Great beer variety, cool take on service, and good food. I got the clam chowder and fresh baked bread, my wife got a burger, and we each got a different brew. You order at the bar and it’s brought to your table. The “tip” cost appears to be factored into the cost of the food… if that is true, kudos to this place. The food and beer were all very good and the portions were good without being too big.

Google
This place has indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff and some good menu options. They have gluten free bread options. Fries are not gluten free but they do have a salad option you can choose instead that is gluten free. Food was really good and they give a good quantity. We will definitely come here again.

We came to Astoria looking for something to eat. Everything was good. The crispy chicken sandwich came out hot, the Dippin Prawns and the Brewhouse sandwich were good. The Sandwich was flavorful and generous on the meat. The strawberry lemonade was sweet and had real strawberries. Our table had a good view of the river. We would certainly come back again.

This was my second time at this brewery. The first time was awesome 👌. The food was really good and the employees were very nice. This place has great vibes and an even better view! But this time our food was not very good and the employees were kind of rude. My fish and fries were cold. My friend got a grilled cheese, but it wasn't even melted. It was also on sourdough (he does not like sourdough) that was not stated on the menu. For the proce we paid this was terrible. My fish alone was 28! I also thought it was weird they could not accept tips. They had a sign about not receiving tips. The salad though.. .... very good. They have a big selection of beer on tap. They also had a few ciders. I would stop by for a beer and atmosphere. But maybe just get the salad 🥗.

Google
Great spot to have a couple of pints. Good selection of brews on tap. The food is good. Halibut tacos were delicious. Good selection of hot sauces that are fantastic. Grilled cheese is good. Clam Chowder was ok. I would go back while visiting Astoria. Pricing seems a little high. The company does a profit share with the employees, so tipping is not necessary.

The cheesy beer fondue is phenomenal! The jalapeno burger is exquisite. Will definitely come back. Thank you so much for the great food and service.

Google
I got a Po'boy with fries, and the fries were some of the best I've had. Perfect crisp and taste, with a hint of skin. The marionberry lemonade was very tasty and we got a free refill. The marionberry cobbler was an incredible treat -- seriously such a delight, not too sweet and great taste. They didn't skimp on the berries at all. The heat of the cobbler and the cool of the ice cream... Just delicious. The view of the river was beautiful and the staff were very friendly, too. A wonderful experience.

Google
Great spot on the water with tasty food and a solid craft beer selection. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful, and the beers were well-crafted with a good variety to choose from. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the waterfront views make it even better. Service was friendly. Overall, a great place to enjoy good food and drinks in a scenic setting!

Yelp
Our Oregon Thanksgiving weekend was at its end and right before crossing the bridge to Washington, we did a pit stop in Astoria to visit a gun shop and get fuel for our stomachs. After visiting a gun store nearby and asking a recommendation on a place to eat in the area, we were told to visit Astoria Brewing Company because the "avocado burger smashes". Although I had a restaurant in mind already, we searched this establishment's menu and they won us over because 1) they were already open 2) they had a good amount of kid friendly options to choose from, and 3) they had oyster shooters. Upon entering, we were greeted immediately. Our plan was to order the avocado burger, oyster shooters, and a cheese pizza for the kids but we overindulged and also got ourselves an orange soda float and an alcoholic beverage - because ordering a beer at a brewing company is a must. As the local gun shop worker said, the avocado burger was definitely worth the order. Everything else was phenomenal as well.

Yen D.

Yelp
Must get the Marionberry lemonade. Hard to find frozen Marionberry anywhere else. Got the fish and chips. Was cooked well but nothing to write home about. The fries were decently cooked but not crispy or fluffy inside. Service was a bit slow. A decent amount of long tables is inside so good if you don't mind sharing a table with others

Chris R.

Yelp
Fun people, great view, nice ambiance, lots of merch, oh! and the food is good too. These folks have decided to pay their people well, so tipping is verboten. Love this place!

Yelp
It's the oldest Craft brewery in Astoria so there's plenty of experimenting experience making simple and complex beers with hop varieties. We tasted the pallet delightful IPA's on tap in the tasting room, which has a little bit of a Columbia River view sitting on the back patio - river breeze and warf aromas rolling through the tasting room - nice vibe for beer drinking! TheIPA's are my old time traditional hoppy and bitter not too malty West Coast style (true IPA) with floral and citrus notes. So come on down to the tasting room, next door to the main beer and dining space normally packed out. Find out why ABC serves some of the best craft brews in town.

Dave B.

