Where to Find Europe's Hottest New Beach Clubs

"Meanwhile, in Mallorca, the boho Assaona is this summer’s refreshingly higher-end counter to the crush of Champagne-popping boom-boom clubs that have long attracted a certain type of frosted-tipped traveler to this Balearic island. Now its rough-hewn wooden tables, wicker chairs, and straw-fringed parasols are stealing some of Ibiza’s thunder—and sophisticated set. This is low-key and lovely; a place to graze on sublime turbot sashimi from Gervasoni sofas over seagrass rugs on cool Portixol Beach. It’s a bonus that Palma’s towering cathedral is visible from the sands."

Lovely setting and good food. I had a nice Wagyu Burger. Food is expensive but you’d expect it to be, but drinks are reasonable. Good service and will return.

CHECK YOUR BILL BEFORE PAYING! Paid 155,60€ Food was excellent! HOWEVER: -We ordered 3 mocktails. On the final bill, the waiter said he was charging us the fruits he put inside our drinks as an extra cost (we ordered fruity mocktails, so how do you expect to make mocktails with no fruits inside and charge us extra for those same fruits?). -on top of this, that same waiter man, charged those mocktails the same price as cocktails and said “because there was no alcohol inside your drinks, I’m only taking off 1€ off each drinks”. IT WAS STILL MORE EXPENSIVE than ordering cocktails with the extra fruits cost!!!! -Aperitif: we ordered the prawns which was amazing! But we didn’t ordered the bread and dips. It was just dropped on our table so we thought that was part of the menu setting. IT WAS ALSO CHARGED in the final bill: 2x2,90€ and there was one bread basket with 4 small pieces of bread inside. -the waiter was clearly not transparent and honest with us and because we came for a birthday celebration, he clearly ripped us off. -when I booked, in the instructions, I clearly mentioned we were coming for a birthday. The waiter came with a bowl of ice cream we ordered on the menu and added a candle, he came alone to sing Happy Birthday (just the end of the song) and quickly left. None of the other staff came and bothered to celebrate a guest’s birthday along. It wasn’t a rush hour or busy at all. Kudos to him for doing that alone tho. I was expecting other staff to join along with him but if that’s how they roll and it wasn’t even busy, ok! Thanks to the chef for the delicious food. Clearly the big thumb up of the evening. As I paid, the waiter said he HAVE to pay the tip as it is policy of the establishment. 🤨 We are definitely not coming back! The Tap Water they fill up at the bar faucet sink is also NOT free!!! We had to pay for it as well. TOTAL bill: 155,60€. NOT WORTH IT.

From start to finish, Annsia delivers a first-class experience. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, the food is beautifully presented, and the bar is exceptional. Mario’s cocktails stand out - original, perfectly balanced, and served with genuine care. A place that truly exceeds expectations.

A nice beach club with great service, food, and atmosphere—perfect for spending the entire day. They offer complimentary parking as well. We enjoyed it so much that we visited twice. One thing not mentioned on their website is that if they appear fully booked online, you can still go in the morning and often find available sunbeds, as many people don’t show up.

Anssia has become a staple in our summers on Mallorca. It’s not easy to find a beach club that delivers on all fronts, but this place does it—every time. The food is a highlight: fresh fish, excellent sushi, and a wine list that surprises with quality local and international labels, including a few gems I haven’t seen elsewhere. What I value most is the consistency. From the kitchen to the front-of-house team, everything runs smoothly. The staff are friendly, fast, and always professional—even when things are busy. The sunbed setup is another strong point. Spacious, comfortable loungers, well-maintained, and with proper service on the beach itself—not always a given. The sea here is clean and inviting, and there’s a calm, relaxed feel to the entire club. It’s not dominated by any one crowd—you get a good mix of Spanish guests and travelers, which adds to the charm. Bonus points for the security team and the on-site parking. It makes the whole experience feel well thought-out and effortless. Anssia knows what it’s doing, and that’s why we keep coming back.

The waiters spilled white wine all over my white dress. The starter was fine, but didn’t exactly require a master chef to slice some Ibérico. For the main course, we ordered dry-aged ribeye. The meat looked good, but when we cut into it, it was clear that the inside hadn’t reached the right temperature. We had ordered it medium rare, but it was obviously cold in the center—around 30–40 degrees Celsius at most. We sent the meat back, and 10 minutes later it returned completely overcooked. On top of that, they didn’t take the side dishes back, which meant we were left with an overdone, dry steak and cold sides. Considering that I had been soaked in white wine at what was supposed to be a fine restaurant, served poorly prepared food, and still ordered the restaurant’s best white wine, we expected at least some kind of compensation on the bill… but there was none. We paid full price plus 10% tourist tax. I would not recommend anyone to eat here. This is outright bad service.

You should definitely go there for the atmosphere. The view on the sea is top notch, it’s not too warm inside and the tables are well spaced out (really pretty set up!). We were with a large group and staff managed to deliver all meals on time.

We visited the beach club on a busy Sunday. The indoor building is really special with a great atmosphere and music. The sun beds were comfortable and the staff were quick to serve. We really liked that you could pre-book the sun beds without having to financially commit as we couldn’t trust the weather in October! We did order the poke bowls to the sun beds for lunch and were a little disappointed for the price. It felt a little chucked together with basic ingredients and a little slimy. However we saw the sandwiches being served and they looked great!
