Hôtel restaurant LE SACCA - Cauterets

Very good location and the staff was friendly: however, the rooms are not good. We slept in their ‘best’ room after being placed in a room that is currently being renovated. The room had a lot of space: however, the beds were not comfortable and the mattresses are small. The shower is loose and takes a long time to warm up.

My husband and I had four wonderful nights in this charming and lovely hotel in the beautiful small town of Cauterets in the heart of the Pyrenees during June. I couldn't fault the hotel in any way . On arrival the very friendly owner insisted on upgrading our room for free. We had a choice of looking at the room we had originally booked and the one he was offering to upgrade us to and immediately accepted. It was a beautifully modern and renovated huge room with a modern bathroom. There was even tea and coffee facilities in the room which we weren't expecting as we brought our own kettle (being English !) . The bed was large and comfortable and the seating area by the window was very comfortable . In fact the whole ambience within the hotel was lovely with very friendly staff who helped me to connect all three of our devices to the internet when I had some issues. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of food and lovely coffee and croissants which is all you need sometimes in France. We ate in the hotel for 2 of our four nights and the waiter was friendly and welcoming and the food was superb. The giant profiterole dessert was perhaps a course too far but it was absolutely delicious and very filling. We had such a lovely time in Cauterets doing two huge walks in the surrounding area on two of our four days as the weather was just amazing and this hotel made it just a perfect holiday in our favourite part of France

This is a great hotel with a great team of staff and I would highly recommend to everyone. The entrance area has been renewed with lots of comfortable seating and a nice bar. The breakfast was excellent and well organised. The food in the restaurant was also very good. All the staff were charming.|My room was also renewed and tastefully done with a great bathroom.|Located right in the middle of Cauterets with easy access to bars and restaurants as well as the cable car. Parking on the street or car parks easy too.

We found the staff very welcoming and helpful, and the hotel is right in the middle of town, so handy for the télécabine and ski rental. We had three nights in a four-person room on the top floor; it was really peaceful, we barely heard any other guests even though the hotel was full! The decor is a little dated, but for the price we paid I was quite happy to ignore that.

Stayed one night at this hotel enroute from Lourdes. Rooms are average standard and service is satisfactory despite busy tour de France and world cup on TV. The hotel is walking distance into town for meals so we did not eat in hotel. But breakfast selection was good for continental style and we had a good meal before hitting the mountains. Rooms are clean but with dated furnishing which is acceptable for an old town. Receptionist was very helpful to help us find our way in town and also give us guidance to next destination

Excellent location, excellent staff, sumptuous continental breakfast that is well worth the price. My friend and I planned to spend one night, with the rest of our visit to the Pyrenees in our tents, but due to bad weather ended up spending three, never one after the other. We ended up trying three different rooms. The rooms are simple but quiet, and beds are comfortable. A serious plus for hikers, they will store your street gear, keys, and anything else you don't want to lose until you get back, even if it is some days later. My only minor complaint was that wifi was not available in the rooms but only on the entrance floor. Perhaps they will change that soon.

We have just spent a week at Hotel Sacca. The staff were all very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The standard of food was higher than we expected for a 3 star hotel. Breakfast offered plenty of choice and the evening meals were delicious. We would definitely return to the hotel if we visited Cauterets again.

clean, quiet. nice room, all up to date. we were in Cauterets in the summer to walk, so the whole town is very quiet. the family who run the hotel are friendly and helpful. we were on the full board plan and the meals were simple.