Yelp
Stopped in to ABC for dinner on the way out of town. View was amazing! We sat inside but right by the open area. Great view of the Columbia. Ordered the halibut fish n chips which was way overpriced. Flavor was fine, but two of the smallest pieces of halibut I've ever seen. Shared a basket of rings which were great. The service left a lot to be desired. Maybe it's the no tipping policy, but not one friendly staff member in the place. From the hostess who sat us down and simply pointed to the order station to the person who dropped the food. It was rough. Maybe we just caught everyone on a bad night. Oh well.

Liliana A.

Yelp
Came in for a beer and we really enjoyed the views! All the food looked very good though! Also the prices are not bad at all for not having to tip since they pay their employees equal!

Angela J.

Yelp
Order at the bar. No tips price reflects tips. Food was delicious! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for a crowd. The servers were curt and not real friendly. The beer was true to variety and also delicious.

Christina M.

Yelp
While visiting the cute town of Astoria, we stopped in and tried a beer flight. What a good experience. They sat us by the roll up door, which was open so we got the nice cool breeze. After getting our seat, we went to make our order. They brought our flights to our table. Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Our beer flight ranged from wheats, to porters, to ciders and all were delicious!

Yelp
Date/Time: 7/26/24 Friday 6:30pm Bartender male with long hair was very Rude. Definitely should not be working in a customer service environment. He wasn't just rude to us he was also rude to other customers. The rest of the servers and people were very nice but this guy ruins the whole vibe. The reason why I gave this establishment 2 stars is purely due to the bartender with a bad attitude otherwise I would have given it 4 stars. Try the cobbler:)

Rick G.

Yelp
This place is huge yet old-style comfortable - a perfect American Pub! As you walk to the non-descript building it sits in, you begin the feeling of a local, maybe a fisherman coming ashore from the docks across the street, already longing for a pint! This is an amazing brew pub, restaurant, and shop! Spacious in no-nonsense décor, simple pub furnishings from the bar to the tables - you're comfortable upon walking in. From the fisherman's-style corrugated bar sides, wide top bars, to the beer barrel tabletops, to their ale samplers or food choices - it's one great visit. Fish sandwiches or Fish & Chips, incredible views of the wharf through immense panoramic windows, to inside or outside seating - next time we're in Astoria, this will be a main stop. Oh, by the way, the beers are fantastic! A testament to their longevity!

Nellyda A.

Yelp
I was trying to decide between three and four stars. The view and location is epic. The food definitely left something to be desired. The service is a mix between ordering at the counter and having food delivered. The tips are included in the price which makes for hefty pricing for what is essentially bar food. I would say, go here for beers, but save your appetite for food at another location that specializes in food.

David C.

Yelp
Food was great beer was excellent. You can watch the boats go by or watch people walking on the boardwalk. Service was great and a very cool gift shop. Definitely going back.

Dan S.

Yelp
Always wanted to check out Astoria Brewing and certainly was impressed. The atmosphere inside was massive with beer hall-type tables. Huge picture windows that look out to the outside deck. The deck is small, but beautiful and where you bring your furry friend. They have a full pub menu and the beer was fantastic. Overall great vibe !!

Allison R.

Yelp
Nice bar food with a great view. During their better weather season the place is open to the outside and has a patio that looks out directly to the bay. It is right next to the Astoria trolley as well. Food is good, but wouldn't say its the best food in the area definitely came more for the view. There are really large tables, open seating and you go up to the counter to order. The beer is pretty good and there are tons of beers on draft. Personally didn't interact with the staff much and cashier wasn't old enough to drink though gave some suggestions as to what was popular/commonly ordered.

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Everything includes tips now. Which means more falls in the consumer to pay the employees than the employer itself self. Which also means it doesn't give incentive for employees to work better for better tips. Not into footing the bills now so employers rank more profits off of ripping its costumers and employees off.

Brongaene G.

Yelp
I have wished for years to drink a glass of real root beer and unexpectedly got to today here. It was nothing less than awesome! Server dude was a bit too cool for school but the root beer made up for it.

Kary V.

Yelp
Great view of the water. Delicious food. Awesome staff. Yummy drinks. Will come back next time I'm in Astoria!

Donna V.

Yelp
Some good some bad! Chowder was delicious one of the best I have had. We had fish and chips, fries not very good and Cole slaw was horrible fish was good but just a little over done. Price was very high however so doubt if we will return

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Service sucks! All the way around - not good. Food sucks! We ordered 3 kids grilled cheeses and 1 adult and got 3 adult, 1 kid. The kid grilled cheese was burnt. The adult grilled cheeses were cold with cold fries. Asked to have it remade and they remade the adult grilled cheeses. They were warm but the kids did not want the cheddar/swiss/pepperjack that came on the adult sandwiches. Ordered a bowl of chowder, it came cold. Got another bowl and it had waaay too much salt and paprika on it- couldn't eat it. Had to send it back.

