This is absolutely one of the best wine bars I have EVER been to! We had some truly phenomenal wine and really loved the variety. PATRICK is a genius and made our experience 100% better with his energy, creativity, and zeal for awesome flavors!! Make sure you ask him to give you something special! Overall, the vibe and atmosphere here was just perfect for our group to relax and have great conversation about wine and life together.

Great Wine Bar and Food Stopped in for lunch after a long walk around Rome. Such a great place. Our drinks were wonderful. My salad was amazing, along with the rest of the food. A decent selection of vegetarian options. Service was great as well. Would highly recommend.

Excellent food, excellent wine selection curated by knowledgeable staff, and a nice atmosphere overall. Everything we ordered was delicious and plated nicely. We were a large group and the service was well timed and never felt rushed or neglected. This was an excellent place for a special meal.

Highly recommend, the pizza was delicious as well as the limoncello spritz. The staff were very warm and welcoming. One of my favourite places in Rome so far, we will be back for sure.

We came in the morning for breakfast. I ordered an American breakfast, and my girlfriend ordered shrimp salad. After that, we took tiramisu for the dessert. Later we came back in the evening. We took Bruschetta for starters, and I took potato, ham pizza, and my girlfriend took Cappacio with bread. In the end, we took strawberry tiramisu. All food was delicious.

Astemio is a wine bar in the Monti area of ​​Rome and is a treasure for wine and good food lovers close to the Termini station and stays open until 1am . It has 3 tables outside for those who want to smoke and a warm interior for all days hours. We found a huge variety of wines from all over Italy and rest of the world . Their food is delicious and covers all tastes and prices from pizza ,pasta , tagliata and many more . The staff was very friendly and helpful both times we went and of course if you want the expert's opinion, Patrick is there to guide you through all the regions of Italy's wine roads and to recommend you the right wine for the food you have ordered. A wonderful place that you must visit when you go to Rome. Our last night , we ordered lasagna ragout , rigatoni ragout , tagliata and a caprese for salad.The food was delicious and we also tried two excellent wines, Barbaresco and an Chianti classic grand reserve from Patricks' recommendations We will definitely go back to our next visit to beautiful Rome .

We were looking for classic cocktails in Rome and we found this outstanding place! It's pure gold! Zully, the bartender, is one of the most joyful people we have found on this side of the globe! She took care of all of our drinks and prepared them with care and detail. We had a great conversation and enjoyed our night. Shout out to Patrick as well for the joy he brought as well! Highly recommended!

Service was wonderful; checking in on me, making sure everything was good, pleasant and professional. I sat outside to experience Rome and the traffic and noises were not so discerning. I'm glad I chose this place. A great place that's frequented by locals because of the delicious food. Manjar delicioso!

This tiny little restaurant near our hotel was one of the best meals we had while in Rome. If NOT # 1 then definitely #2. That is saying a lot. Frist, the service here was incredible. The gal taking our order spoke English, Portuguese and another language that I did NOT catch [no, not Italian :) We started with some cocktails; I had the Old Fashion which was perfectly made. We shared our meals so we could taste everything and everyone was happy. Of course, we had a Charcuterie board and my main dish was the octopus over mashed potatoes; amazing. My son wanted to taste the octopus but we didn't want to order the same thing so he had the fish was was so good. My daughter had a pizza and my youngest, who is the biggest foodie knew he was going to try the cacio e pepe. We were all super happy. I wanted to come back here so badly but we also wanted to try many different options. This is top 1 or 2 of all our meals.

Super cute wine bar in the Monti district. Ordered bruschetta, pizza, pasta & of course some wine. Service was pretty good as well. Would stop in again if ever in Monti area.

Astemio is the place in Rome I most wish I could revisit. First thing: The translation of "Astemio" is "Teetotaler." ;) The first night I visited Astemio just by chance because I needed to use the restroom, so I bought a drink. I liked the place so much that I returned with a friend the next night. I had a large focaccia flatbread with sun-dried tomato with burrata (or was it buffalo mozzarella?) cheese. They paired it with pinot grigio from Trentino area. All the staff spoke English well. Though the bar is owned by a man (I asked whether it was women-owned), it is staffed largely by women, which gives it a classy and happy vibe. You may need a reservation if you want to sit somewhere other than the pretty white bar. If you have a big party, see if you can reserve their private events room.

The most charming wine spot. Topped off my recent Rome trip by landing on this gem as a pre-dinner treat after a long day of sightseeing. Astemio came recommended by my hotel, and was all that I hoped for as I was interested in stopping by an enoteca at some point in my trip. That evening, it was staffed with mainly women which I loved. Really warm service. I came in as a solo walk-in and they quickly accommodated me. I stayed for 2 glasses of delicious white wine; they guided me through the choices, each spot-on with what I was seeking. Opting for what I thought would be a light snack, I went with my server's recommendation of the focaccia. Oh my...it came out large enough to serve 2-3 people. Still...I found myself consuming almost half of it because it was so incredibly good. Unlike any focaccia I've had in the States: this was fresh, warm, delectable with the perfect *crunch*...draped in thinly sliced, cured ham. SO delicious. As I waited for my food and sipped on my wine, I took in the beautiful ambiance, the wall of wine and the area where a gentleman was slicing fresh meats and cheeses. This was certainly a vibe, one that was *chef's kiss* on my last night in Rome.

