The location and valet team were the only highlights of our stay. Beyond that, it was a frustrating and uncomfortable experience from start to finish.
Customer service was abysmal. Upon check-in, they insisted on collecting passport numbers from everyone in our party—including the kids—just to activate Wi-Fi, which ended up not working anyway. At 11:30 PM, instead of relaxing and getting online, I had to go back downstairs only to find that they had input all the information incorrectly. Apparently, I had only included two of the kids in the second round we booked they insisted we pay extra for the third one/ $130+ which was absolutely ridiculous when I saw other people have many people in smaller rooms; normal for Turkiye. Being a turkish American put me at a disadvantage.
Even worse, in the middle of July, our air conditioning didn’t work. When we informed the front desk, the only response was, “We can have someone fix it in the morning.” We were checking out the next day. The room was unbearably hot and humid—sleeping was nearly impossible. I requested a late checkout since we couldn’t fall asleep until 4 AM, and they simply said no. No solutions, no apologies, not even a fan offered. The beds were hard as a rock as well.
Breakfast was mediocre at best.
Finally, when I checked out, I asked for my car. The front desk said they’d notify valet, but 20 minutes later the valet informed me no one had called for it.
If you don’t speak Turkish, communication will be a major issue. Fortunately, I am Turkish-American, but if I weren’t, it would’ve been even more of a nightmare.
Overall, a deeply disappointing stay. I would not return or recommend this hotel to anyone.
