3 Days in Athens, Greece

"If you don’t want to stray that far from Athens, make for Vouliagmeni Beach: Fourteen miles from the city center (and easily accessed by local transport), it’s home to the upscale Astir Beach."

One of the best beaches in Athens. Prices though have gone massively up the last few years (70-180 euro per set) without any renovation of the sun-beds and umbrella’s the last 17 years. The quality of the umbrella’s and sun-beds are dated and of poor quality with absorbing heat that could easily produce skin burns.

We had a fantastic time at this Beach! The atmosphere was super chill and the staff were really friendly. We recommend booking sunbeds in advance, as they can fill up quickly. The only negative aspect of my experience was that we were not informed about the parking fee.

When I looked at the reviews before coming I was scared to be honest ,but after I came and visited the beach its absolutely amazing in everything. I made my reservation online from their site and when I came it was very smooth. Beach is very clean with no rocks which makes it very nice to have a swim and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Something that is a plus for me is that they don’t have loud music which makes you relax and enjoy your day. Absolutely an amazing experience that I would recommend to everyone visiting Athens !

We had a great experience in the beach. Came in at noon (12:00~) and was immediately accepted by our lovely kind waitress Anastasia. Throughout the entire day that we spent there she kept taking care of us amazingly. We ate there lunch which was perfect, Did some Wake boarding and spent the day on the beach. Prices are fair (not that expensive but worth it!) . Would definitely return here again! Thank you ❤️🇬🇷

Upscale . Entrance fee Eu 35 per person includes umbrella and beach chair. Towels available at extra 10 EU. Food variety available and prices are a bit higher than restaurants. Shallow clear water but cold in the middle of August.

The best beach in Athens. Ignore the reviews that say it’s expensive, you get more than what you pay for at Astir Beach. Everything is clean from the water, the sand and the surroundings. It makes sense to pay a little 30% extra from any other normal beach but gets back double or triple the enjoyment and experience.

I’ve vacationed at Astir Palace for 5-6 years, but this year was incredibly disappointing. A group of American tourists blatantly ignored rules — smoking cigars (NOT CIGARETTES) for hours (despite a designated smoking area), taking puff bags from the Platinum area, and letting garbage on the sand that reached the sea — all without any intervention from the staff. When I requested a puff bag, I was brushed off, while they enjoyed privileges not granted to others. For €100 per umbrella, I expect fair treatment, fresh air, and a clean beach, none of which were delivered. The staff’s lack of enforcement and obvious favoritism ruined what could have been a relaxing experience. While the location is beautiful, the unfair and unprofessional service makes it not worth the money. For a far better experience, I recommend Manko Beach at One&Only much better service and atmosphere.