A lovely find in Rome. Staffed by all women, as far as we could tell, who were super knowledgeable about the wines and willing to speak in English to a couple of tourists. Very popular place it seems, but they were able to seat us at the bar without reservations. Came to celebrate after a successful job interview!

Great service, delicious cocktails, great food, and the most amazing multilingual bartender I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.! I will be back.

We are visiting for my 50th birthday and dipped in here for the celebration dinner and drinks. The staff is so friendly with a sense of humor. The drinks were excellent and the food was the best we have had in Rome hands down. As any 50 year old woman I had chocolate cake for dinner and asked that they not recognize my birthday publicly so our server put a candle in the cake and whispered happy birthday to me! It was a lot of fun and we are going back tomorrow! I would recommend this wonderful eatery to everyone, I fact we did while dining elsewhere this evening!

Great selection of wines when in rome. This was my favorite spot in terms of the food and quality. Price was pricey but I think worth it. The sever was very attentive. The food I had cacio e pepe I can't pronounced it lol but it was damn delicious the cheese and meat platter we got was heavenly and the bruschetta was so fresh

My wife and I stayed at an Airbnb near this place so it was super convenient. However, the reason we probably ended up here at least once every evening was due to the amazing, fantastic drinks and the overall vibe. The outdoor seating near the window we especially loved. The service was also spectacular and I really liked the people working there. We ate the Bruschetta once or twice, which was excellent. My favorite drink on the menu was the Diplomatico old fashioned. Super great spot on Via Cavour! Highly recommended.

It was a wonderful experience, with excellent service and exceptional Italian wine selection- served properly, with proper decantation and specialized wine glasses for each wine. I highly recommend it for the food, service and wine service!

What can I say about Astemio? Well...that's amore!!! I love, love, love this wine boutique!! The assortment of quality wines is fabulous. Many are very affordably-price. All Italian regions, varietals, and styles are well-represented. The champagne selection is also very impressive. Other wine regions and cocktails are available. The delicious food menu compliments the wine offerings. The food is fresh...as I watched employees walking in boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables, The staff was very approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dining is available both inside and outside. Great food and service ! Would certainly recommend this restaurant! We didn't have reservations but the went above and beyond to accommodate our party if 6 and a toddler! Fantastic knowledgeable sommelier Jacqueline! Food was excellent also! If you are in Rome this is a must !

Had the baby octopus in a tomato sauce with olives and it was delicious. The Bartolo wine just added to the pleasure.

It's a great locals wine bar and wine shop with a pretty classic but high-quality menu. The food was all pretty good, the wine selection and pricing was great also. it starts off pretty quiet in the early hours but gets really busy as the night goes on. I think it's the best wine bar in the area. They have a few tables out front and they make for the perfect spot to watch Rome walk by.

Stunning restaurant with no pizza..!!.. Huge wine selection on show... Many locals drop in to buy takeaway wine... Eggplant lasagne a stand out... Also salami/meats board wonderful... I will always go here when in Rome...

After a long day at the Colosseum, with tour guide we ended up at this nice wine bar. We can recommend the starter with cheese and different hams. Then pasta and end with a dessert. 106euro. That included the starter and 2 warm dishes and 8glasses of wine

My partner decided this restaurant to met someone she has not met before but turns out to be a distant relative also staying here in Rome. It is a beautifully appointed restaurant with beautiful waitresses and the wall is lined with some expensive wines. The service is very chic and efficient. I ordered anchovy toast for the appetizer and pasta carbonara for the main course. Both were very delicious. As always I check the washrooms for cleanliness and was impressed by the decor. This restaurant sure top it with an oak barrel turn into a foot operated sink. I can't help but take a picture to prove it. It's worth a visit.

Best. Wine. Bar. Ever!!! We are from the states and have been looking for a cute place to have wine and cheese after dinner, THIS IS IT!! food is exceptional and so is the service!! Staff is very kind and knowledgeable. We will be coming back!!!

Great food, wine and atmosphere. One star removed for somewhat chilly service from our server who I think presumed we were a certain type of customer that he didn't care for, but proceeded to warm towards us as the night went on. Don't deprive yourself of the positives of this restaurant just based on some awkward service, is what I say! I would still go back and just roll my eyes at Mr. Grumpy if he gives you any grief. :)

This was our first stop after arriving in Rome, and it was so nice! We sat outside and enjoyed the best bruschetta of the trip. The waiter was very nice, and the inside of the wine bar was beautiful. It looks like you can buy pasta, olives, wine, etc. to take home as well.