Wade T.

Yelp
Oh my, think through the concept of customer service. Holding people behind a plastic chain to wait for no one to come, in what appears to be open seating environment, only to be told can't serve you a beer without a table #. Walked 1 block to a better place who serves good beer with a smile. Not a sustainable business model, change it up. For

Jim K.

Yelp
We had an absolutely amazing lunch here during our visit to Astoria. The fish and chips were some of the best I have ever tasted! So fresh and tasty! The staff here is excellent and very welcoming. You will need to walk throughout the restaurant to take in all of the local memorabilia they have. Truly a one of a kind spot and a must when visiting this lovely city!

K H.

Yelp
Delicious beer. Friendly service. Tasty salads. Awesome fish and chips. What more could you ask for? They also have a lot of cool Astoria and Goonies merch. This place is amazing.

Barbara S.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Astoria Brewing for dinner on a Tuesday evening earlier this week. It was our first time to eat there and to try their brew. We have been to all of the other breweries in town over the years and we finally visited the oldest one. The dining room has a wonderful view of the Columbia River and the Astoria Riverwalk. We loved the decor and ambiance inside the restaurant. There is also a gift shop inside. I ordered halibut fish and chips and my husband ordered a burger with fries. We each ordered a pint of their brew. The beer was very good and we like it enough to buy two 32 oz. canned growlers to take home with us. The service was excellent, but we both were disappointed that the fries were not served fresh from the fryer, but they were still warm but got cold before we finished our entrees. The halibut was cooked perfectly but the tartar sauce was really blah--just seasoned with dill. (A little horseradish would improve their recipe.) My husband's burger was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. It was a pleasant dining experience on a quiet evening. We sat next to the window and enjoyed our view of the river. Before we left, we even had the opportunity to talk to the manager/owner and learned a lot about the history of Astoria Brewing. We will definitely go back again.

Erik P.

Yelp
Beer was very good. Onion rings- good and a lot Clam chowder- decent Tine waiting for 2 beers to be delivered - 20+ min

Brian B.

Yelp
This was our first stop in Astoria. We shared a flight and lunch. The atmosphere is classy/casual. Their big windows help you to forget that you are at a brewery. The brews are all delicious and on point for their style. For food we shared the fish tacos and clam chowder. The chowder was a perfect cup on a cool/rainy morning, warmed us right up. The fish tacos were amongst the best I have ever had, definitely recommend.

Lora B.

Yelp
Loved everything about our experience at Astoria Brewing Company. The chicken sandwich was one of the best! The clam chowder was delicious and has bacon! Fries excellent! Fish and chips were so good! And the Pilsner! Yummy! Loved the ambiance and a great staff! Would go again but this time save room for dessert!

Rebecca B.

Yelp
This was a great spot! Everyone in our party of 4 wanted something different. We were able to make everyone happy here. The food was so tasty and the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and funny. It was really quiet (Tuesday night) but the decor inside was fun. There were a ton of souvenirs available for purchase too, so that is great for tourists! I'd definitely go back and try something else next time (because everyone loved their food so everything seemed good on the menu).

Trampas F.

Yelp
Good food and an awesome atmosphere on the beautiful Columbia River! The beer is damn tasty too.

Miranda C.

Yelp
Great beer & a full food menu! They have awesome water views and dedicated parking close by. Service was great too! Good place to grab lunch with amazing views!!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
We stopped here on Saturday afternoon for a lunch as we have 2 dogs. We were able to be seated at the side in which you had to go inside to place your order but they did bring it outside. Menu options were plentiful. Ordered food and drinks and delivered quickly (although busy). Fish was a little over done but the fries were tasty. Super thoughtful about dogs as we were offered water dishes for both. Would recommend if in the area - especially if you have four legged family members

Margaret M.

Yelp
Only stopped in for a quick beer. The bartender helped me pick out something that suited my "somewhat picky " taste and he did an amazing job. Okay, let's face it, if it's not a shock top or blue moon I usually bitch. I walk into a brewery- isn't gonna happen. This guy did a great job and if I come back to Astoria I would definitely come back to the brewing company. Great job!

Angela P.

Yelp
Great food and nice staff!! We started with the chips and salsa and the salsa was so good! It had great flavor. I had the hot chicken sandwich and my husband had the regular one and we both loved them! The chicken was so good and crispy. If we are ever back in Astoria, this is a must do!

Thomas V.

