is one on site that I missed?) Parking under the building is tight but works. The hall way decor looks a little dated - but WAIT till you get in your room. Huge bed, great fireplace (real wood burning!), flat screens, stainless steel appliances and a great bathroom. This place is well worth it.

Yelp
Phenomenal rooms capture the local flavor and the staff is friendly and attentive. They also have working wood fireplaces to add a degree of cozy to your getaway. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Yelp
Aspen Square is the hotel in Aspen that is fancy enough, not too fancy and expensive, but fancy enough that you aren't complaining about being there. The location is spot on, as it's literally in Downtown Aspen. The price was affordable compared to any other place. The rooms are specific to its own, so I don't know what yours will look like. The only problems we had with the hotel was that there is only 1 elevator, so with 5 floors, it can be a hassle waiting a couple of minutes. The only other negative thing was the speed of the wifi. It is advertised as "High Speed", but it was far from that. Sites like Netflix, Amazon Video, and games like Pokémon Go were hard to use because of the slow speeds. Otherwise, the hotel was fine and we would probably think about coming back again.

Yelp
This is not a luxury hotel. There is no spa, no restaurant or room service. However, it is a wonderful place to stay in Aspen. It's 5 minutes (or less) in foot to Ajax lift. You are right in the heart of Aspen. Walk to EVERYTHING! Big rooms with kitchenettes. (Note: I typically don't love kitchenettes, and did not pick this place based on this amenity, but it is convenient to have cold beers and fruit available anytime!). We would gladly stay here without the kitchenette, but it's nice to have. Pool is good for kids and two hot tubs available. Very good spot for long stays or families. Try it out!

Yelp
This is a good hotel with a stellar location in Aspen and with quality rooms. Even the studio suites have a full kitchen and a balcony. There was an HDTV, a fireplace, even the water pressure in the shower was good. The location is close to everything. There's complimentary parking, and the staff was friendly and helpful. If I had more time to stay there, I would have loved to try out the pool and whatnot.

Yelp
This place is amazing. There are so many positives for the price. Great value! Location is perfect, everything in walking distance... Gondola, Hiking Trails, Restaurants, Shopping, Concert Venues, and even a super market directly across the street. Directly in the center of town. If you have kids it's even better! My 2 little kids were in the pool all weekend and they absolutely love this place!! Our room was huge with a beautiful view of the city and mountains right from our balcony! Big kitchen with all appliances. Customer service was so solid! This place is dope! Go there right now!

Yelp
What a great deal right in the heart of Aspen. 2 blocks to the gondola, next to city market (grocery) and a couple blocks from shopping and dining. Our studio room was modern and well appointed, comfortable and perfect for two. Has a full fridge in the kitchen almond with dishwasher, microwave, etc. All plates, dinner wear, pots and pans, etc in great shape. The bathroom is spacious and has a very nice showers good closet and drawer space. At $180 a night in October this place was a bargain. Reserved parking in surface lot and under the building. Check in and front staff were very friendly and helpful

Sue R.

Yelp
Pro's location is awesome. Right near gondola, groceries, bus and restaurants. Cons our room was not clean and not representative of photos online. Room was extremely dated, furniture was old and worn. Reason for updating my review, Management tried to say some how it was our fault for not reporting this and giving them a chance to fix. Actually got an email from one of their staff that was completely inappropriate, after they asked for a review of their property and I gave an honest review. Did they think in this day and age I did not photo the issues?? Three stars sure, given location and staff and price for Aspen lodging. Know a few things going in, elevator super small, room may or may not be as updated as shown on website or Tripadvisor. Read all reviews. Payment due 30 days in advance.

Yelp
This is by far the nicest hotel we have stayed in during our few trips to aspen for sports events. The grocery store is right across the street and the kitchen in the room is great. I would highly recommend staying here!
google avatar

Yelp
staff bent over backwards for me and my family. The price is amazing for the level of service and location of this place. I will be back for sure. Each room has a different flavor and view. I love looking at the Aspen ski slope every morning. Pool and hot tubs out door so the stars at night are worth the soak. Very high level of service.

J S.

