This was our 2nd visit to Aster House and it is just as charming as the 1st time. It is ideally situated in a residential area of South Kensington and the museum area of London. It is steps to the South Kensington Tube Station. There are several restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The rooms are very quiet and well appointed and the complimentary breakfast is very good and plentiful. Breakfast is served in a lovely conservatory. Leonie and her staff are very attentive to all your needs and will organize or suggest things to help make your stay memorable. I think I need to come back again because I had the best sleeps!!!!

This is a really nice place to stay, in a really nice area of London. The proprietor is friendly and works very hard to ensure your stay here is a great experience. The positive reviews are factual and speak to the effort being put forth to keep this a quality place to stay. We were VERY comfortable here, and were made to feel very welcome.

Excellent place to stay in London. Location is most convenient, within 2-10 min walk to all major public transport systems, restaurants, pharmacy, church, parks, museums, and shopping but also in a quiet tranquil corner of South Kensington. The rooms are charming and comfortable, quiet and very clean. Water pressure in shower is good as well as very good quality free toiletries and high quality towels are provided. The cleaning and kitchen staff are all professional, friendly, helpful and do their jobs with care and pride. The innkeeper, Leoni is extremely kind, pleasant, helpful, professional and accommodating always going above and beyond to make clients feel at home and are treated like royalty. She made our stay truly special. The breakfast food is also very nice and fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Aster House. Thank you Leoni for making our stay a wonderful, memorable one.

The hotel was very clean and on a very nice residential street 5 mins from the tube stop. The folks working were super helpful and cheerful., and the breakfast was a perfect start to our days. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to London, we loved it!

An outstanding B&B. Everything was perfect. Leonie was the perfect host, with comfortable rooms, lots of advice for travelers, and a breakfast that couldn't be beat. Rooms were good size for two guests. Terrific location, right down the street from a welcoming pub.

This is our home away from home in London. This was our second visit and was as wonderful as the first. This B&B is literally a 3 minute walk from the underground, and located on a beautiful and quiet street - yet loads of restaurants and stores are nearby. They have an ice machine!! The breakfast is served in the beautiful conservatory - the food and service were great. Our host, Leonie, is the best!!

This place is wonderful. The room and the entire place is sparkling clean and tidy. My room was quiet and on the first floor. The breakfast was amazing, very complete. The safe deposit box in the room isn't included. They charge for it. I am used to not paying for it as in most places it's considered a room amenity. It would be like charging to use the toilet, in my book, or to use the iron or hair dryer. I thought that was a bit tacky as it's a classy place. There is a small step to get into the bathroom, which I thought was a bit dangerous especially if you're going to the toilet in the middle of the night and you're half asleep. I tripped a couple of times. The shower was way too narrow. It is really difficult to move around without hitting the wall or the shower door. Whomever they hired to design the bathroom should go back to school. Also the sink is surrounded be granite counter and tile under it, a plumber's nightmare. I was pleased to see the room had air conditioner. However, there were no biscuits or chocolates included, which I thought would have been a nice touch. Aster House is run like a tight ship. You will see what I mean when you're there. Nevertheless, the staff did go out of their way to accommodate me. Anyhow, it's just in the heart of Kensington and a stone's throw away from South Kensington Underground Overall it's a lovely, cozy boutique or bed and breakfast type hotel on a quiet street and the bed was very comfortable. I am giving it five stars because overall my stay was pleasant. I just wish the staff would make an effort to be a bit more personable, however.

Stay here! Charming, quiet and comfortable three story (no elevator) Bed and Breakfast in a residential neighborhood that is just steps from the Underground. Rooms are clean and quiet with room service daily. Hosts are quietly helpful and can arrange trips and car services if you wish. The hosts also have advice in how to walk and see London sites. Without the hosts we would not have known about the canal walk, which is beautiful. The breakfast has many fresh options with table service provided where you can order toast, tea, and cofee to have alongside your breakfast choices. You will not be in central London where the hustle-bustle and main tourist attractions are but we preferred being able to retreat away from the most touristy parts of London with a short tube ride to the calm and quiet of Aster House. Thank you Leone and team!