Yelp
Pros: The food and beer are amazing. They have a larger selection of stouts than I've ever seen at a brewery. I highly recommend visiting.. IF you can figure out when they're open. Cons: They don't seem to have anyone managing their website or social media, and no one answers their phone. Between that and the hours showing incorrectly on Google, it's impossible to know if they are open without physically coming here.

Mary S.

Yelp
Good food, great view, and friendly service. The no tipping policy was refreshing! I wish more restaurants would pay the staff what they are worth instead of expecting customers to fill the gap.

Tanner R.

Yelp
3 stars is pushing it. Especially when they overcharge you.... not sure how I feel about giving them 3, but 2 seems mildly unfair also.....Can yelp get with it and start allowing for half stars! We were stopping in for a quick lunch/snack before heading off to see one of Oregon's thousand waterfalls(all of them amazing)..... A quick google search led us here. I wasn't drinking so I just got the rootbeer.....not really sure if it had alcohol or not since it's on the big board next to the beers, but I liked it just fine. My GF did not though! It was too much for her. She did however like her hazy IPA. We ordered the fish n chips with 3 pieces of halibut. We ordered 3, got 2..... Paid for 3, got 2......see the problem there.... and then the worst part was the actual fish n chips were just meh. I probably should have went elsewhere for fish n chips since this place is 5th on the list for Astoria, but the brewery combined with the awesome view made us go here. I now understand why they don't come close to the top of the list for fish n chips though, if you are looking for the best ones, skip this place. My GF thought maybe they heard her wrong and only charged her for 2 so she didn't want me to say anything, but when we checked later they definitely charged for 3 pieces. I get that mistakes happen though, unfortunately, they mistakenly gave a hungry man less food than ordered, so that factors in here dropping this to 2 stars. Ultimately this place like many others in this realm of the country charge way more than the foods worth. They even charge for extra tartar sauce.... Worst part is they give you the smallest amount to start with so you have to order extra because what they give is enough for 2 bites, literally! The coleslaw sucked! Unfolavorful, and bland as it could ever be. The fries were fine, but nothing special. Overall we won't be returning.

B H.

Yelp
Good food and beers. Not much of a wait - might be a little more if you're uncomfortable at a community table. Since they have multiple businesses within the same building, finding the one for the restaurant is an amusing challenge.

Kyle B.

Yelp
Excellent burgers and even better beer. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. The seating isn't great, kind of like a cafeteria but it's not too bad. Other than that one small issue, this place is fantastic.

Mark T.

Yelp
I stopped here with family and friends for lunch while in Astoria. The dining area is right in the waterfront where you can watch ships move up and down the Columbia. Their food is typical American bar food. The wheelhouse APA I had was really good and went well with the beer cheese, chowder, and onion rings we shared. The staff was all friendly. A note: they don't have typical table service. You order from the bar and a staff member brings your food and beer out when it's ready. I only mention this because I overheard a woman complaining that their server hadn't visited their table yet.

Alana C.

Yelp
Seeking a place near the water, we ducked into this spot at lunchtime on a very hot day. We were sat immediately, with room for our baby's stroller, which was ideal. There's plenty to look at inside, and countless local items to purchase like wine, snacks, mugs and Goonies shirts. The hostess gave us menus, but the mode of operation is to walk up and order at the bar. My husband and I shared a beef brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich, and our nanny got a side salad with smoked salmon. Notes on food: * Our oyster shooters came in little disposable plastic cups, and WERE WARM (ick!). I also got a large piece of broken shell in my shooter, a possible choking hazard. * The produce sticker was left on a slice of bell pepper and served in the salad. * The pork and beef brisket tasted oddly alike, both dry and not juicy or delicious like we'd hoped. * The strawberry lemonade had old greying strawberries lurking in the bottom of the glass, and tasted dull. * The draft beers were served in warm-ish mugs. * On the other hand, The French fries were excellent. Service was just ok. Quite bland personality-wise and not overly friendly. Conclusion: while I loved the fresh air coming thru the open patio and the view of the water, I would rather check out other eateries in the vicinity before having to return here.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
What a fabulous coastal brewery! Though you may not always be able to see the Columbia from the brewery, the breezes and mountain views are abundant. I personally loved the historic buildings that surround the large patio and tasting room. The beer selections are well curated and even offer several seasonal options, with the food menu including perfect fare to match the vibe. The line to order both drinks and food was long for us at first, but after a few minutes, we made it to the front of the line. Once seated with our flights, which the kind staff helped us choose, our food arrived very fast and was very fresh. We spent most of our evening on the fourth of July enjoying views, music, beer, and this fantastic crowd. Thanks for a great time, we will surely be back!

