Astoria Food Pantry

We’ve volunteered for a while and delivered groceries. Great experience - they just need better carts to take out on the streets. I wish local businesses would donate shopping carts that work. Amazing community space- get involved! Also loved their life drawing sessions- hope that there will be more .

They give you very little food. The only good thing they gave me a comforter and two sets of sheets and dishes and cups.

This is not just a food pantry it's a community. Wonderful accepting community. Frequently have open mics, art workshops, and other fun events.

An awesome place with many awesome people. Volunteering is a pleasure there and there's resources for anyone and everyone. They deserve all the love and support!

This pantry even though small caters to a wide cross section of ethnicities and thus have to be diverse in their selections handed out only once a week on Mondays however, it's a first come service until everything runs out. At times they run out of stock but one quite noticable trait 'Always Fresh Never Stale ' unlike other pantries that give spoiled, rotten, expired, unedible food that has to be thrown away. Thus far their standards are high and Staff very courteous as always.

I am so grateful for the Astoria Food Pantry. Really I am.. I do have to say that the volunteers are not always the best. When I went in today to pick up a few things I felt judged and demeaned. It was something I never expected since every other time I came in I felt welcomed and humbled. I know volunteers are crucial for establishments like the Astoria Food Pantry but I do believe the volunteers should be nice and inviting not knowing how hard it is for a bunch of us to be there. I felt shunned.

I came here the first time this week, the staff was very nice and helpful. I am grateful this place is open near me.