Yelp
Loved this BnB, Leonie and her staff (dining, room attendants) were welcoming, informative, attentive and very much customer focused. The room we had was exceptional (decor, cleanliness, room & toiletries amenities) very comfortable sitting furniture and bedding. It was located in an ideal neighborhood with a variety of easily accessible eateries, groceries and with 1 1/2 block of tube station. As a first time visitor to London this accommodation made our a little over a week comfortable, relaxing and just a fulfilling and overall positive stay in London, thank you Aster House staff. Worth returning to for future London visits.

Yelp
Leonie, the proprietor of the Aster House, is the supreme concierge. We have been her guest 3 times now-she held my hand the first time-telling me to get short rest after arriving and then giving us a wake up call a couple hours later so we could conquer jet lag. The comradery amongst guests is a bright spot of our London visits. We would never have known not to miss Greenwich if not for a lovely mother daughter sitting near us one morning. My 3 adult children refuse to stay anywhere else. It is precious.

Yelp
I stayed at the Aster House this past week for my first trip to London with my Grandmother and my sister. It was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast in general, so I was unsure really of what I was expecting. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by the owner, Leonie. She is absolutely an amazing owner and manager, and throughout our stay she was extremely helpful! From ensuring my grandmother had a room that was as close to the first floor as possible, to arranging our day trip to Stonehenge and Bath, she was simply fantastic! The first thing that I would note is that this location is not handicap accessible. To even enter the location (it is a townhouse) you must go up about 3 steps. To go to L'Orangerie where the breakfast is held is also up a flight of stairs from the ground floor as well. My grandmother was able to do the one flight, but had her room been on any other floor it most certainly would have been a struggle. I shared a room with my sister, and we were located on the second floor. Our room had two twin beds, a desk (with a complete tea/coffee service), an armoir, an armchair, and a bathroom with a stand-up shower (no tub). This was the perfect size for two people. The room was serviced every day, and we were provided with fresh towels. One thing to note is that the showers are quite small. I'm 5'4' and fairly fit. While there was some height to the shower head, my elbows would often hit the walls or the shower door when I would wash your hair. This wasn't necessarily a problem, but something to note. Overall, I would definitely stay here again - most certainly because of its cleanliness and the helpful friendly staff, but also because of its proximity to some amazing restaurants and pubs (the Zetland Arms pub is on the corner, about a 2 minute walk) as well as proximity to a taxi rank and the South Kensington Underground stop. Thank you Leonie and staff for a wonderful first trip to London!

Yelp
Me and my family (10 & 12 yr kids and my 83 yr old mom) stumbled upon this place by accident. From the moment we met Leonie (manager) that first day, until the day we left (10 days later), we had excellent experience there. Both her and Lola, who also works there, were extremely kind and extra helpful with my mom, who can't walk well and w/us, in terms of showing us where to go and best ways to get there. Leonie is extremely knowledgeable about the town. It's clean and very comfortable. Nice breakfast every morning & fresh sheets and towels every day. I highly recommend this place

Yelp
Stayed at Aster B&B for seven days in March 2015. Pluses: The hotel room is extremely clean, with not a speck of dirt nor dust. Room has modern central heating and air conditioning. Building has been thoroughly modernized electrical system, with multiple electric outlets. Hotel has excellent wifi. Bathroom and fixtures are in excellent condition. Hotel is located in a great location, less than two blocks from South Kensington Underground Station with Circle, District, Piccadilly Lines Heathrow can be directly reached with Piccadilly Line and no transfer Hotel has friendly and helpful proprietors and staff. Made easy online reservation and confirmation one week before arrival Room was ready early. Reasonable price for posh neighborhood. March prices were 33% off regular prices. There is a safe to store valuables. The area is generally quiet at night. Building located less than one block from night life on Old Brompton Road. Hotel serves a breakfast buffet from 8 AM to 9:30 AM. Had a choice of poached or scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, dried cereal, dried fruit, fresh fruit, multigrain bread, fresh jam, fresh pastries, and likely many items that I left out. There will not be bacon or sausages. Minuses Room is small, with bathroom being tiny No elevator, but I only brought a backpack. If you bring rolling luggage, you will have to carry it up several flights of stairs.

Yelp
A lovely place to stay -- very clean and quiet. Charming inside and out. We stayed 7 nights. The bathroom is really tiny, and they serve the same thing each and every day for breakfast. Otherwise a real gem.