Spencer H.

Yelp
Cute brewpub on the Columbia in Astoria. I'm surprised by the average reviews here - food and ambiance are top notch; beer was average; price point average. Came here for dinner on July 4th. Ordered the brisket and cheese sandwich - it was excellent. Their lager beer was average at best. Took in the food and drink with a gorgeous view overlooking the river. Service was solid - nothing to remark on which means it was good? I'd come back

Donna M.

Yelp
Great view, unfortunately best part. Be prepared to wait for a table and then be told to get in a line to order your food after you're seated. Also, don't leave your seat to use the restroom or get another beer without leaving someone at your table, someone may claim it. Chairs were broken, very sharp and dangerous to sit in. U ordered the Hazelnut salad which was supposed to have spring mix but instead was romaine and a few pieces of spinach, $22., was just ok. My husband ordered fish and chips and subbed for onion rings, $37., was pretty good. They have a new philosophy to price their items fairly to include tip amounts. Not sure what you would be tipping for, they deliver your food and never come back to your table. Very disappointed.

Andrea H.

Yelp
Yum! The food was so good. We ordered the clam chowder a long with the fondue appetizer and wow did it hit them spot. The wine not so much however the food made up for it!! While in town will definitely visit again!! The gift store area will give you some belly laughs.

Lee D.

Yelp
Brewery number 2 out of 14. We hit 4 total today out of the 14 breweries on Oregon's North Coast Craft Beer Trail. Formerly known as the Wet Dog Cafe & Brewery. Quality/Quantity - What is Beer Jelly? See picture. Burgers, seafood, craft beers, etc. Happy Hour. Live music, dancing. Atmosphere - Huge place. Huge selection of merchandise for sale, see pictures. Indoor/outdoor seating. Service - Good, but short staffed, so expect their wait times to be longer than normal. 1st come 1st serve, so they currently have no reservations until further notice. Price - N/A; we did not eat or drink on this visit due to just leaving the previous brewery. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success and also for being the "oldest" microbrewery here since 1995. 1995 Wet Dog Cafe. 1997 Pacific Rim Brewery. 2005 Astoria Brewing Co.

Shar R.

Yelp
Food was tasty but not outstanding. 'All inclusive' price ($25 sandwich) included a wait in line to order, go back to get your own water, salt and pepper, sauces and get back in line if you want anything else!

J S.

Yelp
Meh. That's all I can really say about this place. That, and I think I need to find a new place to eat when I'm in Astoria. I'm a fish & chips junkie. I love that dish when it's a great one. Astoria Brewing doesn't offer a great one. It's good, not great. The star of the dish WAS the fish. I had the three piece. It's halibut. It was light & flaky, a bit on the greasy side, but still OK. No spices or flavor at all in the tempura style batter, but it was crisp. The fries? BLAND. Tasted like mass-produced, straight out of a 10lb bag of industrial frozen fries. Cole slaw? BLAND. No flavor beyond the cabbage and whatever the dressing was. My soft drink was advertised as bottomless, but no server ever came by after initially delivering it and the food. I used to love this place back when it was The Wet Dog. This will likely be my last trip here.

Kurt P.

Yelp
Great setting right on the river walk. We sat next to the huge open windows looking out into the harbor, great view! We ordered a flight and some chips & salsa. Customer service was friendly and our food and drinks arrived promptly. The flight was beautiful - they have those cute little mugs which provide a generous portion for a flight of five. I enjoyed the beers, but I thought they lacked flavor across the board. OTOH the salsa provide with the chips was exceptionally flavorful and had just the right amount of heat. We spent a pleasant hour here - I'd like to return and try some of the other items on their food menu, they have a diverse offering.

Mama M.

Yelp
We tried this brewery out over the weekend! Clean. Service was good. Food was incredible. Giving four stars only because I'm so over the order at the counter culture. I wanna be able to tip our servers, and not panic when I'm ordering cause there's a long line.

Alden C.

Yelp
I've been to this space before but it was a different brewery. Sounds like Astoria Brewing and the one that was here merged. The beer is okay. By no means something I think that's extremely creative with their recipe making but on the flip side you can't beat the view here of the Columbia River. It's definitely something to experience and makes it a must for coming to this brewery when in Astoria. Impressive gift and merch shop here. It's pretty big and quite a bit to pick from which is good! For beer Steve and I got the same thing. The Lincoln Lager. Not a bad as it is clean and smooth to drink with a nice maltiness to it. Plenty of other variety of beers to try here as well so there is nothing short in the variety department here!