Yelp
Excellent place to stay, definitely better than a regular hotel. Having a full kitchen was wonderful for cooking breakfast before heading out for a day of fun in Aspen or towns close by then coming back to warm fire. Underground parking and having a grocery store across the street were fabulous conveniences. I suggest staying in room 415- has a wonderful view of the mountain with a large deck.

S S.

Yelp
Stayed in the "fireplace studio" room and I was so so impressed. The shower has two heads and a steamer. Best part of the room! :) It's located in the heart of Aspen. Walking distance to everything! I was worried it wouldn't be a nice hotel since it looks kinda like an old building but it was wonderful!!

Amanda M.

Yelp
Location is amazing! The concierge was excellent and housekeeping did a wonderful job! This was our first time to Aspen and we could not have been more pleased with staying at Aspen Square Condominiums.
google avatar

Neil S.

Yelp
Location is perfect! Front desk personnel worked hard to please everyone. Special mention to Gretchen who works setting up any plan you may have scheduled. BTW, the room was just right. Queen bed, kitchen of you need and leather coach that was a pull out bed. A real value not to miss.
google avatar

Jon B.

Yelp
What a great find in the middle of town. Room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Pool and hot tubs were nice as well. Not a fancy place but that's partially why we liked it. Front desk staff was friendly as well. Will be back.
google avatar

Cassie P.

Yelp
We used to own a condo here about 20 years ago. It was awesome! You can't pick a better spot to stay if you love to ski and love Aspen. It is right at the base of the mountain and centered in all of the Aspen Action. I miss it there!
google avatar

Yelp
This place gets five stars, not because it's a five star resort but for the reasonable price point in astronomically expensive Aspen they did everything right. Condo was nicely decorated with everything we needed, bathrooms were fine and updated, nice squishy hotel robes and good towels, nice linens. The pool is lovely, provides nice towels, with a gorgeous hot tub and warm therapy pool. Friday night happy hour... Awesome! Good wine and a nice selection of food. Free, easy on site parking. And the concierge is wonderful, Linda can get anything! Ask about the in room massages, oh my Gatos!! We used the car once in four days to go hiking, so suffice to say you can walk to anything and then stumble home. The peeps are really nice, they let us have a late check out so we could soak up some sun by the pool. I'm going home to detox from several days of eating and drinking heavily. A great girls trip!!

Barbara K.

Yelp
Really nice place and very friendly and helpful staff. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Nice grounds. Excellent location right in town. Very nice pool and hot tubs. Changing rooms if you get there early to enjoy the pool area. Staff was really friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place.

Wade W.

Yelp
Went to Colorado last year to see the aspen color changes. Aspen wasn't necessarily in our plans 'cause I thought it would be too pricey. Wrong. While in Glenwood springs, called Aspen Square out of curiosity. So glad I did. We lucked into this great place and ended up spending three nights. The studio / fireplace option was fantastic, with a fall price (special) too good to be true. We are going back again and again and again.

Kelly M.

Yelp
We have stayed at Aspen Square a few times and are always happy with our choice. It's pricey but so area ll the Aspen Hotels and this one is worth it! We are a busy family with twin toddlers and the Concierge Team Gretchen and Laura are great! They help us prepare for our trip and even help with basic groceries so the kids have something to eat when we arrive. We can't wait to visit again!

Derek M.

Yelp
Nice hotel with a great location within downtown Aspen for the best price. Everything is within walking distance. The service was great and they even offer free underground parking. Our room was on the 3rd floor facing Aspen Mountain. Our room came with full amenities and a king size bed PLUS a wood burning fire place already stocked with wood. Parts of the hotel are somewhat outdated but are far from an eye sore. We did notice many families were staying there as well so just be prepared if you are looking to get away from children for a weekend. Overall a great hotel and would recommend it.

Vanessa G.

Yelp
Rocky start when I had to hunt down a luggage dolly. Elevators are TINY, make two trips, do not overload your dolly, not worth the frustrations! Once we were there...very nice, clean, great location, great views, comfortable.

Michael S.

Yelp
Hotel is nice. Great staff. Super location. Stayed in room 203. Cool set up, but very uncomfortable bed.

L C.

Yelp
very well appointed rooms, great amenities, lovely staff, needed a tad bit of updating, but overall wonderful
