When we arrived, there was a group of non-English speaking men, drinking and playing loud music. They had cases and cases of glass beer bottles and appeared quite intoxicated. They were finishing off what looked like the last of their alcohol, stumbling about trying to get dry clothes on. They gathered part of their mess and started to stumble away, dropping glass bottles that broke among the rocks. I and another group quickly brought this to their attention. They stopped and looked back. One of them was decent enough to come back and pick up their broken glass while others in their group were cursing at us. Several people (from the LNT group) jumped up and began gathering their wet and destroyed beer boxes and other various items they were leaving behind, taking it to them. The language barrier was clearly a challenge as they did not seem to understand no-glass and pack it in pack it out system everyone else there appeared to follow. They were a disappointment to humanity with their lack of respect for nature and other people, including wildlife, which surely make way across those rocks alone the river. BUT, other than that incident, the remaining people, including children and a few dogs, were well-behaved, polite, friendly, and respectful of each other AND their environment which enabled an atmosphere that could be peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable. I might be a good idea to have a sign of what is expected of people to be in English AND Spanish. Don't misunderstand this review. I don't care what language you speak, what color you are, or where in the universe you came. I do care about how one treats their environment and other beings. Please be respectful. That land is available for all to enjoy. BUT it belongs to the wildlife that lives there, in and on the land, in the air, and in the water. This is THEIR home. Honor it. Be respectful. Keep it clean. Be conscious to leave no trace. Thank you.
